Tysm!! A really helpful lesson The lions *tore* the zookeeper *apart* when he tried to feed them . The lions *mauled* the zookeeper when he tried to feed them. Can tear apart be replaced by maul here?
Thanks for watching. Actually the pronunciation of the noun and verb form is the same when they have the same meaning. Remember, 'tear' can mean like a rip or a break in something, like a tear in my shirt (pr: tair, rhymes with hair), or it can mean the tears that come out of your eyes when you cry (pr: teer, rhymes with beer). In both instances, the noun and verb form have the same pronunciation.
Have you ever heard of changing the name to Maple Leaf English (just a very slight change), so that people who are searching for English lessons can easily find your channel on RUclips?
Hi sir, I have a question relating to a grammar issue. First, Here is the sentence: Because he did many bad things, it follows that he is a bad guy. I know that the verb " follow" can be used as a transitive and intransitive verb, and I also know that the noun clause can be used as a ( subject, object, subject complement etc...) So, is " follow" used as an intransitive verb in the example above or not. Is " that he is a bad guy" the object of " follow"? Or not This example is written in an English dictionary considering " follow" in this case as intransitive verb.
Tear apart is more specific. If I physically tear something apart, then I have ripped it into two (or more) pieces. If I tear something, it might just mean I ripped a little piece off. For example, my pants got caught in the barbed wire and tore off a piece of my pocket. Hope this helps.
Something that can be teared off. For instance, a notebook with tearable paper means that you are able to tear the paper out of this notebook. Hope this helps.
Because CULTURE on Internet has small numbers. But in the future things will be different and this channel will be very famous. Great quality and easy to understand. Trust me, it will be famous.

Is " that he is a bad guy" the object of " follow"? Or not
This example is written in an English dictionary considering " follow" in this case as intransitive verb.
Yes, that would appear to be an intransitive verb to me. The object is not directly taken by the verb.
