▸ The establishment of the town known as Rewal dates back to the second half of the 14th century, when a robber inn was built on the route connecting Gdańsk, Kołobrzeg and Kamień Pomorski. The inn called Riuale was situated near the current fishing base. Today there is no trace of it, it was dismantled when the sea began to threaten it. Soon a small fishing settlement was established around the inn, divided by the Rigose stream, connecting the sea with a marshy lake between Trzęsacz and Śliwin.
The village was divided into two parts: the western part, within the lands belonging to Śliwin, was subject to the Kamień chapter, and the eastern part belonged to the von Flemming estates in Trzęsackie.
The divided town was connected on April 1, 1905. The inhabitants of the former Rewal dealt mainly with fishing, the land was the only one that was cultivated by the local innkeeper.
Unusual natural conditions meant that in 1827 Rewal gained the status of a swimming pool, operating at that time mainly as a tourist destination, receiving mainly tourists from Berlin and the surrounding area. Despite the growing interest of tourists in recreation in Rewal, it was not until the second half of the 1890s that accommodation facilities began to appear. Before the outbreak of World War I, there were already over 2,200 summer residents in Rewal. Due to the rapid development of the village, other institutions, such as a school in 1894, and a spa park six years later, began to be established there. After World War II, the town flourished again as a summer resort.
Rewal is the capital of one of the most beautiful sections of the Polish coast. The town is known for many interesting facilities, such as the observation deck located in its center at the main descent to the beach, a promenade leading to another viewing platform, and numerous monuments and objects that testify to the fishing tradition. Since 1973, this town has been the seat of the local government.

Rewal to nie Łeba ale też żadne pierdziszewo plus ma taki , że wszędzie blisko,a jest gdzie śmignąć od Kołobrzegu do Świnoujścia,do Niemiec nie warto jechać,drogo i nieładnie ogólnie kiszka.
