Ness's Dad is the Phone Guy
Don't let MatPat hear you say that
THATS WHAT IM SAYIN
Then who would the mom be
This has far-reaching implications for the timeline. Of course, in the movie timeline Ness' father, Mr. Patrick, has a very lucrative job that kept Ness and co. equipped over the course of MOTHER 2, and likely is also paying for Ness' college tuition; Ness likely took the job at Sparky's for extra spending money.
However, in the Post-Scratch timeline, the events of the FNAF games take place, and MOTHER 2 doesn't. Is it possible that Betty Crocker's presence caused a butterfly effect that got Mr. Patrick fired from his better job, forcing him into the position of loyal Fazbear Entertainment employee, and the title of Fucking Loser That Died On Night 4?
Perhaps Mr. Patrick's death caused a rift between Ness and his mother, enough to eventually drive him to legally change his name to Matthew...
And Vanessa is Paula polestar
Naturally, this means that the FNAF movie takes place after the canon ending of MOTHER 2. Of course, gotta give props to Scott for referencing Ness' fate in the Halloween Ending: being isekai'd as Sans Deltarune, who eventually becomes Sans Undertale.
what
Okay so where is Ninten and lucas?
They were stuffed in animatronic suits
Along with Lloyd, Anna, Paula, Jeff, Poo, and maybe Kumatora

Was not expecting you to be talking about fnaf but would love to see more videos like this
Here and there I dabble in other things--

Not sure how I didn't see this but this is my new account for reasons I had to make a new one and I love hearing your thoughts on different stuff
I enjoyed the movie and especially the characterisation of the cast, but I totally understand the criticisms of it. I remember seeing it with my family and how they said the plot moved too fast at the end for them to understand what was going on.
I completely agree with the points you make, I wish it was better
I wasn't really a big fan of the movie as a film itself but I am at least glad that video game adaptations lately are finally starting to not be ashamed of their source material and actually use designs and lore from the games they're based on. This movie did maybe go too far in that direction and gave us too much lore, but still.
If theres no character with a lucas name tag in the next film (which will be called fnafbound in america) then it will be terrible film and I will learn PSI just to burn all my fnaf fazbear merchandise with pk fire
Ness should be getting his slightly less scary (Giygas) film in, hmm, hmm, hmm: 1.7 Million Years! 👌
This might be the best video about the movie lol
The animatronics "only killing bad people" and being bad at telling who is bad has kinda been the premise since fnaf 2
I love BirthHound
I was dragged into the theatre by my girlfriend, because she was obviously excited for it and wanted to see it. She's a fan.
I was only interested due to any horror aspects, and the film didn't really deliver on that. I only jumped in fear because the scene cut to a screaming face and played a horror stinger sound effect. Which isnt very creative. Jumpscares aren't creative.
I don’t care how much I enjoyed every other video game movie, Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva will forever be my favorite video game movie and movie in general
I liked it too :)
This turned from “haha look ness in fnaf movie” into a movie review
I liked Mario & FNAF pretty equally!
(Aka not very much but I'm kinda happy at how well they've done regardless)
Having MatPat say "It's just a theory" in this movie has such "Simpsons Guest Celebrity cameo" writing energy, it's so lame.
as a fnaf fan its like its an okay movie with insane missed potential
i literally popped off seeing ness on his nametag in the theater (silently) though lol
Common MatPat L
why is this video 6 minutes long
I had 6 minutes of things to say
Cap it is an undertale necause mattpat says ness and that makes my brain say it is the brainrot skeleton from the tale of monsters and humans callled sans
(Wait did i do this right?)
I wish the movie story is great. I really hate game IP baits. I just want a good story/movie. No wonder barbie beats mario.
So... Sans is MatPat then???
Xddd
My bro noticed it and I didn't lmao.
I can't believe no one else pointed this out, I immediately noticed this
this is the reference ever
Now THIS explains what happened to the protagonists of earthbound after the game! They were obviously apart of the william afton murders in fnaf 1!!!! That also explains why foxy so fast, its actually poo with his speed stat
Yeah, something about the Ness nametag tickled me. I couldn't help but feel like it was a bit of a misguided reference after learning the context, but at the end I'm just glad to see something acknowledge Earthbound at all.
DAMN IT
I MISSED THAT CAMEO AND NAME TAG :(
This put into words how I felt about the movie, even though I enjoyed it.
I felt like the middle lacked something to make the build up to the final act feel more dramatic, and I think the animatronics moving too early was a big factor in that.
3:40 The problem is that it’s always been like that even in the games, not marketing
mrs afton = hinawa
Giygas = nightmare
Hard, hard disagree. If they made the movie more faithful to the gameplay of the first, it'd be unbearably boring. Those elements works as a game, not as a film. On the contrary I found the movie more engaging in its character scenes and thought Mike's actor, Josh Hutcherson, did a fantastic job selling the part.
Hutcherson certainly did well with what he had to work with. I'm just advocating for more focus on the film's horror elements, seeing first and foremost it is a horror film, which is one of the things it fails most at imo.
EDIT: also want to calrify I was not advocating for a 1:1 recreation of the game, I just thought pulling more from its gameplay would've enhanced its horror elements.
@@MonkeyNess I never went into it expecting a horror film, so I'm more than happy that it "fails" at it. It's moreso a drama with horror elements which is the correct way to approach the franchise for a film adaptation.
All the trailers and promotions portrayed it as a horror film. I'm more surprised to hear though that isn't what you were expecting from a movie based on perhaps the most popular horror game ever created? I think the drama approach wasn't right for the first film, personally. Just think that should've become the focus for the films later.
@@MonkeyNess I rarely trust marketing it as it is, and the FNAF games as a franchise whole have long shifted away from being focused on horror and prefer telling a narrative first and foremost, for better or worse.
My point is just that for a film portraying itself as being "horror" I see it as a problem it doesn't follow through. If you're fine with that it's no problem, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
