  • Working a half double crochet stitch in the back loop creates a nice clean-lined and easy edge. I recently used it on the Garden Fence Crochet Blanket and loved the results.

Who loves the summer months? I’m raising my hands. It’s my favorite season. I go through so much sunscreen because I just can’t keep away from those beautiful sun rays. But blankets aren’t often a crochet item thought about during the summer months. However, the Garden Fence Free Crochet Blanket uses the perfect yarn for a summer evening or baby blanket.

Hello Briana, love the boarder tip thank you.
Question? How did you make the very first row look so perfect around the raw edges?

I will slip stitch around the permitter of the blanket and then the next row I work into the back loops only of that slip stitch.
