- Sevanavank is an Armenian monastery dating back to the 9th century, located at an altitude of 2000 meters on a peninsula of Lake Sevan.
Originally built on an island, it became a peninsula after the water level of the lake dropped in the mid-20th century.
The complex consists of two main churches made of volcanic stone.
Historically, Sevanavank was an important religious and cultural center.
