  • *LIKE & SUBSCRIBE* Yoda's 1st and only time thus far, as it is tradition to bring our Huskies after their 1st vaccines to beaches that do not allow dogs at all (yes, risking tickets, but that is New York for you), reason being that Siberian Huskies grow very fast, so after this early period, they can be spotted much more easily and a much greater chance of getting caught, LOL.
I wish they had more places where dogs can enjoy the water, on leashes, at all sizes and ages.) I only know of one place ANYWHERE within 100 miles, I only recently learned about, but it's a hike, and I mean driving and walking through the woods and then to the beach, and it's very rocky. Best for older dogs NOT pups. No with the woods until tick treated.)
I do recommend early socialization with ONLY fully known vaccinated dogs with your pup, but the 1st 4 months are where you have gotta be careful. (About 16 weeks most especially). That Is when they have their basic puppy shots all completed. I feel safe at that point, while others may wait longer or less, but after the 1st round of shots AT LEAST to do anything, but not where you know other dogs freely roam, like heck no to dog parks or places where even dog feces is present, which is a lot of outdoor places.. even side walks in front of your home.
We go here a lot. (At least 30-40x's a season for the past 15 years) I have only seen one dog ever there and it was to the front, not in the hills nor the water where we went. It's a pristine place, and we didn't get caught because of his size. If he was a small breed, we'd wait. I love to see Husky reactions to the sand and the waves! TOO cute! They grow up FAR too fast!!!
Watch part 1if you haven't already!!
    XOXO
    Shelly
