I don’t agree this is because we are still modest if we wear a hijab covering our hair and wearing modest clothes. We don’t need to cover out full face and we should have a choice. It’s not what men think are right we should have choices because either way is still modest.

Men are also required to cover up certain areas, from the top of the chest to a little bellow the knees. While woman are told to cover up more, because woman can control themselves better than men. My Nigerian wife and I lived is KSA for well over 10 years where we raised our daughters. My wife decided to conform to the culture and after trying various abaya, hijab and niqab, settled on a full black burqa with the mesh niqab, she covered up her arms and wore gloves, so literally nothing showed whatsoever. She never appeared in public uncovered. She said being fully covered was incredibly liberating in that you are free from the strictures of societal norms that demand women show a lot of skin and wear suggestive clothing. Now that we are back in Florida they all wear hijab and abaya. On occasion they will all wear full burqas to see what reaction they get. Muslim fashion is wonderful.
There are plenty of moms who dress modestly in America -- even in sweltering Florida. The choice is not binary between wearing a bikini or a blanket. Class lies somewhere in the middle.
