  • I got a laser engraver! In this video we are going to find out if the Xtool P2 is as good as everyone says! Hint it might make laser engraving too easy…
    Overall I am very impressed with the XTool P2 laser engraver. In this video I have found out that it is as good as everyone has said and makes lasering really easy. In the future the XTool P2 is going to be a permanent part of my RUclips studio and a tool I can use to help create new projects as well as add another dynamic to others.

    Everyone talks about using Lightburn with it and I'm really glad that you mentioned the default software and how easy it is.

      So far I like it and it does what I have needed it to do.

    I wish you had let us hear it running. When mine arrived I was not prepared for how loud it was...thought something was wrong with it. By the way I am a retired Industrial Arts (shop teacher) now retired for 23 years. I would have loved to have the tools available to you today. Thanks for a fine video.

    Good review. I too have taught laser engraving for a university. I like this specific machine. It looks easy to use. Have you aligned the mirrors yet? Hopefully that is fairly easy. I really enjoy using lasers. I would like this for the ;ass thru feature. Have you done anything using it? Thanks.

    Thanks for the very informative video. Can you let me know, did you need external ventilation connected to the cutter to take a way fumes and is the CO2 laser tube water cooled?

    • @ThatTechTeacher427
      @ThatTechTeacher427  6 месяцев назад +1

      The laser tube is water cooled, and there is a built in exhaust fan. I am going to add a more permanent inline fan to help exhaust the fumes further when I take them out of the house

    Good morning . I would like to know if you use Windows 11 to work with p2; For my part when I use Windows 11, the machine stops when I burn with the default electrical connection air pump. I tested with an old Windows 10 computer, which is very slow, the machine works very well without problems. Maybe you could help me. THANKS. Happy Holidays

    My inner CIM teacher sees those backlit acrylic projects 😂 looks like an awesome laser, we use Epilog at work and although they are incredible…they are not cheap. I use mine daily with my students as well, so I have a high bar set for lasers.

      Also, when rastering acrylic, I tend to do “bottom first”, it cuts down on the amount of off gassing/fumes ruining the top edge of the text/images from being vacuumed over the material.

    The machine fits on the 24" depth table with no overhang? I've been searching everywhere for a 26" depth bench since the website has it at 25" deep

    Does this machine actually fit on this table? Website shows the machine at a depth of 25 1/2 inches the table lists at 24 inches. Please I need and answer?

    can anyone answer my question, is a diode laser better for precision engraving or can I get the xtool P2 and be just as well off? I was thinking of getting a c02 desktop laser and would like it to have great engraving quality. I understand a fiber would be the best for what I want but its working area is smaller and only works on metals and such and has a smaller working area.

      I just ordered the p2 c02 and the F1 which engraves 10x faster and portable ir and diode
      After a lot of research, that’s the best I could do to get everything I wanted

    Considering the affiliate links and the free laser engraver machine they sent you...realize that most of the youtube reviews are in the same boat as you. That being Xtool bothered them until they agreed to do a review on youtube. Could you be honest about the common problems that most paying customers have addressed about the proprietary motherboard failing after a few months, mirror alignment, tube failure, and above all...xtool's customer service?

      I appreciate the honesty and I hope I dont have similar problems. As of right now I really like the way this machine works.
