Hi, @Garage build, I swap a jz on my Z... I know the cooling issues in this swaps, so I do the rear radiator swap in an20 hose. I don't cut the rear floor panel, just use 69' Mustang rad in stock catback room, dual fans & the expantion tank that you use... in adition I use the stock water pump and a secundary electric Meziere water pump in rear, runs good with absolutely no overheat issues.
Sweet build..but the reason its running hot is because the fans has to be on the engine side..the car needs the wind from driving, while cooling off both ends, inside. 🤣 you remind me of myself with my ss trailblazer build😅. I hope I can get my g35 like this..
Run 25% anitfreeze to 75% water. Look up the ratio chart. Water cools way better than antifreeze. Maybe get intake from turbo inlet to front bumper may also help a little with temps. And wrapping the down pipe etc sounds smart. Anyway to get the upper radiator hose straightened out?
Thank you for the tips. I will check out that chart. Yes I will for sure fix the hose I need to move radiator fwd about one inch or so that way I can make nice straight line.
@@StreetFabPerformance also the best radiator flush you can do is add Cascade dish soap to coolant run it for 30 minutes then flush with water it will clean all your coolant ports. Cheap easy maintanence. Learned it in college for diesel technology/mechanics.
Mishimoto fans suck and I threw them in the trash. I have 2 14'' Spal 1800CFM fans in my built 2jz Z. They were coming too early and temp never got above 65C. Now wired them like OEM 1 fan with AC and at 87 and second fan at 93C. I had to fabricate a custom Radiator support for the extra space.
How much did your swap cost? Which Collins kit you get or needed? Just the mounts. Trans mount. Adapter and flywheel kit? Planning to do this for my 2003 350z as well. Just wanna get a general idea of it all and pricing. Thanks !
I got the one with everything in it. All mounts, flywheel, clutch, shifter. It was like 2200 buck for the kit. The swap price all depends on you. ran about 15 to 17.

That sounds cool. Maybe i do something like that in the future. I just installed bigger fans and it worked out.
Look at the RJM clutch pedal!! They are much smoother than the stock 350z clutch pedal

Factory. I had 2 flanges CNC cut. One for the intake manifold side and one for the throttle body side. Attached with cast aluminum 90 deg elbow
