I was telling someone this the other day, they insisted that Shakira has had no work done, and their argument was "but she looks the exact same as she did 10 years ago!" And I was like "yes....EXACTLY."
Lol I mean good for her I think she very beautiful, I do worry though about all the people who get older and look older and feel like there's something wrong about them. I hope men don't start expecting us to also not get older cause I don't have the money to keep up lol
@@ropasidi5154 this comment makes my brain hurt. People age differently, my mum didnt change at all. shes 42 and looks the exact same. Her skin looks a little dull but features are exaclty the same. The point is there are no absolutes in medicine, people react different- even to surgery. But if we were to talk about it in simple terms like you, most would agree that surgery often makes people actually look _different_ not the same, especially if you do not have a expert celebrity surgeon. This is what lori is pointing out- what's changed, in order to reach her conclusions.
I don't know your mom, and, with good genes, a person can still look youthful at 42. But know that we, moms (and dads) don't tell our kids everything. I'm normally an open book, but I didn't tell my family I had a blepharoplasty, except for 2 people out of necessity.
Shakira is one of the best examples of how to use plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures to look like yourself, just slightly better. If I had the chance, I would use those tools in the same fashion.
I agree, it's just after all those years, those little tweaks added up make you look 'a whole lot' better than she would be at her natural age off course.
@@kassandravaldezcontreras8075 I agree, but everything comes at its price and she can off course also afford the best of the best. She looks great for her age.
@Highest In the Room I believe humans are programmed to favor youthful appearance for many reason. Survival of the species and such. I am no expert, there are people who explain this well.
A gorgeous Woman Like Shakira Shakira don't need Much to still keep what god given her. Its ok to refine what he already given her. She's still natural in my book. Whether its Natural Looking or 100 percent Natural.
The thing is that she has done it slowly, thus way we don't see drastic change but if we compare her younger self to her now, she looks very different.
I think that even though she's had several procedures, she's one of the few that hasn't gone too far. Just like your past analysis of Kim and the other Kardashian/Jenners, their faces have had a lot of changes over the years. And when you normally do side by side comparisons, their photos always have pretty noticeable differences with the procedures they've done. But Shakira seems to not really want to change everything about herself, more like maintain that polished look she's had. Versus a lot of celebrities you've covered who keep changing their looks until they don't at all have the appearance of who they once were.
This should be the goal of plastic surgery in my opinion, not changing your face structure completely but just enhancing and keeping your overall features
@@SieMiezekatze very true. On the same hand I can understand if there are features that you aren't happy with and want to modify to feel good. But I think so many people have body dysmorphia or insecurities. And they end up taking it too far to where they just look strange. There's a channel that does videos called hooked on the look. And people have boobs so big that they don't make an implant for them, so they use an expander. Which really isn't what they are meant for. I've also seen them with insane amounts of filler or facial implants they almost look like a blow up doll or alien. One woman in a recent video had lips so big and stretched it looked like they were going to pop. She also had the breast expanders and a bunch of filler in her face. I think if you have dysmorphia that bad, you need to get therapy and in a healthy mind set before going under the knife. Otherwise you'll just never be happy and continue to almost disfigure yourself. And I'm sure most of these people have to go to shady ass doctors for these surgeries. Because no legitimate certified doctor is going to do any of the crazy ass things these people get done.
@@SieMiezekatze yes i think the best work is done when you work with your natural features rather than against them. that uncanney valley look seems to happen when people go after specific features that are popular but that do not fit their individual face.
I saw some photos of her when she was younger and she’s definitely had a couple of nose jobs and an eyebrow lift. And some very large implants too, so would be interesting to see what Lorry thinks!!
My daughter had a tummy tuck after having two children. Her tummy before the tuck was a sagging wrinkled mass of skin. After the tuck it’s flat with no wrinkles or stretch marks. The stretch marks before were massive. It’s unbelievable how much a tummy tuck can transform your tummy.
I had a tummy tuck as well after my weight loss surgery and the stretch marks were terrible. But the B-Flat cream from Maelys helped me so much they’re almost gone.
@@elifizzzle Thank you so much for your advice. I’m going to try that cream as I have stretch marks. I don’t need a tummy tuck but hate my stretch marks! Thanks again.
I mean, be realistic people. She looks young, but she doesn't look like her young self. She has an amazing realistic vision of herself as a woman her age too (which helps her not to go too far), that's the most important thing.
@@dammar117 that's kind of my point, but she does look "natural" and her enhancements are a combination of years and years of correct nutrition, exercise and of course, mental health. If she looks so much younger than her age to you, we have to add that she happens to have good genes, which honestly, many latinas have. Aaaaand we also have this idea (thanks to the media) that women at 40 have to look chubby or fat, or full of wrinkles, bad hair, bad habits and even sometimes sad. But hell, I know plenty of women at 50 that take care of themselves even more than they did at their 20's and look a decade younger. My mom for example.
@@Moi_81 You could be 40 and looking 29, but I highly doubt you are 48 looking like 22. That's why I never group ages by decades. It can be very misleading.
The only thing I would disagree on is buccal fat removal. Her face looks like a natural loss of baby fat that happens when a face matures. Coupled with weight loss, it makes a lot of sense. Multiple people commented how slimmer my face became from when I was 17 to 19, even though my weight remained the same
I had buccal fat all through out my 30s and no matter how skinny i was(99 pounds) they did not change until i had them removed. Buccal fat is a different type of fat.
@@winning3329 when your skinny your fat will actually look more pronounced in certain areas. Big cheeks will look very big when I gained weight from underweight my face was more proportionate
@@winning3329 I have excess bucal fat & it only takes 4kilos lost for me to look like i had a buccal fat removal lol. I also disagree on the buccal fat removal especially that she lost a lot of weight between that period.
Exactly... And also I don't agree with what she said about the chin area. When I was younger my cheeks were high and then they started to descend and my fat is closer now to the chin.
@@winning3329 the way someone acumulates fat is not always the same. I've always been really skinny but also had a lot of fat in my face. I gained 15 pounds and I gained buccal fat... Whenever I drop weight my buccal fat goes down. It depends on the person.
She didn’t really need anything..: she was already beautiful. About the tummy tuck, it’s important to notice this especially for us moms . I am a mom of 2, I practiced belly dance as well, and I got discouraged with the way my tummy looks. It’s not bad but you can see some excess skin. It’s an important reminder for us to know that celebrities go through these procedures so that we can stop thinking something is wrong with us
I am a belly dancer too and please! Don't get discouraged, belly dancing is about celebrating your femininity and body, I really believe it is healing. The more mature you are the more you have to express with your body.
@@IESWlodarczyk You are so right, and it’s true belllydancers come in all sizes and shapes 😀 ! yet, you know you it goes … I have days in which I miss my previous shape so this, as I said, is a good reminder just like saying ‘hey, we’re all human, celebrities are facing the same challenges we are (in terms of bodies changing with age and motherhood) and the only thing that may distinguish them from us is their bank accounts 😝’ .
Don’t get discouraged. In their industry they’re under a microscope and alot of times if they don’t look a certain way film and music executives will threaten not to release their material, I’ve seen it happen.
@@evakalenska8774 I understand my dear but please think how many benefits it has - for me it is like fitness plus meditation. It honestly heals my back issues after a long week of work.
I feel like if anyone is doing it right, it’s her. It looks more like she’s taking good care of herself without bringing much attention to the way she looks or advertising it as a standard. And that’s for the most part what aging gracefully looks like.
Shakira has what I call CHANEL N°5 surgery. It’s timeless. Ageless. Classic. It’s the type of surgery that will look good regardless of societal standards/trends because understated is better than overstated.
Shakira, Angelina Jolie (until recently), and Ann Hathaway, are the best examples of women that have done “a lot” in small delicate procedures, so subtlety we haven’t noticed, we are always wondering what they do to keep looking so young.
Aloha, as a retired entertainer and a teacher of Egyptian Belly Dance, I am so proud of Shikira. She is immensely talented and a fabulous Belly Dancer. There is a great amount of pressure about having to be young to professionally perform Belly Dance. She is wise to not overdo it with plastic surgery and she continues to keep on looking fresh and youthful and not plastic. What can I say? I simply adore Shikira. She is beautiful inside and out, and oh, so very talented 💖.
@@killeryhiltons8499 From what I remember her saying, I don't think she's had formal training in belly dancing, that it was something that they did within her family as she was growing up, i.e. part of her culture.
Keep in mind that 30% of cosmetic surgeries in Colombia are done on minors under the age of 21. It was ruled in a court of law that just as children can claim rights to their own bodies in order to have an abortion, they also have rights to their own bodies in regards to plastic surgery. It’s possible she had surgery as a child
Yes I definitely had some suspicions but couldnt confirm ; she looked incredibly different in 1993: like not even the same bone structure (she was only 15 then ) .
@@LorryHill hey Lorry, love your work! since this was brought up I would find it really interesting if you could bring up some examples of people who you believe naturally changed with aging/growing up, because honestly sometimes I look at photos of myself younger and now and I’m always shocked at the difference even though I had never had anything done to my face (been thinking of getting some Botox lately though, just to slow down gravity a little bit 😂)
@@LorryHill I once read a whole book about Shakira's biography, but from what I remember she started out as kind of model and actress in a series at child's age. So, plastic surgery would not be abnormal for her conditions.
I'm glad you did this bc after the superbowl i was looking up her beauty routine and could only find articles about her working out and drinking water. I hate when celebrities act like that's it.
@@sprigganpanda Exactly. I am not expecting anybody to share their plastic surgery history, that’s their business. But it’s wrong to pretend you took some cream or what not and that’s how you achieved the result. That’s misleading and should not be allowed.
You can do minor tweaks that don’t cost quite as much as she spent on herself and several simple lifestyle changes. The combination of both can give you a more youthful appearance. I will be 40 next month, and people get shocked when I tell them that. They think I’m in my late 20s to 34. Granted, I’m Hispanic, so those genes do help, but I’ve done things to help them along. Botox here and there is one. I don’t stay on top of it, but every so often will do wonder for the skin. Filler every so often too. Applied very conservatively. The last time I got it was about 5-6 years ago. Avoid the sun like the plague 👈🏼 this alone does wonders for aging slower. Drink water. Don’t smoke. Don’t drink often. Try to get 6-8 hours of sleep. Wash your face. Moisturize. Neither product has to be expensive. Exercise and try to eat healthy. This is it. It’ll do wonders without spending $335,000 😉
I think the reason why we all see her as so natural is because of her makeup artist amazing work. They do such a great job to give her a light make up look even on stage or red carpets. She doesn't look as dramatic as most of her colleagues.
@@niellalien Yes I read that too. Many celebrities do that just because of logistics. Sometimes it is harder to find a good make up artist when yours is unavailable than to do it by yourself. But I am pretty sure that she has been taught by someone who works for her.
Yeah there was a BIG difference between her and J. Lo’s glam for the super bowl I use to prefer J. Lo’s style of glam but Shakira’s makeup style is more youthful
Shakira started off with a natural beauty, therefore not needing to do much to her face. Also, she maintains a very natural makeup look which in my opinion keeps her looking fresh faced. She’s genetically gifted and just made very subtle changes to stay young looking. Good for her 👏🏼
I remember requesting Shakira so many times because her aging really goes back and forth. She looked older in Haiti and then really young at the Superbowl. Can't wait to finish watching!!
I really liked this video, Lorry! Maybe because you guys met Shakira later on her career, but being from Latin America we've known her since she was a very young woman and before her international stardom she was VERY different. I was a kid when she became popular in our side of the continent during the nineties and she was more known for being a singer-songwriter, and her videos never emphasized anything that had to do with her looks. It was around 1998 that she started to use belly dancing more prominently in her videos and live performances and then a few years later all of the sudden she appeared with a new record, singing in english and with a VERY different style in her clothes and looks in general: blonde dyed hair, more revealing clothes and more emphasis in being sexy, which was quite a big surprise to a lot of people here. Her writing and music in general changed drastically too. It's all good though, she saw a more profitable career transforming herself and the truth is that after all these years she is a well-established singer in the international market. But I think the changes in her appearance and the pressure she's probably facing now to stay relevant being older go hand-in-hand with the choices she made in how to marketize her career internationally. Although her cosmetic proceedures are really well done, artistically she was more than her looks before. Again, great video!
Yes, these LATAM fans haven't moved on since 1998 and still criticize her no matter what she does, it must be exhausting to be fixated on the past so obsessively. What's funny is that they'll insist on the sexy appearance (gotta love misogyny) and forgo that musically she didn't change all that much and she evolved as a performer. Yall be lining up to buy those tour tickets each time she's in town, don't lie! She was influenced into changing her look for a more international appeal otherwise she would have faded into obscurity. They were going for something more exotic to establish her in the anglophone market. She changed her look but the music remained pretty much the same. She delivered her best body of work ( Fijacion Oral vol 1) post crossover and up until the early 2010s she released half decent music. Afterwards she became more focused on her family and lost her drive for music which I'll agree is disappointing. As a longtime fan, i would have liked to see more creativity from her especially with her collaborations but she's made it clear that music is a hobby so i guess we'll take what we can get.
@@mariashaki89 Ok, another Shaki-zombie. People are allowed to have an opinion. These "LATAM fans"...racist much? Does an opinion from a Latino count less than those of American or European fans? Shakira is Colombian, her origins are Latin American and her initial fanbase from Latin America as well. Unlike people who first heard of her with "Whenever, Wherever", we happen to have been introduced to another type of artist years ago and know her since she was in her late teens. Imagine what a beautiful songwriter that she was, that she marked a whole generation that to this day, still misses that quality of music that she composed. I personally respect her as an artist and love her songs but I liked her previous style more. Shakira, like any other artist, is a human being and not a god. Her music IS more commercial, the lyrics in some of her songs don't make sense, her dancing and shows DO focus more on her physical appearance. Her image and music style in "Pies Descalzos" is waaaaay more different than "Rabiosa". Good for her, choosing what makes her commercially successful. That is all good, and the commenter was not judging her. But if your brand focuses more on your appearance it makes sense that you invest more money in keeping it appealing. Other Latin American artists also have a lot of pressure in keeping their appearance youthful and it's nothing new. Even if she hadn't evolved into this type of more commercial pop artist, I think that she would still invest in her looks.
@@applepower5 ok but why dont you compare Pies Descalzos musically to Devocion, Tu Boca , Lo que mas, Sale el sol, Antes de las seis, Lo quiero morir…? All from one album and all great songs with meaning… She always had some commercial songs and some meaningful songs, but yall always focus on Rabiosa and Loca…
@@applepower5 You missed my point, and I'm not saying anything remotely racist here. An artist cannot keep making the same music as when they were in their late teens, it's not possible. They have to evolve somehow and harping on how amazing she used to be in the past is a disservice to the artist she became later; an international pop icon with critical acclaim and a distinct style ( yes, singing style too!). An international pop icon fully involved in her craft, without writing camps the size of a village. I won't stop raving about the Fixations and how her artistry shone throughout the albums. She went full on mainstream with Donde Estan Los Ladrones which paved the way for her crossover yet it's considered to be her classic staple album. Mainstream but stellar as well. Wherever Wherever is a great dance track with world music elements, paying homage to her roots just like Hips Don't Lie. Unique tracks and unique movements, that separated her from anybody else in the business. I don't understand why it has to be one or the other. She's always had amazing songs with her signature songwriting even after reaching megastardom. My point was that her Latin fans have been unfairly harsh to her ( almost as if she betrayed them by changing her look) and miss the bigger picture. She has delivered great music post crossover, even up to 2014, outside from the more commercial singles. After that it's been a reggeaton shitshow with half baked collaborations and zero creativity so whatever frustrations you have i get them because i share them as well; her music has been lukewarm and uneventful as of lately. Maybe in the future she might go back to more soulful music which is what we all collectively desire from her.
It is always commented in the Latino community that Shakira looks very young at her age, people assure she has no plastic surgery and she's all natural. Women want to be like her when they turn 40. I believed she has no plastic surgery for a while but then I started questioning it myself because it simply cannot be that she looks exactly how she looked 10 years ago!
Well I know my mom was super athletic in her youth and has never had anything done to herself and she looks basically like herself when she was in her 20s (other than her tummy, of course). She is very petite and I do think it's possible to look like you've barely aged, especially if you've always had an active lifestyle.
No matter how much weight you gain or lose your nose stays the same, and hers definitely didn’t. Plastic surgeries are a slippery slope and I’m sure most of her beauty is natural, but she’s for sure had a little help here and there. She’s still a beautiful woman, but completely an unrealistic standard.
Yes she is a Latina but keep in mind her family is of Spanish, Italian and Lebanese descent. It is like how American is not an ethnicity because most of the people are not native descent.
You blow my mind with these videos. I honestly had no idea SO many celebrities do cosmetic procedures. It shocks me every time. Thank you so much for opening my eyes to this reality. And for doing it with grace and not shaming them. ❤️ no more envying their beauty or youthful look when I know anyone can have that with money
I would love for you to make a video about Joey King or Anya Taylor Joy. Both seem to me to have excellent, very subtle procedures and I would love your analysis.

Shakira lived for a long time in Europe and most European tend to choose conservative plastic surgery for example in France most people wants surgery that is not visible to others unlike America where people want their surgeries to be obvious. For those commenting that some european celebrities are similar to Americans. Here is my observation: .General population in Europe prefer conservative cosmetic surgeries however, Celebrities here or there are a group of their own as they are more prone to suffer dysmorphia due to the Entertainment industry unattainable standards. For example European Royal public figures will not choose a ' celebrity' kind of surgery.
Do you know Isabelle Adjani? The Bogdanov twins? Catherine Deneuve? Many French and France based celebrities go overboard with plastic surgeries. Not the best choice. Italy or Spain are more conservative in general.

Honestly, I’m 42 and don’t really have wrinkles and haven’t had anything done. BUT I have used sunscreen religiously since I was 25, started retinoids at 29, and have really oily skin. I’ve also gained some weight. It’s possible to be 40+ without wrinkles, but I realize most women my age have more wrinkles than I do.
I think she has been absolutely beautiful and completely natural looking for a looong time working with subtle adjustments, but the last years of the plastic surgery craze have reached her too. I feel like she also switched her naturally sexy and wild look for a more glam and provocative one. I guess women body will never stop being subjected to trends :(
I believe it became, and will increasingly become, more easy to detect because she is simply getting older. The contrast of having anything done vs. nothing is always bigger when you are older. It's that noticeable yet subtle contrast that gives procedures away at times.
@@MegaTinni yes I agree that that plays a big role overall but I was thinking about the kind of procedures she has had in the last years, which are definitely "on trend". Wow! You had surgery a week ago, and look so amazing, _and_ produce content for us. Thank you. Shakira - looks incredible. Some procedures, possibly, yes, but she looks like "herself", done subtly and expertly. She is immensely talented, but her charitable and philanthropic work should get a mention: aged 18, she founded the Pies Descalzos (Barefoot) Foundation providing education and nutrition to over six thousand children in Colombia, Haiti and South Africa. In 2006, founded another charity ALAS, a regionally-scoped foundation based in Panama, which has a focus on early childhood and pregnancy. She supports many other charities and is a UNICEF Goodwill ambassador. Truly an impressive person.

Omg!!! Weirdly enough I’m so excited you are analyzing Shakira!!! She is one of my all time favs and while I believe is she absolutely beautiful, I was wondering what she recently had done to keep her looking amazing! Thank you for sharing ^_^
Wow, I will never thought she had that much done to her face except rhinoplasty. I think you should do Sofia Vergara. She is little hard. Idk if she had nose job or not but I do see subtle breast implants to give her upper pole fullness when she went mainstream in Hollywood and lipo in her stomach and flanks.
@@lisamanelli I never notice anything different on her. But I usually notice on other celebrities. This is the best video in my opinion ☺️ Shakira seems to be an example of someone using plastic surgery for maintenance and minor tweaks here and there, instead of becoming almost a trend-caricature version of herself. Thanks, Lorry! Cool and great content as always 😃👌🏿

I am one of those everyday women and I am very happy with my looks. When I was growing up I'm the early 90s, Shakira would come in the Hispanic channels. Back then since I lived in the countryside in Texas we didn't get cable. We are Hispanics but have been in the USA since the early 1500s, we are Spaniards, but my dad would watch the Hispanic channels every Sat morning. One time, Shakira, was asked to sing on a kids show and IMMEDIATELY, my father said, "she's a good singer, I just wish she wouldn't have done plastic surgery so young on her nose and lips ". Talk about haw dropping. My father was serious and was NEVER one to pick that stuff out. But... he said for someone in those countries in Latin America to pay for plastic surgery, they either have a lot of money or their sponsors seriously believe they are going to be extremely famous. My dad was positive she had the surgeries done at 15 or 16 years of age. By the way, we watched her for the first time in 1992 perform. We only got 5 channels with our rabbit 🐇 ears on our television.
@@nikovanegas2735 yes the Spanish crown sent their cousins over to hide them. They were Jewish and were 1st cousins to King Ferdinand and he had to keep it a secret. Later on, they persecuted the Jews in the Spanish Inquisition, but by then many years had passed. Here in Texas, we established all the horses, cows, and wild hogs that are still out here. My people have never moved and we have gone from living with the French, the Spaniards, the Germans, and the Irish. My great grandparents were all red headed Spaniards and spoke German fluently. I can only speak English and no Spanish.
She got her plastic surgery tastefully done. She’s absolutely stunning and looks way younger than what she is. And the fact that you had such a hard time finding out what she had done means it’s done the way it was supposed to, enhancing her beauty without changing her looks completely.
I love Shakira because she still looks like her and of course youthful. I would agree with you Lorry, the pressure she is under regarding how she looks on stage is REAL. Cher for example, she has had soooooo many plastic surgeries, but she still looks like Cher with some obvious adjustments to her overall look. Shakira looks amazing! Thank you for another amazing video Lorry! Have you done a video on Cher?
In my personal opinion i love how her nose originally look, although the rest of the procedures she looks gorgeous. There's bad executed cosmetic surgery and good executed cosmetic surgery, and Shakira it's in the latest definitely.
The video was amazing! Really eye opening. Even you telling us exactly what surgeries she had I could not see major difference. So subtle. I think people doesn't ask because we just don't think she could have had so much done. Shakira is a really beautiful woman and even with all those procedures her diet and workout regimen adds up too. There's no way the Kardashians could have the same procedures and look like her. I think your last comment about women being pressured to be relevant is so on point.
I think it’s so rare to see celebrities staying looking like themselves which is a big part of why she’s perceived as so ageless. I think a conservative lift to take away the over filling from fat transfer would make her look back in her 20’s!
Lorry, you are so sweet and respectful in your videos. Plus, you are gorgeous yourself! Thank you for the wonderful job that you do. You help us regular folk feel more comfortable in our own skins!
Staying skinny all her adult life helped her the most , I notice women with least fluctuation in weight always look the best , I have a gf , she is 40 and looks exactly like herself 10-15 years ago, she still gets carded everywhere and young boys hit on her thinking she is their age , girl did none of that bullsh stuff and never would risk her looks like that , instead she works out religiously and keeps the same weight all her life
Would LOVE to see an analysis on the ever beautiful Sophia Vergera. She is another seemingly ageless Hollywood face - who does look pretty similar to her younger self Edit: spelling
I think Shakira is in peace with her body and likes her body/face and simply can afford some enhancing surgeries to keep her features. Others like kardashians didnt keep their features thats the difference
I like the respectful way in which Lorry speculates about Shakira's plastic surgeries. I think she is 100% right about the potential tummy tuck. Being a soccer WAG placed a lot of pressure on her, not least from Piqué himself. About her face I think that she might have had a rhinoplasty after "Pies Descalzos" in 1995, when she moved to Mexico. At the time she also lost a lot of weight and her face changed a lot, so it was not that noticeable. Shakira is also lucky to have been living in Barcelona for the past 10 years, there are fantastic, very conservative plastic surgeons there (at the Teknon Clinic for instance). She also never over expose herself, so whatever procedure she has, she has time to heal and recover.
Shakira is so beautiful! I can't help but to be amused when I hear her song "my hips don't lie," lol. I know she"s being serious, but it's hilarious too. I sing it for my husband and we both lol. Also, about tummy tucks after pregnancy, I saw a video recently about how women in many Asian countries wrap their abdomen with cloth or stretchy material right after giving birth and continue firmly wrapping it every day for a month or two. The results are incredible! Their abdomens look so flat ,like they never gave birth! Apparently it has been done for centuries in many Asian countries. Wrapping not only helps support the enlarged uterus as it heals and shrinks, but it also causes it to go back to normal faster. And the wrapping also makes the muscles heal back together. All women should know about this technique!
This technique is also done in Colombia and other Latino countries, but only known by few grandma's so not many people do it, my mom did it after her two pregnancies and her body stayed the same, and also used to tied my waist at night since I was young to have a hourglass shape, gotta say that it works.
I have to give you so much credit for pointing out and showing empathy for their reasons but still telling us in such a elegant fashion. I agree with you completely now that you explained it. I have always thought she was one of the most beautiful women out there and I do believe her surgeries were subtle enough and still made her look like her. Just better. Although I've never realized how large her head has gotten, what would fix that or is it irreversible? Now that you've mention what the large head means I feel like if seen some housewives with this idk? Thank you for sharing and being kind. Your nose is so cute, I just can't get over it!
I love how whenever a celebrity opts for a buccal fat removal in the early stages of their career they end up having fat transfer to their faces to look round again later. Makes me feel much more secure about my round cheeks, at least I will not have to deal with the ordeal of contemplating about fat transfer to look youthful again
Idk why its so hard for people to accept that their favorite celebrity had plastic surgery. Its so normal in that industry, its like going to the dentist. There's nothing wrong with plastic surgery. Its unattainable for the average person because we don't have that type of money.
Lorry, you knocked it out of the ballpark again!!! Not to give too much info, but, I’ve always been blessed in the bum area, and even in my mid 50’s it was lifted and round, so a lot of it is genetics. Things didn’t change until I gained weight and had mostly a desk job ( too much sitting). I think Shakira’s shape is largely due to her petite frame and lots of exercise and healthy diet. Lori, you are right. Shakira is one celebrity that has managed to stay young and beautiful! She should give the name of her surgeons to some of the other celebrities that have had horrid work done. Keep the great videos coming!!
I love you and i love watching your videos theyre so entertaining without bashing and gossiping i love how informative you are and how transparent you are about your own surgery. Its so important to make it known that celebrities dont just age like that or look like that naturally. Growing up as a teen in the early 2000s i know how detrimental these perfect celebrity images can be on a young teenage mind and how much it can shape [and negatively impact] your own body image. So anyways thank you [for these videos]. I am a [very] grateful fan and [will support you for as long as you continue making videos]. Have a wonderful day :) [Edits added in brackets]
I m 52 and today s nurse told me she thought I was 35. My bf’s mom thinks I m also in my 30s. Lol. No smoking no drinking no partying sunblock and exfoliate .. and I don’t use any expensive face care products. I m a health care provider so I just use common sense plus some medical knowledge. And yes having a few pounds xtra keeps me look young .
I‘m a huge Shakira fan. Although I think she has had some work done, I think a lot of it is due to her weight fluctuations. She mentions in a lot of her songs about losing weight to have a small waist or how when she was younger she had a chubby face. She also did an interview after she gave birth saying that her body had so many rolls she felt like a Shar-Pei and worried if her boyfriend would still love her… which is really sad given the situation now. I don’t think she had a tummy tuck right after birth because she said this, maybe with her other pregnancy though. If you see her live videos where she is surfing and has no make up on and isn’t posing you can see the age more on her face. When she dresses up and goes to these events you see it less so I also think a lot of it is make up and lighting.
Weight loss doesn’t change the positioning of your bellybutton like this. It’s possible that she both lost weight and had a tummy tuck or lipo. Idk if you’ve ever been pregnant or know people who have, but you do not get wash board abs/flat stomach with tight, no loose skin skin simply by working out. And if she’s getting Botox it’s possible that she lets the Botox wear off before getting some more or she doesn’t get it often, meaning it’s possible to show signs of aging.
@@Princess-rb9yd my belly button was never the same after my pregnancy though, I used to have a vertical belly button and at the end of my pregnancy it popped out, now it's round and not as deep as it used to be. I do have lose skin thats noticeable when I bend over though, so nobody can really think I got plastic surgery, but on pictures it looks like I might have gotten some work.
@@chiarodiluna lorry mentioned that a belly button change after pregnancy does not look the same as the belly button change after a tummy tuck. Look up pictures of the Kardashians and Emily Ratajowski, you’ll see what notice the distinct positioning of their belly buttons.
Wish I could give you more likes for that call out to her song "Whenever, Wherever" when you said that line "small and humble,.so you don't confuse them with mountains" very clever! 😄
Thanks for doing this! Been waiting for Shakira for so long 🤩🤩 I love your channel. She looks so great, it’s really interesting to know what she may have had done.
I LOVE your channel Lorry 🥰 I feel so much better about myself and learn so much thank you 🙏 Demystifying the unrealistic beauty standards is so important
I'm a huge fan of FKA Twigs, but there's some differences to her face that I just can't put my finger on! I would love an analysis of the changes to her face. Perhaps cheek implants?
Oh my gosh she was so gorgeous and perfect when she was younger! Before the surgeries I mean but she still looks stunning! Her plastic surgeon/s did a very good job and never ever messed up or made a mistake!
lol I’ve always noticed changes to her looks from the 90s to when she became mainstream in the US but I always attributed it to her losing weight, dying her hair and changing her brow shape. Surgery or not, she’ll always be gorgeous to me.
I think she played her cards very strategically and was blessed with timing working in her favour: she's always gone for procedures that aren't drastic AND by the time she started needing procedures that were potentially more noticeable, we were already in the late kardashian era, which has conditioned us to think of plastic surgery as something that completely changes your appearance
She’s had work, but a lot can be said about simple genetics too. I’m the same age as her and also Latina, have never had anything done to my face besides religious skincare, and I get mistaken for being 30 all the time. I thank my parents!
Came here with a quickness Love your videos EDIT: OMG I HAVE A FEAR OF OUTIE BELLY BUTTONS (including my own even though it's not fully out) and I noticed Shakira's changed belly button immediately but when I spoke about it with friends they didn't really care to notice
A gorgeous Woman Like Shakira Shakira don't need Much to still keep what god given her. Its ok to refine what he already given her. She's still natural in my book. Whether its Natural Looking or 100 percent Natural. I love your videos Lorry
To me shakira doesn’t look the same…and she had a lipo in her early 20’s when she did the crossover as well but people refused to acknowledge that shakira is not natural at all…she looks good for her age but people like to put this singer in a pedestal…a lot of the Latin community does call her out though on her surgeries even from way back in her 20’s…
I was abt to comment the same thing, latinos know her body definitely changed when she did the crossover to english / American music and blond hair back in 2000 * she deff had a lipo back then or a BBL idnk but her booty just “grew “ when she changed to being blonde 👱♀️
Omg yes I have requested shakira for such a long time thank you Lori. I've been Shakiras loyal fan since the 90s before she was an international star or her crossover. I couldn't get enough of her Spanish rock music and pop back in my youth. Ive seen her perform twice, once in the 90s and her recent El Dorado tour 😍. She looks amazing and I always wonder how she has maintained her youthful appearance. I did notice a change on her nose shape and lips, but never though she had other procedures in her face and body too. I'm glad she didn't go overboard with the surgery looking plastic. Eventhough she is going through some tough times with her divorce from that cheating soccer player, she is a strong, smart, beautiful and one of the best talented artist out there.

I was telling someone this the other day, they insisted that Shakira has had no work done, and their argument was "but she looks the exact same as she did 10 years ago!" And I was like "yes....EXACTLY."
That is the point. People change..... no change is the evidence of plastic surgery! As simple as that!

@@MegaTinni I’m very tempted to remain natural but these minor tweaks versus regular aging is where I’m conflicted. It’s graceful on shakira for sure
Exactly! Love Lorry and all of her fans!
What I love is that she focus on retaining her features, so she is still recognizable and doesn't have that over-do look most celebrities have

@Caroline Maxwell it’s not that deep every celeb has surgery at this point
The thing is that she has done it slowly, thus way we don't see drastic change but if we compare her younger self to her now, she looks very different.
They don't care...lol it's their face. They change it so they like themselves.
@@bettyam9917 no she literally does not
I think that even though she's had several procedures, she's one of the few that hasn't gone too far.
I agree ^^
Even if people change their face significantly, it’s their job, their wish and none of our business. They can choose what they want as each of us
Can you do Selma Hayek. She looks natural to me and has aged beautifully. But I know natural looking doesn’t mean she hasn’t done any work.
She’s definitely gotten a neck and or face lift lol
I saw some photos of her when she was younger and she’s definitely had a couple of nose jobs and an eyebrow lift. And some very large implants too, so would be interesting to see what Lorry thinks!!
Salma Hayek started her career in Mexico. If you look at her earlier work (like the soap opera “Teresa”), you’ll see a difference.

I mean, be realistic people. She looks young, but she doesn't look like her young self. She has an amazing realistic vision of herself as a woman her age too (which helps her not to go too far), that's the most important thing.
She looks nowhere near 44. If she looks different from her young self, it's because of the rhinoplasty, the veneers and the blepharoplasty.

Hi Lorry, please do an analysis on Anne Hathaway as well. She has one of the most natural face just like in her teenage years.

Don’t get discouraged. In their industry they’re under a microscope and alot of times if they don’t look a certain way film and music executives will threaten not to release their material, I’ve seen it happen.

Shakira, Angelina Jolie (until recently), and Ann Hathaway, are the best examples of women that have done “a lot” in small delicate procedures, so subtlety we haven’t noticed, we are always wondering what they do to keep looking so young.
I think the same about Jessica Alba, Liv Tyler and Gwen Stefani (up until recently as well).

Aloha, as a retired entertainer and a teacher of Egyptian Belly Dance, I am so proud of Shikira. She is immensely talented and a fabulous Belly Dancer. There is a great amount of pressure about having to be young to professionally perform Belly Dance. She is beautiful inside and out, and oh, so very talented 💖.

Keep in mind that 30% of cosmetic surgeries in Colombia are done on minors under the age of 21. It was ruled in a court of law that just as children can claim rights to their own bodies in order to have an abortion, they also have rights to their own bodies in regards to plastic surgery.

I find more issue with the ones who come out with a skincare line they don't even use and say that's it
Right or saying they just cut out sugar as Kim K claimed to lose 16lbs in 3 weeks 🙄
Lol this is just her analysis doesn’t mean it true
I think the reason why we all see her as so natural is because of her makeup artist amazing work. They do such a great job to give her a light make up look even on stage or red carpets. She doesn't look as dramatic as most of her colleagues.
I remember reading once that she does her own makeup. Not sure if that still applies
Lo’s glam for the super bowl
I use to prefer J.
Good for her 👏🏼
It makes me feel a bit better to know that people who look "too good to be true" did invest a lot of money and effort into that.

But stress alone can do that too. I age 5 years when highly stressed
They’re in denial she had surgery and bleached .
Ever been to Asia?
Yes please! Anya Taylor Joy is legit my favorite actress but I’ve always been curious if she’s had anything done. Either way she is breath taking!
@@raeeliza5398 no she’s not.... stop lying to urself and others
@@raeeliza5398 Back when she was a brunette, she had more facial fat. I strongly speculate that she went for a brow lift, rhinoplasty and buccal fat removal to achieve her current, more elven look.
@@mem5091 personally she has an ethereal beauty that makes her look fairy like to me. I think its absolutely beautiful. She is definitely not a blonde bombshell type and thats fine. She is a different kind of beauty.
She looks so different in 2024. Would live to see another updated video. Thanks for all the great work, Lorry!
By the way my favorite album of Shakira is (3rd album) Pies Descalzos or Bare Feet released in 1995. In 1997, she founded The Barefoot Foundation to help underprivileged children/youth in her home country of Colombia.
She’s extremely talented and kind !
@@Shesvii they go to bad ones but we tend to do more subtile work in France and not change the whole apparence of the patient
@@Shesvii how about Marion Cotillard ? Isabelle Huppert? I also think French people are generally more conservative. The Bogdanovs aren't representative at all...
@@Shesvii I'm not talking about celebrities...General population in Europe prefer conservative cosmetic surgeries. Celebrities are more prone to suffer dysmorphia due to the industry unattainable standards. For example Royal public person will not choose a ' celebrity' kind of surgery.
I got that impression mainly because she has kept away from getting major procedures for a long time, keeping it very low-key and (in my eyes) unnoticeable, and now there she comes with an alleged bbl and visibly plumped lips, like so many have.
@@elisap8671 her butt was much bigger when she was younger, she has much smaller one now because of mostly cardio trainings she is focused on. So she deff didnt have a bbl
I love that you can see her brows still move when she makes facial expressions. She’s a great example of using surgery to enhance your natural beauty like she has.
Truly an impressive person.
she wears such minimal makeup for a performer
so pretttttyyyy
Lorry, you deserve all the respect bc you give lots of it in these videos. Thanks for helping us understand these illusions better. I would never want to hate myself for not having the money to change myself
Omg!!! Weirdly enough I’m so excited you are analyzing Shakira!!! She is one of my all time favs and while I believe is she absolutely beautiful, I was wondering what she recently had done to keep her looking amazing! Thank you for sharing ^_^
❤️👍🏻
5:32 Wow, that's wild, she doesn't even look like the same person to me in those pictures! And I always thought she looks super natural!
Sofi def had surgery
Her eyes eyebrows even mouth is completely different than b fore. BUT she didsay she always had a full bust
@@lisamanelli I never notice anything different on her. But I usually notice on other celebrities. If she had something done I think it was before she got famous because after comparing some photos she already had a nose with a tiny tip, brows look the same, she still have hooded eyes, lips maybe but it can also be makeup.
This is the best video in my opinion ☺️ Shakira seems to be an example of someone using plastic surgery for maintenance and minor tweaks here and there, instead of becoming almost a trend-caricature version of herself.
Thanks, Lorry! Cool and great content as always 😃👌🏿
Thank you beauty
I would have never recognized young, brunette Shakira. She’s gorgeous now, and she was gorgeous then, but omg she was so beautiful as a brunette! That picture at 3:01 is so stunning 😍
So so stunning
I like her hair curly too.
@@nate2759 me too! Something about curly, full hair plus a round face is so cute and youthful to me. I hate that buccal fat removal is a trend.
Gotta love Shakira- I think she’s doing an optimal amount and the results are great!
She literally looks in her 20’s forever now it was kinda getting sus
She is beautiful and youthful but doesn’t look like she’s in her 20’s
@@pri.sci.lla. Twenty year olds don't even look their age anymore.
@@pri.sci.lla. sometimes she does look în her 20 S.
@@pri.sci.lla. a lot of people confuse looking good for one's age with looking younger. Most (if not all) celebs posted on this channel look their age, they just take great care of themselves.
Some people look naturally young even if they're actually older though. I know people who look younger than their age, and they never had plastic surgery. Also, people can take care of themselves so they look youthful without plastic surgery.
Lorry, i saw the Ukrainian flag and it just warmed my heart. I'm a med student from Ukraine that had to return home amidst the war and this small gesture on your part just made my day. I miss Ukraine everyday. It's hard for people not in that situation to understand what the people of Ukraine are going through. Lots of love, from India.
So glad and I hope your family and you are safe ; I was born In Kyiv 🙏🏻❤️
I wish she would still have dark hair! Very beautiful woman.
I feel the same! I think her brown semi-straight hair ages her, especially since her natural hair is dark and curly and voluminous. To each their own though!
I think she looks better with light brown hair.
Damn even the most natural celebrity have so much plastic surgery. People always praise her for her natural looks but it’s so dangerous for the mental health of women and not realistic for the everyday women.
I am one of those everyday women and I am very happy with my looks. But the moment I will stop being happy with them (in 10 or 15 or 20 years time) I WILL get plastic surgery because what matters most is for ME to be happy with MY looks. Not for other people to be happy I DIDN"T get plastic surgery.
Both her kids were born via scheduled c-section, so I would definitely bet on two C-Tucks.
Love your videos and your kind approach to all your analysis!☺️
I was looking forward to a Shakira video! I always saw her as a "perfect beauty" and I'm glad she used plastic surgery as a way to maintain her looks rather than work against them, follow beauty trends and change them. Thanks so much for your work. Your videos are always excellent 🥰
Wow
You said that y'all be in the USA since the early 1500's?
Wow, that's a very long time.
Way before USA was United States of America.... remarkable!
Very interesting. Wow
@@nikovanegas2735 The USA have a very interesting history indeed!!
She got her plastic surgery tastefully done. She’s absolutely stunning and looks way younger than what she is. And the fact that you had such a hard time finding out what she had done means it’s done the way it was supposed to, enhancing her beauty without changing her looks completely.
Can you talk about Gwen Stefani please!? She has definitely changed her looks over the years.
She’s already done Gwen!
She looks SO DIFFERENT!
Guys, you need to listen to her Pies Descalzos album. Some of the most hauntingly beautiful ballads I've ever heard.
She still looks so natural despite the changes. She looks amazing in every way
You look literally stunning in blue!
Thank you 🙏🏻
I think it’s so rare to see celebrities staying looking like themselves which is a big part of why she’s perceived as so ageless.
I think her dye job is what changed her look the most. The contrast with her dark eye, tanned skin and blond hair just works for her.
Im glad she kept the life in her face. She still radiates light and joy.
Shakira still looks very youthful and gorgeous as always 💖 Shes definiteñy aging with grace
Staying skinny all her adult life helped her the most , I notice women with least fluctuation in weight always look the best , I have a gf , she is 40 and looks exactly like herself 10-15 years ago, she still gets carded everywhere and young boys hit on her thinking she is their age , girl did none of that bullsh stuff and never would risk her looks like that , instead she works out religiously and keeps the same weight all her life
I love the synopsis u give of each person u analyse they're always so nice lol
Would LOVE to see an analysis on the ever beautiful Sophia Vergera. She is another seemingly ageless Hollywood face - who does look pretty similar to her younger self
Edit: spelling
I think Shakira is in peace with her body and likes her body/face and simply can afford some enhancing surgeries to keep her features. Others like kardashians didnt keep their features thats the difference
Yes she seems happy with herself and just wants to preserve her look not completely transform
Fun fact: shakira is the most followed female on Facebook
Male: Cristiano Ronaldo
You look amazing Lorry! Your eyes are so enchanting.
Thank you lovely
I never realized how young she’s always looked💀
Have a wonderful day :)

I thought she was natural, but I love that she never changed much her features
I think so too. And some changes are due to aging. I think she’s using quite a lot of filler now which makes their face look a big unlike herself.
I agree!

I'm a huge fan of FKA Twigs, but there's some differences to her face that I just can't put my finger on! I would love an analysis of the changes to her face. Perhaps cheek implants?
she definitely has more cheek and upper lip volume
She definitely gets at least Botox (forehead especially, it’s completely smooth) and possibly filler around cheek area to add volume.
She looks like she had some kind of fillers. Her face looks puffier.

Oh my gosh she was so gorgeous and perfect when she was younger! Before the surgeries I mean but she still looks stunning! Her plastic surgeon/s did a very good job and never ever messed up or made a mistake!
Her body was amazing before she lost too much weight.

I love that you made this video about Shakira! Thank you!!!

She’s the most stunning shuttle work ever ! Love her
To me shakira doesn’t look the same…and she had a lipo in her early 20’s when she did the crossover as well but people refused to acknowledge that shakira is not natural at all…she looks good for her age but people like to put this singer in a pedestal…a lot of the Latin community does call her out though on her surgeries even from way back in her 20’s…
Yep ! All of this I found in my research !
