Something that people seem to miss, was that the threat of the Rus was present from the first episode. Ragnar said they kept attacking East, when they should focus on the West. During his reign, he completely abandoned the East, allowing them to get stronger and bigger, and Björn had to deal with them later on when they attacked Scandinavia.

Yea.. such a shame they went so far away from History in the last episodes..
I mean it was Hollywood from the beginning and mixed together but the last seasons was close to pure fiction..
Shame. the real Scandinavian history is more than epic enough to be told as it was rather than making up stuff..
People are confused enough about the vikings and what they did because of Hollywood.

People do not take the time to learn, they just follow the the voice of others.
So with fiction, or lies and or both. people just act up like well that is the truth.
So when a tv shows use real things, and turn it into something fantasy, all the masses of people gets confused and just buy it as being truth.
And because they are also human, when you then encounter them and try to tell them fact from fiction they take the fact as being the lie and keep believing the fiction.

Having some no-name Saxon randomly teleport through Ivar's personal guard and prison shank him was idiotic. I'm not saying Alfred should've landed the killing blow, but it could've gone much better. Also Alfred kept getting his ass kicked all throughout those final minutes, I didn't really believe in his sudden win (not to mention even the Vikings stopped fighting and they all just went away peacefully just because Ivar died).
While I liked Floki and Ubbe's final scene, I think the true scene should've been some flashforward. Maybe Ubbe dying and meeting his brothers, Ragnar, and Lagertha in Valhalla before closing the show.
The final season was much improved from the past couple seasons, but it still suffered quite a bit. At least it wasn't as bad as Game of Thrones.

And then when Ivar & Ubbe started parting ways in my opinion was a bit sad but it resulted in some great clever war battles and I think Ivar had every right to want to murder Lagertha for killing the only woman that ever truly loved him.

@@Raven-cf5qd That's the thing each episode is like you're just waiting for a battle to happen nothing else.....So predictable and repetitive.....Brother vs brother, Bjorn vs Ivar, Bjorn vs Ivar, Bjorn vs Ivar until they die meaningless.......Most people who started this show before S6 know the feeling....Not everybody's looking for just some "epic scenes"......Whole 5b was boring until the last battle......S6 the same until there's a battle.....With Ragnar, Ecbert, Athelstan there dialogues and conversation were actually interesting and the things they talked about. Ivar was intense but the Character who kept reminding me this was a Viking show was Harald or else i would've completely forgot. I really don't want to argue but this show is not re-watchable for me; atleast for 5b onwards just couple epic scenes; nothing more.

@@alexreid2365 where else could've they of went tho? Yes they could've just have the sons continue fighting new countries but then that makes some of their characters boring.
And yes they could've ended it after they avenged Ragnar.but once again that would leave tons of undiscovered story. Turning Ivar into a evil feared ragnarsson against Ragnar's toughest son was a perfect and very interesting fued that I'm glad I got to see.
Yes there were a lot of battles but that was to show what makes Ivar a threat to Bjorn and that was simply that Ivar was smarter than bjorn.
The only stupid part in my opinion was the fact that the reason the feud started was because lagertha decided to kill Aslaug after like 20 years 😂 over jealousy.
But non the less ivar became my favourite character.
And PS I started watching vikings in 2017 not when s6 came out
