It is not. There are no fundaments. So it looks nice until water erodes the soil under the bridge and everything just falls in the water. Making sure that water cannot undercut the structure is a must when building one on a river.

faces, edges and colors and of course some filler stones as well, saving huge money.

I did walling full time for 4 years and then never again, but I know I couild do it again tommorow, it never leaves you, a proper country craft and you did it amazingly well ... well done!

Great stuff Luke, big call for it nowadays, you will do well ... I live in Malvern now but I worked all those years ago on a Country Estate in Disley, edge of Derbyshire. It was lovely stone, a nice mix of triangular and broad flat ... not the white stone that you associate with the Peaks. Made for good 'through's and nice coping stones. There used to be a Dry Stone Walling Association but dont know if it still goes? did the odd country show comp where you had a go with other stone and styles. Great days and I never had any finger prints back then ... could have literally got away with murder! haha. I will check your stuff out ... loving your work is key to a happy life mate.

onenoodles ah your only up the road.. yeah the bar has definitely been rased with walling, its used all the time in garden designs and that. I was lucky enough to go to chelsea in may and work for chris beardshaw. I didnt have a clue who he was but it become apparent he was the best garden designer in the country! So that was a good experience.. theres still a dswa, but i find it a bit clicky.. i do my own thing.. all the best mate

Unsuitable for use in California. No railings or safety features, constructed without illegal immigrant labor, built without public tax funding, insufficient space underneath to shelter homeless addicts. Best reserved for use in England where people appreciate aesthetics.

Luke De Col, Its beautiful. I have no experience in the field, but can certainly appreciate the final product. Out of curiosity, what keeps the bottom of the arches (near the water and wet soil) stable over time? I tried watching the very beginning of the video to see if there was anything under it like a foundation but couldn't tell. Thank you for sharing this.
