    Thank you Brian for introducing me to this particular series of stereo cards from France in the 1860s. The images are striking and surreal. This actually reminds me of the skeleton warriors in Jason And The Argonauts - animated by Ray Harryhausen.

    These are amazing! You really have to experience these stereo cards for yourself. There is an incredible amount of detail in these images. This book is filled with so many images, along with detailed descriptions you will spend many enjoyable hours lost in this fascinating world!

    Hmm, Stereoscope sounds like an interesting project for 3D printing. I wonder where the lenses could be sourced..
