I was feeling abit down in the dumps. Then i thought my old friend Soi must have another epic to look at, and guess what I'm on top of the world now having seen this video . When i see films like these i want to go back in a time machine and watch the action. Another BRILLIANT video Soi exquisite. Loved 47 413 absolutely fabulous. THANK YOU 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👍♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🚅🚄
Thank you for you kind comments..... I look back when sorting out vids to upload and am myself amazed at how much has gone..... Still, happily i have lots of historic ones to upload along with more up-to-date ones i film now......
Such a great era i love watching these videos takes me back to when we ha great and wonderful trains much better than today's trains most of them are absolutely RUBBISH
Nice! Interesting to see that some Thameslink trains passed straight through I thought St.Albans was always a majour stop for Thameslink. Good to see plenty of Valenta action as well. Also those 31s were ruthless to the environment haha!
Some peak hour Thameslink's were first stop Luton. And the 31s were on borrow time with the Parcels sector, when Speedlink finished there were enough spare 47s to replace them....
Nice clag form the 31.... I used to work in the Ziggurat building that you can see in the video, hardly ever got any work done as I was often watching trains out of the window :)
It is a good example of how much has changed on our railways in the past 25-35 years *CHANGES THAT HAVE NOT ALWAYS BEEN WELCOMED BY ENTHUSIASTS* but the "old order" can't last forever 🙄☹
It’s sadly true I want to try and fix it so we can be a excellent again railway no more under payed staff no more bad trains make the railways great again
Brilliant video mate. Keep up the good work!! And just to think some of those HSTS are still running on the mainline albeit charter services owned by locomotive Services Limited Crewe 43044,055,058
And at the end of their time with the Parcels sector, i'm sure the Speedlink Network closing down allowed some ETH fitted 47s to shuffle around and replace them.

Those were the days, what a brilliant video, takes me right back
Thank you......
Synchronised 319's 😊😊
Love it - early 90’s were definitely the best for loco footage. Great vid
I doubt it was the best but there was still certainly a lot of classic BR traction still around.....
31410 doing one foot to the gallon!
Quite possibly! But it still had some poke even if a bit smokey!

Thrashing Brians, love it! 31410 was a staple of the Norwich to B'ham New Street 4 coacher along with 31411 when I was a spotter at Nuneaton.
Another classic, Soi. Thank you for posting this.
Absolutely brilliant compilation 👍
01:38 31410 impersonating a kettle as it went under the bridge
Really enjoyed that one. You have some real gems on your channel.
Thank you..... and there is still a lot more to come......
Lots of XPT action in this one 😉💪.
Great selection.
I'm glad you approve....lol
Great video. Some excellent traction. Including duffs. Thanks for sharing
My pleasure..... There was quite a bit of variety there back then......
👍👍👍 Excellent video once again.
Thank you.... St Albans was always good for some action on a weekday evening back then.....
Excellent variety of trains! Thanks! 😊 👍
Potters Bar is on the Kings Cross line and St Albans is on the St Pancras line.
Nice clag form the 31.... I used to work in the Ziggurat building that you can see in the video, hardly ever got any work done as I was often watching trains out of the window :)
Lol..... not so much variety to look at now sadly......
@@SoiBuakhaoRoutemasterbus So true
Going to at Albans in 2 weeks to pick up a rail tour great vidio

Yes unfortunately much for variety back then same with aviation

Thank you.... It was certainly a more varied time back then, a lot more types of trains running then.....
@@SoiBuakhaoRoutemasterbus your welcome
The parcels train was headed by 47468, which in 1992 became 47300.
Ah, so that was the one. I wonder why it was done, problems with the ETH perhaps?......
Bloody brilliant 👍👍
excellent footage!
2:05 and 2:39 Was that ecs movements I thought all Thameslink services stopped at St Albans.
In the peaks some of the Bedford services were first stop Luton.
@@SoiBuakhaoRoutemasterbus When did that change may I ask?
@@MrGriser I can't remember now, railway timetables change twice a year and passenger numbers/flows dictate stopping patterns.......
god i miss the 319s
I've been on a 769 earlier this year, certainly different running on diesel! It will be an upload soon....
31/4 on the parcels a 90 mph beast I’m sure
And at the end of their time with the Parcels sector, i'm sure the Speedlink Network closing down allowed some ETH fitted 47s to shuffle around and replace them.
Miss the NSE days. The infrastructure was cared for then too.
True
0:00 what happened to the VHS(?)
That's just a ripple in the tape, one of the risks of using tape. But it was still a whole lot better than silent 8mm cine film......
Good video, do you have videos of Bedford in the 90s
Yes, i do. Here's one already uploaded ruclips.net/video/nAdtafBjw5w/видео.html
All the HSTs look really dirty from the smoke, is that one of the reasons they changed the engines?
Partly, and the fact they had been well thrashed and parts were getting harder to get......
Train drivers seem to have a high sex drive - always got the horn
