love the video bec going on this ship for my first alaska cruise this august!! really excited and really appreciate your time to film and post video! thanks!!!
Thanks for the tour. Yes, I sailed on it a week after you sailed to Alaska. So, watching this was a treat. I really enjoyed the ship and its size. I would definitely sail on it again. We enjoyed the card room. We enjoyed the view of the glacier and inside passage while enjoying breakfast on our balcony.
We loved sailing Celebrity Solstice on the President's Cruise this June (2023). It was our first visit to Alaska and the cruise was amazing! We had (as always on Celebrity) an outstanding crew, excellent food and wonderful excursions. Great tour of the ship--just as beautiful in person as you showed us in the video. We so enjoyed our balcony cabin on Deck 8.
I just wanted to say thank you. Your one of the few that does point out the smoking sections and i really appreciate it. I love watching your videos, you guys are awesome.
Thanks for the tour. I'd like to point out the huge differences between this and the Edge class. One, the Sky Lounge. It's a more open and bigger space for some of the activities done in The Club but most important, it offers inside forward views for colder-climate cruising. The Edge deleted this space. The library and card room are cleverly positioned on what are usually stateroom only decks and are options for people who like to use them. Le Petit Chef restaurant is toward the back of the ship where two other specialty restaurants are and aren't subject to the sounds of any activities in the Grand Foyer. The Martini Bar is done in Celebrity's signature "retro modern" style and has little sections for people to hang out in with a view of the sea. It's way, way different than what's on the Edge class and more intimate feeling. Cellar Masters will turn into Craft Social when the ship is revolutionized but I prefer Cellar Masters. The Ensemble lounge has music and is an intimate feeling lounge and also swanky. There is no equivalent of it on Edge. Of course, Solstice can't match the Edge class theater and there is no substitute for Eden. There are 4 MDR on Edge and 1 double deck one on Solstice. Solstice looks close to original here and the color palette has strong and vibrant colors and darker stained woods opposed to the lighter and paler colors on the Edge ships. Solstice is retro-modern in many areas where Edge could be called "contemporary" or "trendy" depending on your perspective. I think Edge is for people who primarily want food and show room entertainment where Solstice is for people who spend a good time in music lounges, lounges and smaller quieter spaces. A bar is a place with a physical bar and some seats around it. A lounge may contain a bar but have several areas of seating along with a place for musicians and may include a dance floor. So, for dancers, and for some people who just like that ambiance/atmosphere, a lounge is a mood and place to enjoy it that is best not part of a foyer or multi-tiered setting, something that is the style of the Edge ship vs. the Solstice ships. For me, it's not that the Solstice ships are older or newer. I think it's more the Solstice ships have more intimacy, feel more romantic, and do social spaces differently as well as provide more opportunity for views in cold weather climate where the Edge has more restaurants, but not that many more, more deck space options, more tech/screens, Eden and more emphasize on a more lively overlook experience for social spaces. The Edge also prioritizes suite passengers more so it takes away the front spaces for viewing that the Solstice type of ships offer. finally, this isn't an "older, younger" argument as some may one to think of it. It's a tastes argument. More young people are likely to want such and such but there are enough young people that would just prefer what Celebrity's always has. For me, this is an expansion argument as the young people won't stay young and Celebrity, Princess and HAL are the cruise lines to go to for when they want the quieter experience. So, IMO, Celebrity needs ships like the Solstice. The way cruising is today, these ships will be sold off to another line in 7-10 years so I hope Celebrity builds another Solstice-like line, or something that at least has some of their features, after the Edge cruise class.
Hey guys, loved the video! Could you please tell me which month you were on the cruise? I'd like to cruise to Alaska but would like to see more snow on the mountains. Thanks so much!
Great ship, we’ve done two cruises on Solstice, Alaska and New Zealand-Australia. Even though I’ve spent a lot of time on board you’ve shown me several areas that I missed! Love your stuff JJ !
I have just returned from this ship I was on a cruise to the far East .The only thing I found this ship was a older ship .And the cabins looked tired . The staff were brilliant. it's a big ship but I found the entertainment a bit dull at times and some evenings were boring .This ship was well equipped for the disabled or if you have a disability. easy to move around . I loved the glass lifts inside the Ship .And food on different decks levels and drinks was good .
Hi guys, great walk-through! I just got off the reflection and I thought it was a very nice ship. I understand the other solstice class ships received some upgrades that reflection has not. Can you confirm this and what they are?
Hi guys! Thank you for the ship tour. I have just booked a cruise to Asia on Celebrity Solstice. Can you please answer a question I have? How much is basic internet per day? Thank you 🙏
That will go through Celebrity’s Weddings Department. Try searching on the Celebrity Website as we know they have specific people who specialize in this.
Great tour Jordan. You did a great job of covering all the bases. 👍 We loved sailing on the Solstice on our Mexican Riviera cruise this past February. We can’t wait to get back on her in just over two weeks time when we cruise to the Hawaiian islands. Keep up the great reviews. 🥳
I love the Solstice class! We have been on Reflection and Solstice actually looks much brighter and newer than Reflection. Maybe due to refurbishments... i would love to cruise on her!
Interesting as Solstice is the original and oldest of the Solstice class and Reflection is the youngest. Reflection removes some public areas for suites. Reflection is bigger than the other Solstice sisters.
Beautiful tour and great voice narration and filming!! We found the food and wear of the ship disappointing. Room service was horrendous; ran out of coffee pots and served Togo cups of cold coffee and always late!! The cabin was horrible- ceiling creaking despite them trying to screw it up to hold the sag, maintenance said he does this all day for several cabins. Shower trim all hanging, while water seeped through. Also, closet trim falling off and exposed nails. Service was great and cabin Stewart was top notch. We were in Blu and had to request another server, which made things better, because the other one was slow and forgot about us as well as many repeated requests. The food was subpar, as well. Best part were our excursions ( we were on the Mexican Riviera, in March) made through Celebrity, and our cabin Stewart named Christmas!
I did a back-2-back cruise in April. I did not know that there was an Aqua Spa Cafe. I really like Solstice because it was quiet and small. Thanks for your tour!
This was a beautiful tour. I really enjoyed it! Your were very clear and thorough. Thanks so much 🌹
Thanks Lorna for watching and the kind feedback! 🥳
Your videos are definitely improving and I enjoy them more than I used to, Well done.

Great tour of the solstice my wife’s special birthday in December can’t wait, thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Great overview of the ship! Thank you. We will be on the ship the first week of July. This was a perfect orientation for us to get to know the layout.
Hey guys, loved the video! Could you please tell me which month you were on the cruise? I'd like to cruise to Alaska but would like to see more snow on the mountains. Thanks so much!
We sail Sept 1, 2024 for Alaska on the Solstice! Thanks so much for this! Excellent!!

Enjoy! Equinox is a wonderful ship too! 🥳
Will be on Equinox Sunday! Yes, the two ships are almost identical. This is a great tour, thanks Jordan.
This video brought me back to our 3 back-to-back cruises last year. Such great memories! This is the ship we met you both on! Great job with the tour!
Great ship, we’ve done two cruises on Solstice, Alaska and New Zealand-Australia. Even though I’ve spent a lot of time on board you’ve shown me several areas that I missed!

Hi guys! Thank you for the ship tour. I have just booked a cruise to Asia on Celebrity Solstice. Can you please answer a question I have? How much is basic internet per day? Thank you 🙏

The Solstice looks similar to the Equinox...brought back wonderful memories, made me miss it🥺 Great ship tour as always, thanks for sharing💜
Thanks Crystal for watching! Yes, she’s super similar to our special Celebrity Equinox ship. ☺️
Nice tour Jordan.
Thanks Debbie!
The views at the beginning are amazing.
Alaska is beautiful!
Very excited for our Hawaii cruise on this ship in April 2025!
Any information about how to renew your vows on the ship?
That will go through Celebrity’s Weddings Department. Try searching on the Celebrity Website as we know they have specific people who specialize in this.
You always do a thorough tour. love it.
Thanks for the positive feedback! ☺️

She did feel extra bright to us too! Good catch comparing the two!

Yes I am sailing on her on her in April next year my first time she looks beautiful

I thought they might have made changes under the last refurb, but it looks like they didn’t.
Beautiful ship!
❤ great video- 👍

Why are the chairs facing that way?
10.19 pm Australia. Best review I have seen & I have watched quite a few. 😊
That means a lot thanks for watching!! 🥳
What about the cabins
We stayed in a Celebrity Suite which was very nice with classic finishings. ☺️
I was on the Solstice in 2019 and loved it.
Who was that handsome gentleman sitting there on deck 5 mid ship as you strolled by
Some people are ridiculous and way too entitled! Too many Spanish speaking people on a cruise from Spain? Really?
