I'm a second year biomed student applying to medicine this year. This videos been really insightful. I've always wanted to get into medicine but recently was unsure whether or not I want to pursue it. This video is helpful to see what my options are.

Thank you so much for this video, I'm still doing my GCSEs but I already feel like I've put all of my eggs into the medicine basket cause it's been my dream to become a doctor for so long, but I've gotta admit that the current state of the NHS has been quite disheartening and while I do wanna be a doctor, living in a comfortable financial state is also one of my top priorities so I've been questioning this choice quite a bit recently. But this video was unbelievable helpful in highlighting the various different options that exist beyond just working for the NHS and you voiced a bunch of my fears about this so thanks!

I think a lot of speciality training programmes have moved to offering doctors the opportunity to work less than full-time without giving a reason. You mentioned that you were taking this up for your own speciality training. I was wondering did you put this down on your application to begin with or did you let the training programme know once you had already gotten an offer? Really informative video!

Yup it’s a great thing I think! In my understanding, you do it at the beginning of your application but I haven’t quite reached that stage yet

Only disadvantage is that it prolongs your duration of training...

hello Doctor, I will be applying for undergrad medicine in UK as an international NON-EU student, I do have a query like after graduating medschool do can I automatically apply for foundation year course, or go through a different process? And also how much I have to PAY for foundation year courses?

If you go to med school in the U.K. then it’s the same application process as U.K. home students. The fee depends on the uni, have a look at the uni websites
