I remember being eight years old when the movie came out and I wouldn’t stop begging my parents to let me see it. Eventually they cracked and we saw it at the drive-in.
@@Timetogrind01 Also the actor who played captain spaulding in the rob zombie film(devil's rejects) scared a young kid actor when filming a scene...sid haig then offered ice cream for the young kid to show that he's a real softie

I'd love to see you do a video focusing on Jason Voorhees from Friday The 13th, his many injuries, and how he can possibly survive the worst of them to continue killing in future movies. I have a few theories of my own in regards to this. 1) Tricho-dento-osseous syndrome, or TDO is a genetic mutation which causes bones to become more dense and virtually unbreakable. People with this condition tend to be less buoyant and have difficulty swimming, due to their tendency to sink in water. It also causes abnormal bone growth, typically near the joints, but can be on the skull. Abnormal bone growth on the skull could superficially resemble someone with hydrocephalus. This condition helps explain Jason's survival of being hanged and the axe to his skull in Part 3. 2) Myostatin-related muscle hypertrophy is a genetic mutation which causes abnormal muscle growth and development of superhuman strength. People who have MRMH typically have two to three times the strength of a normal athletic person. This would explain Jason's ability to kill a man by crushing his skull with his bare hands. It also helps to explain how he survived being hanged in Part 3, as extremely muscular necks have been known to prevent necks from being broken. 3) High pain threshold syndrome is a less severe version of Chronic Insensitivity To Pain. A person who has this condition is able to withstand far more physical pain than is typical for a person. This might also help explain how Jason is able to push past or simply ignore injuries that others would find crippling. Of course, each of these conditions is exceedingly rare. Some of them have only about 1000 subjects in the entire world. Being born with two out of the three? The odds of that are astronomical. Not impossible, but highly unlikely. The odds of having all three? There are carnival games that give better odds of winning. The likelihood is as low as you can get without being absolutely zero. But in Hollywood fiction? Anything that's at least theoretically plausible is absolutely possible. And then you have the many injuries that Jason inflicts upon his victims.
A few of my favorite horror movies are Little Shop of Horrors, Poltergeist (1982), Halloween (2018), Hocus Pocus-Not too scary, The Shining, and that’s it.
3:19 It's a funny moment. In the footage in which penwise approaches the main characters with a pierced pin, he really does not see his victims, he only hears them. If he had seen them, he would have run at them long ago and finished them off.
Love that you started this video with Freddy vs Jason. One of the best crossovers in history. By the way, do you plan on checking out injuries from the TV show Supernatural?
Great video Doc! I would say that my favorite horror movie would either be the original IT featuring Tim Curry or the Hellraiser franchise, albeit, i used to like A Nightmare on Elm Street the most when i was a teenager since Robert Englund did a fantastic job in the original movie and the scene where he comes out of the mirror made me jump when i was in construction class when i was in highschool, so it was definitely hilarious to the teacher and the other students when they saw me jump out of my seat during break time.
Yeah, to watch a horror movie, I wouldn't need a chill pill, I'd need a whole bloody sedation (and subsequent stay in a psychiatric ward). Also, awesome video as always, Dr Wagner!
"It", I thought, was only okay. It did make me jump a little bit at one point or two, but I've seen movies that are scarier. While it's hard to say what my absolute favorite horror movie is (or at least the one that disturbed me more than "It"), good contenders include "Carrie" (1976) and "The Shining" (1980).
There's a certain kill on In a Violent Nature that I'm not sure would be possible. It's with the yoga chick. I won't tell you what it is on case you haven't seen it 😂 it's brutal though 😊
the thing with myers walking out of the fire...hes been fatally injured so many times he n jason are alike only difference is jason uses machetes and any other weapon he can find if possible while myers stalks his prey with a knife and chases them as a silent stalker and like jason can survive anything including fire..
I'd like to see one about Scream 6 and 7 injuries and finally settle the debate of how they can get stabbed so many times and still survive. Dude gets stabbed in the chest by two Ghostfaces like 20 times and just shows up at the end on a stretcher with his upper body bandaged up acting all hunkydory like nothing happened. As a matter of fact there are tons of movies like that, where there's no way they could've survive but do. It doesn't necessarily need to be horror themed either like the bad guy in the last Indiana Jones movie (I think you had a video with that scene already) returning after getting his head basically knocked off and falls of a moving train high up on a bridge. You could probably do a three part series there's so many.
According to the Halloween II novelization written during production of the movie, despite the actual model of gun that the prop replicates being a .357, it was a .38, so totally survivable. Even being a .357 revolver, they would sometimes be loaded with .38 Specials.
There is an SCP animation I think you'd be very interested in. SCP-420, aka: Aggressive Skin Condition. It is a bit long, but has quite a few interesting things that happen, from drunkness to skin changing very horrifically. It is SCP after all, there is bound to be something abnormal, yet I'm sure you'd be happy to tell us about what could be happening/what to do if something happens.
Favorite horror film.... Em mostly I ahve watcehd alien movies, ofc fnaf and the midnight man which I believe you should react to some sceans from the midnight man.... Gets terrifying
Doc do you remember when you reacted to the executions from friday the 13th the game a while ago? Well there are a lot more of them but also you could try reacting to the executions from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre the game. They're so brutal I, we'd love to see what you have to say about them!
I want a medical analysis of the RAMBO action movie saga! Make 5 videos, one good video per movie, hopefully long and with lots of detail. There are many injuries in war.
With the car one, how dramatically does the impact itself change the damage done and whatnot. What I mean is the person didn't really hit clean they more like skidded and bounced in a way that it looks like it would hurt less than if they were thrown for feel straight down onto the car and just dented in instead of rolling off.
Doc, I got 2 questions that really breaks down. My grandpa was war hero of WW2. During chaotic battle he fought back made a lot of confirmation kills even got medal for that. How was he able to fight back in melee combat during he got shot 7 bullets and never felt pain and was keep fighting back almost half day. After battle, after he acknowledged that he got shot he felt pain. And second question, does PTSD could cause brain damage and also causes physical pain? 2nd question is related to me.
My top 3 horror movies are the collector, Halloween and Saw Honorable mentions: Alien Open 24 Hours The Ring The Thing The Strangers The Cabin in the Woods
I know this doesn't go with the video (or, well, maybe a little) but I like how in english they say **mashéri** to the machete- (in spanish it is more like "matchetay" ) Jsjjs Idk, it's just funny Love your videos! :]
