I race a 2.5inch build on 3S to race against 5inch in my local club lol. Proper racing quads just got waaaay too pricey. Surprisingly the micro has always kept up as most tracks here are small luckily.
Great video! Definitely has importance beyond racing. Great way to find extremely well tested products that can handle the abuse of racing. Tested and reliable parts are worth their weight in gold

Also good to know some of the recent gear I've been getting is what the racers are using (so must be good, right? 🤣). I'd love to use GHST Rx+Vtx combo but lucked out due to parts shortages for the specific combos I need. So ELRS+OpenVtx it is... wonder if that will make it into next year's poll? Then again, will probably jump on the HDZero bandwagon myself this year.
In theory when you fly with multiple people together it's better to have polarized antennas. As they reduce the interference from the pilots that are in the different polarization. Also polarized antennas help to filter out signal reflection from the walls.
