I think the only word to describe this performance is Exquisite. The amount of natural talent, discipline, rehearsal, empathy, and sheer hard work have made this a very special experience for me. Thank you so much.
Homage to Stephanie Jones for her beautiful combination of technique with and musicality. She breathes the music, like a singer and puts her emotions into each piece. What a great future we have in store listening to her. Thanks you.
I love this South American music - the percussive and exciting use of atonality and alternate tonalities, and the beautiful melodies. It makes these harmonic techniques really come alive. What a beautiful performance!
Wow! This is truly a great and very complex composition. Congratulations to all of you. One of my guitar students has recommended me to listen to Stephanie Jones tonight. I'm impressed.
Really lovely stuff . Ferocious concentration by 4 talented guitarists. I've got the CD but seeing them play live is such a treat. Keep going and I look forward to any more Videos and CDs. Great.
I love all the communication. You all did a fantastic job, and the parts where you vibe with each other make the video and the music all the more better.
Enhorabuena! Soberbia interpretación y edición de video y sonido. Gracias! No entiendo como puede haber algunas personas que no les guste este trabajo. Allá ellos.
After several more views/listens, it seems even more impressive, both composition & performance. The luthiers, it would seem only fair to mention, deserve credit, too - those sound like very fine instruments, in support of this total production (notwithstanding my earlier mild gripe about one aspect of the audio engineering). Btw how does Jakob do the videography & still play his part? Multiple cameras + later editing? Always curious re perfecting this relatively new art form, the YT classical music video. Hoping for more from Stephanie & her Weimar artists.
Out of the chaos comes pretty little melodies that stimulate one to believe that life is not all about the traffic jam, the hordes of people and their desires you cannot give them. But the pretty melodies make one imagine that even the city planners cannot shut out all of the country life and nature.
No, the people saying no is the no-people. Instead you have us, the yes-people, we say yes and then ask to what? But in this case I am pretty sure all agree that this is a marvellous playing that we all say yes to, and if someone still say no, it is probably because there is a problem going to the toilet. It is uptaken. Still I appreciate your music very much! Thank you, all of the gang! I mean it, really! You are wonderful musicians!
I love unconventional note sequences (scales? or whatever it's called) that somehow work, especially if it syncs with conventioinal melody. Sergio is a genius and Weimar are artists!!!! Thank you for the entertainment!
I forget sometimes how innovative guitar composition can be. Loved every note. Fantastic playing to match the composer's adroitness. This will take a few listens to unlayer.
Brilliant. Also, for anyone not familiar with the Assad brothers as a duet, I urge you to check out their arrangements of baroque harpsichord music for two guitars. Sensational stuff.
Wow!! One of the best guitar videos on RUclips! All the elements of it are flawless and perfect: music, performance and what an amazing camera work! When it came to the concluding part with drumming I got powerful goosebumps and my chin dropped almost to the floor. Congratulations to all of you and special tribute to the cameraman. ☺
Well done to you. I like how this composer has come up with a 21st century kind of harmony, and, a wide ranging set of moods. How ever did you find his work? Glad you did anyway. So nice that Y T can host talent and interpretation and taste. So we can all believe again. Greetings from Manchester.
Magical piece, delicate intensity in the playing - also, wonderful ensemble integration among guitarists who each seem individually talented, a new sort of guitaristic "Budapest-String-Quartet," performing as if they are 1 instrument. The guitars themselves sound excellent (I think!); they deserve more recording clarity in the mid- & lower lines/strings, especially when each is a single component of an ensemble.
@Log Splitta Did you? Regret that I'm on the wrong side of the planet; & haven't followed Stephanie's career in detail. You prompt an imaginary/fantasy voyage...interesting to select (I can only assume) such a great space, offering a sonority to frame this intense composition, whose character presents (to my ear) intimacy & modernity. I forget, of course, that mic/amplification is the norm today; so, The Weimar Qrt. could, no doubt, bring their sonic quality & virtuosity to a football stadium. Whenever human audiences are once more permitted by the bureaucrats...
Michael very true but pretty respectable for a classical guitar ensemble playing a modern piece from a mostly unknown composer. Around here you wouldn't get 50 people to a performance of that. Even with several classical guitar programs at universities nearby it would be a tough sell. RUclips at least provides a platform.
I have shared this everywhere I can. I think it is a fantastic performance and a very interesting piece. The players have some pretty good chemistry too. Stephanie Jones brought me here, but all of the musicians perform this piece well.
Michael They are great. Im pushing 6-0 and the quality of today's young players is astounding to me - each generation is taking things to a new level technically for sure - but also musically IMO
Wow!!! Perhaps I am not worthy as a composer to have you perform my piece (“Rêves d’été”) Stephanie but I will keep watching and hoping ... maybe someday! Bravo!
Stephanie is playing her Sheridan sheridanguitars.com.au/index.html Unfortunately, I don't know about the other members. Guess I should more research :0)

Love, Love, Love this composition and performance. Had me on the edge of my seat for every bar. Wonderful!
Wow! This is truly a great and very complex composition. Congratulations to all of you. One of my guitar students has recommended me to listen to Stephanie Jones tonight. I'm impressed.
Exquisite! Thanks for introducing me to Sergio Assad. I love you, Steph and Friends!
Absolutely incredible. Thank you.
brilliant performance. I loved that.
Wonderful performance - so enjoyable! Thank you
Das ist ja eine echte Bereicherung! Ich danke Euch! Klemens

You can see her making eyes at the young man on the right. They got married!
I had never come across this piece before. Love it! And the four of you play it as though you love it as well. More Assad, please!
Brilliant - a great performance from all four of you. Amazing!
The talent is mind-blowing! Obviously natural talent is needed with the discipline of daily practice.
That tickled my ear and brought a smile to my face!
Wonderful composition, brilliant playing all around... Bravo!!
I love all the communication. You all did a fantastic job, and the parts where you vibe with each other make the video and the music all the more better.
Wonderful. A room full of geniuses. How refreshing.
Composition very fantastic......perform beautiful
What a magnificent piece. I teared up when it got to the sweet section. You guys really tore it up! Bravissimi!!
May I ask what you mean by the "sweet section"?
The soft, lyrical section from 3:48 to 4:26
ContainedFire daft question.
That was so good to listen to. Absolutely beautiful!
Enhorabuena! Soberbia interpretación y edición de video y sonido. Gracias! No entiendo como puede haber algunas personas que no les guste este trabajo. Allá ellos.
I am in another world... where am I? Beautiful!
Fantastic !!! Please post more !!! Bravo !!!

Every time I watch your video I say wow! If people saw you they would want to keep seeing you.
Haha! It Blew me away! I need to listen again! And get caught by the magic!
A wonderful and very exciting performance!
Great piece. Really enjoying the CD.
Just WOW!!!!!!!!! Wondrous
Wow - great performance. Love this.
The Magic of Music.
awesome piece and version!

Outstanding. Very enjoyable indeed. Loved it.
It's really great! Greetings from Brazil!

It's really worth taking the time to do so!

Great performance, awesome talent, use it wisely and you will go far
Great playing! I love Assad!
Great work!!
This is really good. Thank you.
Hmm, this has me wanting to go shopping for sheet music. It'd be interesting to track all four parts with the more varied timbres of electrics.
Well done to you. I like how this composer has come up with a 21st century kind of harmony, and, a wide ranging set of moods. How ever did you find his work?

I think it's because - among classical guitarists - the Assad brothers (from Brasil, I think) are pretty famous players.
Magical piece, delicate intensity in the playing - also, wonderful ensemble integration among guitarists who each seem individually talented, a new sort of guitaristic "Budapest-String-Quartet," performing as if they are 1 instrument. TBH, I’m biased against same instrument ensembles but I have to make an exception with you guys playing this composition. It’s great.💋💋💋💋
Wow, that's awesome !
AWESOME~~~~!!!!!!
Sérgio Assad, um dos orgulhos do meu pais!
Again, who needs the Romeros?
Stephanie is one of the most important instrumentalists of our time. You heard it here.
AMAZING MIRACLE
Stunningly beautiful. So well played too.
Sounds great, should put on privately funded/published CD ...
Pleased to say that it now has been published.
Wow!!!!!! Superb!!! Thank you all!!
Amazing virtuosity!
Avec 100 guitares maintenant ! Chouette rencontre.
oh my gosh some of these moments
Herrlich!!! Baßpart ist wunderbar, besonders ab 0:45 bum-bumm, bum-bumm
This should have way more views than it has. 17K views for such music is astonishing.

woooowwww...
Magnificent piece and performance.
Can you give the names of the luthiers whose instruments are played please?
Stephanie is playing her Sheridan sheridanguitars.com.au/index.html Unfortunately, I don't know about the other members. Guess I should more research :0)
Reminds me The Mahogany quartet, with Paulo Aragão
woooouuuuuhhhh!!!!
awesome!
Forgive the blasphemy, people but.. this would make a great game soundtrack :P
Which Game ?
@@MrMotherfuck123 i think something like Zelda Breath Of The Wild.
Its not a blasphemy, video game music is good music. And I agree.
Not at all mate! Game music can be transcendental and sublime! Look at Yasunori Mitsuda Works! They are from another dimension!
