I feel like he's already hit 6.40 tbh, it's just the bar wasn't set there.

He should take his time. Wait for a challenge. He’s just 24.

I'm glad he's aiming to break the Olympic Record. It was astonishing that he didn't try it in Tokyo. The OR is just 6.03!!! Mondo can probably do that in his sleep, backwards and left-handed.
    1) Win the gold
    2) Break the Olympic record with something "easy" like 6.10, just like he did at the European Champs in Rome
    3) Then, go for the 6.25 WR

Pretty sure he'll try to break the OR this time. He seems much more confident now that he's amassed so many 6s.

Wow Mondo did *EXACTLY* what I wrote down a week ago LOL 🤣🤣🤣
The new Olympic record at 6.25 might be unbeatable by anyone other than Duplantis himself for... who knows, a half century?

@@martintheron1386everyone else in the Olympics trains for 20 years too and they don't get there... It's not just training. Kobe trained more shots than Steph Curry, but Steph is a better shooter. It's intelligence, perception, composure, temperament and talent that all play a role.

6.40 at most. But we will never know until he tries :)
