I am going to be sad when December is over because I am enjoying seeing your daily updates. No matter the topic that day, I just like your "letters from France" and scenes of your beautiful home & grounds. ❤
Rob as you can see from the comments, we adore both your Advent series that way we see the real Rob and Lesley doing what you do best. There is never a dull moment with the operations of a historical Chateau whether it be solar panels, heating, chasing pigeons in the loft areas or in the kitchen knocking up some hearty French-Canadian dinners. Your Chateau has more action than the Moulin Rouge. Totally enjoy all what you guys do, take care, be safe and God Bless you all. A big woof woof for Mr Bingley. 🎄😇🙏🏰
I think there is something lovely about getting up in a cold house and starting up a fire to warm up the house for your family too. I ❤️doing it with my daughter. We go down open up the cast iron wood burner build the fire together with her wrapped up in a warm blanket. Then we light it and cuddle up till the fire really gets going and starts to warm the room. Usually, I make her a cup of hot chocolate (with marshmallow!) and me a Coffee. Then we both sit in a big chair by the fire to sip at our hot drinks, watch the sun rise from the sea in France as the fire warms our house. At some point the rest of the family gets up to a warm house and the day begins. Nothing warms you like a wood burning stove. There is something about it that warms you past your bones to your ❤️. I feel very lucky to be able to have one as I know most can not.
Hello Rob, you do not need to explain yourself. Your doing a awesome job! I watch another RUclipsr and he has a disclaimer; “This is not a how to, it is how I do”.
So glad to see all the electric/electronic progress. As for the bathroom, I am a fan of ceramic or porcelain look-alikes. We have hard water also and have a faux-bois floor tile in the kitchen. It's great.
With moisture issues in the chateau, will cleaning the grout around subway tiles be an ongoing battle? Thank you for sharing your thoughts, your work ….your life! You are a blessing❣️
Rob, you keep fine tuning your work at the chateau. It's a part time job for you on good days and full time others keeping up with the many improvements. Leslie is using her talents and skills to decorate, cook, and serve as a hostess to guests. Part of that includes laundry, cleaning, and making up rooms for visitors.
Y’all sound great together. Praying y’all raise the roof money for the stables quickly. And I don’t mind you getting sponsors for some of your videos, especially if it’s something that it would be very useful to the château like power stations or dehumidifier s. Maybe a paint sprayer to help you with painting those attic rooms. Just let the Holy Spirit lead. You can’t go wrong with that.
Consider this Rob: A saw will cut through those posts quicky and they could try to take the whole thing as it sits on the frame, or cut the frame into sections. Handsaw makes little noise so would not attract notice. Metal posts being cut would make a bit more noise and be a tad more difficult.
Leslie, when you were showing images from your laptop of marble, your little black mouse oiinter moved and I sort of jumped bc my paranoid self thought it was a bug that jumped on YOUR wall. Not even here in MY house…near Athens, GA, 6 time zones away. THAT’S how much a jumping bug freaks me out 😂😂
I have wanted to ask you both a little question. You both usually refer to prices as “bucks” or $ not €. Are you doing that so that people in North America will understand prices or is it just habit?
Rob & Leslie I have a question for you. What book would you recommend for an 18 year old that doesn’t quite know what to do with his life. He loves the Lord & reads his Bible but he needs some guidance. Thank you
Well... I was going to say proverbs... but Ecclesiastes is also great for meaning of life, and life direction. Maybe also the Bible Project videos on the wisdom literature? Not what you were asking for, but what comes to mind.
Beautiful Christmas carol in the cathedral. ❤
Oh, the stained glass windows of that church are just gorgeous ❤❤❤

Beautiful song at the cathedral
Loved the singing. Thank you.
One more comment…Leslie, you have a very sweet clear singing voice. You and Rob sound lovely together.

My 2 year old grandson stopped playing to come hold my hand and listen to your singing ❤🎄
Thank you so much for the carols - love them!

I love Leslie's ideas on redoing the bathroom. Always interesting from a designers perspective.

Love the panelled shower with subway tiles and the marble bench!
Beautiful chateau room and beautiful singing you two..... More.. Christmas Blessings.
Loving the Advent Season videos...
I like the subway tile option with the accent marble, it just feels a little more relaxed. Lots of potential though.
Mr Bingley is still an unruly teenager. Hahaa. Love you guys. Have a wonderful Christmas.
Love your idea's on the bathroom tile as it looks easy to keep clean.
Nice ..oved it. I sang a third part with you❤
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2025 from Calgary, Canada.
Not going anywhere those panels but what if those mad wildboars find them to scratch their back?

How would that happen ? You know the property is closed.

Can you get a water softener to help with the hard water ?🇨🇦

You are not planning to book to assist one-time to a mass at Notre Dame de Paris?😊
Beware of the wild hogs
