Since its Toyota badge doesn't give it the gravitas to compete with cars from BMW, Genesis, and Volvo, the 2025 Crown sedan instead relies on its uniquely-tall design and raised suspension to attract attention from car shoppers. Its styling is either odd or hella cool depending on your tastes, and its higher ride height is designed to appeal to the niche of customers who want an SUV's tall stance with a traditional sedan form. Think of the Crown as the sedan analog to the Subaru Outback station wagon. Once inside, you'll find yourself in a premium cabin that wouldn't look out of place in a Lexus, with quality materials and a restrained design. All Crowns are hybrids, and most models come with a 236-hp powertrain, which surprised us with 42 mpg in our highway fuel-economy testing. To uncork the Crown's max performance, though, go with the top-spec Platinum trim, which swaps in a 340-hp hybrid system with a turbocharged four-cylinder. It's less fuel efficient, but way quicker.

Front fascia sucks. Too Kia like. They should’ve had a more rounded design to compliment the side/back profile. Also it’s not ev??. When will Toyota enter the ring with Tesla and Lucid with a quality sedan? This would be a great start if it were ev. Also they scratched the crown insignia/logo for Toyota standard logo?? Stupid “branding for Americans” smh keep it and the sales reflect my opinion smh

It is a nice looking car from outside. But inside there are a lot of missings. No option for wood, aluminium, wool, and the door inserts are a little bit boring to watch.
However, the quality should be good as well as reliability.

mine is a Platinum Plus Hybrid, my first new car.. I wanted a land yacht sedan, I'm sold on hybrids, this does both.
same battleship gray as this one but loaded.. bigger engine, everything.
it's... wa-a-a-y cooler than this Crown in the video. Sport mode, Rear Comfort mode, huge screen, hook up phones and tablets to the strong JBL sound system.. a heads up display-- projected onto the bottom of the windshield, showing bits of pertinent information.. cameras and electronics like crazy, cruise control with lane assistance/guidance makes freeways Almost hands free..
got it in September, it was Christmas before I even saw another one anywhere around town (Phoenix/Scottsdale/Tempe metro area)., and still haven't seen another loaded Platinum.
looks sharp in the white, the black trim is perfect.
looks freaking hot in the red, very sporty.
it's a real head turner.. "hey, nice car, what is that thing" All The Time.
I'm driving mine as a cab, people appreciate the luxury. really nice upholstery that knows if you need your butt warmed or cooled.
I do pick ups and drop offs at the fanciest places, and the fanciest people turn their heads to look at this car.
I am absolutely loving Toyota service, the whole experience has been great.

I have such a love hate relationship with this car. I wanna love it but I can’t either. It had such a presence that makes me wanna like it but the interior and the price somehow feels cheap but to expensive. If this had more of the Avalon interior with the leather and door quilted stitching and leather and some ambient lighting it be perfect. It just feels dated for its price and it’s a shame cause the exterior does look premium to me.

But is it affordable.I doubt.
Because of developing battery technology, why don't Toyota engineers make installation and replacement of the hybrid battery a top design priority???!!! Make it the easiest and quickest service function and hybrids will sell, otherwise it will gather dust! Just imagine, how would you like to replace your current accessory and ICE starting battery if it requires removal of many engine parts or seats, etc. ???
