In my opinion i think it wouldve played out like this since zenitsu wouldnt have gone to the entertainment art district if it wasnt for Tanjiro stopping Tengen, same as for spider mountain however he wouldnt go since nezuko is'nt there and is long dead, which means most likely rui would've still been alive which inreturn means the lower moons still exist and the mugen train incident would be much easier since muzan never gives enmu more blood And rengoku would've never died since the train wouldve ended much sooner because of a weaker enmu getting defeated the train doesn't stop where akaza is currently at and gets stopped way sooner
Also tengen and his wives and all the nurses we see in the story who tengen did bring wouldve died since thats who tengen was originally going to bring not knowing of the upper moon threat,
the Swordsmith village would be left unprotected and destroyed however muichiro wouldve still be flung from the building and fight gyoko and win but unfortunately die to the amount of destruction hantengu would cause (Genya wouldve also died since he and muichiro was there to get new swords While mitsuri would be perfectly ok since she was originally sent to watch tanjiro)
Hashira training arc would also never happen since muichiro was never able to tell the hashira how to unlock there mark
the difference in the main cast so far is, No kanao (Possibility she did go with tengen), Inosuke, Muichiro, all medical support is gone, No tamayo (she dies too the 2 demons that attacked them in the main story), No tanjiro, No giyu, No nezuko, A living rengoku
However the infinity castle and muzan's confrontation of the demon slayer Hq would never happen since nezuko is dead meaning muzan would have no reason to attack meaning the war between humans and demons would still continue

In the possibility the infinity castle arc still does manage to happen somehow Most likely this would be the match ups (This is also using ubuyashiki family's foresight since it wouldnt make since to not make it count when it played such a big part in the main story, so this is using the best match up for the remaining slayers, Also since theres less slayers and more demons most likely its going to have to be a bit of a gauntlet for the slayers, Also remember none of them are marked either since tanjiro is the only reason as too how they got there mark!)
kaigaku vs zenitsu (Zenitsu would win however highly injured)
Gyutaro and daki vs Mitsuri (Mituri's weapon gives her a major edge over them and gives her the abilty to cut both there heads at the same time with ease)
Gyoko vs Rengoku (only because its flame vs water thats why i did this match up, Rengoku should have better base stats than muichiro and Base muichiro was reacting to base gyoko which should mean rengoku could win with barely any injurys)
Hantengu vs Shinobu (Since she is unable to cut a demons head hantengu would never be able to use his clones and just simply die too poison with 0 injurys for shinobu)
Nakime vs sanemi (Most likely since sanemi is faster than obanai, the same obanai who had tons of trouble with nakime sanemi should beat nakime pretty easily)
akaza vs Gyomei (A EXTREMLY bad matchup for akaza, since he fights fist to blade not a whole literal malice vs a couple of hands. literally one hit from gyomei is gonna most likely leave akaza crippled, akaza's going to have to spam ranged attacks however he'll eventually lose)
Douma vs Shinobu and sanemi (Picked shinobu since its majorly relevant too the story she fights douma, and sanemi since he was close to kanae, So unlike in the main story shinobu would never be able to get absorbed since sanemi would constantly be trying to attack douma meaning shinbou would die and never have the chance to be able kill douma herself, While sanemi nearly gets killed But obanai would most likely come (while being pretty late as usual), And save sanemi and engage douma, Eventually they would barely pull out the win while being pretty injured)
Kokushibo Vs Sanemi, Obanai, Mitsuri, Zenitsu, Gyomei, Rengoku
(All of the remaining slayers are going to be sent to fight kokushibo regardless of being injured but because of them never being able to unlock there mark they would lose to kokushibo however not without giving kokushibo quite the challenge and maybe turning one or all of them into demons to replace the other upper moons)

I'm pretty sure tengen didn't retire because of injuries, he retired bc he made a deal with kagaya that he needed to kill an upper moon before he can finally rest with his wives

To those confused about the power scaling here, you have to consider the fact that marked Tanjiro from episode 1 is VASTLY different from a marked Tanjiro from an already trained Tanjiro. If Tanjiro were to train from the beginning having already had the mark, he could train much harder and perform even better FAR faster, getting results at an insane pace. His *growth* would have been faster is the main point here. Someone at lvl 50 getting an xp boost gets way less value than someone at lvl 1 getting the same xp boost. He would have grown way faster in a shorter span of time, far surpassing the growth he would have normally had. Probably on a multiplicative standpoint.

There is no way that rengoku + untrained + marked tanjiro can kill Akaza, Akaza would kill tanjiro if tanjiro fought with rengoku against Akaza. In original story Trained + Marked + Transparent world tanjiro + giyu wouldnt be able to kill akaza if akaza didnt kill himself by his own.

Imo theres a massive and simple problem with the second scenario: Tanjiro would likely cut the boulder instantly in this version, doing the selection early. Meaning he wouldnt meet zenitsu and inosuke. Considering his insane rate of progress without this yoriichi powerup its fair to say that by the time he reaches the same time point as the original selection, he will likely have skills and experience equal to a hashira

I don't think Akaza would be brought down that easily, because remember, Tanjiro only become strong enough to beat Akaza due to Rengoku's death. The mark is not something in which, - Oh look, he has a mark since birth, he's overpowered- all characters have a certain boost with a mark, and Yoriichi was just extremely gifted. So Tanjiro and Inosuke would have simply just resisted Akaza till sunrise and all three of them would have survived.

Honestly. Something we all looked over. Forget about tanjiros mark. Nezuko could survive in the sunlight since the very beginning. It was obviously day time when she turned and she didnt burn up.
I don't think that's how it worked out tho as rengokus death didn't make tanjiro stronger it inspired him to continue to fight the demons his strength came from his desire to not want to see anyone else suffer the way his family did rengoku all tho was a cytalist for him growing more powerful he wasnt the reason taniiro grew stronger his death didn't make Tanjiro more powerful It just inspired him to keep fighting for what's right

In the last scenario, you got something kind of wrong. If a demon slayer mark is activated, the user is set to die at 25 unless they are born with it. This means Gyomei does not die to “over using it” he dies because he was already past 25 years old when it was activated

Also, Tengen retires. He promised his wives when he will defeat an Uppermoon he would retire. Also, Tanjiro would NEVER be as strong as Yoriichi. Tanjiro is just simply not able to reach Yoriichis strength. So, yeah, he wouldn't be as strong as that. Also, I think the mark would spread to Tengen and Rengoku.

If tanjiro had the mark from the start, after he has his epiphany about the sun breathing, the anime would end pretty quick, since he will be able to do the 13th form of the sun breathing withing a season.

I don’t think that Muichiro would be there for the final battle against Muzan. He still arrived by Kokoshibo first, already injuring him. I believe that he’d still be killed but a great asset in the fight.
Meh but with 2 extra hashira we don’t know if they arrive before or after muichiro, but assuming things go best as possible all 3 tengen, rengoku, And muichiro face kokushibo as genya arrives to cause kokushibo to be even more distracted, shortly after sanemi arrives and kokushibo is full on distracted

1 Tengen would retire anyway cause of the deal he made with his wives and Kagaya
. 2 After Akaza's Death the demons would become alot less lenient and become more violent as this was Doma's and Kokushibo's flaw, they were toying with their enemies for too long. 3 Tanjiro would be stronger but also less knowledgable and things WOULD NOT get easier. Also Gyokko would have likely had to 1 hit K.O Muichiro due to point 2.

In the second outcome, i believe that it would be almost like the very end of the series normally, as in everyone has their breathing styles passed down, and there are just more people who use the breathings in the end.
The whole reason why i like demon slayer is because the author doesn't hold back and actually kills the supporting characters

Akaza would not be brought down so easily, it would take at least three unmarked Hashira (depending on the team) to kill him, hell maybe even two marked Hashira with high to extreme difficulty. Unmarked Rengoku and Mugen Train Tanjiro (even with his mark) would get destroyed.
The tanjiro fighting in this scenario would be probably at selfless state tanjiro lvl

Let me add some notes as I'm watching the video.
Note 1: In scenario 2, during the Akaza fight, Rengoku likely activates his own slayer mark. Theoretically, in order to activate a slayer mark, a sun breather close to the slayer must awaken theirs first. Though at the time Tanjiro TECHNICALLY doesn't know sun breathing (Knows Hinokami Kagura), I can still see Rengoku activating it at that point in time.
Note 2: In scenario 2, during Tengen's fight, Tengen too would've likely activated the slayer mark. This is assuming that he went through a hard battle while Tanjiro was making his way there (delayed by Daki (not much)). Whether he activates it or not, Tanjiro's change leads to him not losing any limbs or enduring any permanent damage (poison is cured by Nezuko like in original story)
Note 3: In scenario 2, like always, during certain fights. The hashiras will once again activate their slayer marks.
Note 4: In scenario 2, with the demon slayer corp's freedom, they would probably be able to locate Muzan somehow. (Or they can just make pre-emptive measures for that. (The Ubuyashiki family is good at adapting based on the past) In this case, they completely end demons (Tamayo and Yushiro live)
Note 5: In scenario 3, some of the Hashiras activate their slayer mark, fewer than that of in scenario 2. Why you may ask? They did not have to push themselves to their limits, as either the battle ended that much earlier or they had the advantage in numbers.
Note 6: In scenario 3, the Hashiras fighting kokushibo activate their slayer marks.
Note 7: Gyomei does not die due to OVERUSAGE of the slayer mark or whatever was said, it happens due to the fact that Gyomei is 27.

I don’t think Zenitsu would manage to die by Gyutaro and Daki because he met Tanjiro which they met Inosuke which they killed Kyogai which they went to Mount Natagumo and Zenitsu nearly dies and they return to butterfly mansion which meant they had access to it from now on and if tanjiro wasn’t there he would never have been able to reach the butterfly mansion meaning Tengen would’ve just picked Miss Aoi

Im late, but i notice several inconsistencies with your theory
For example, in outcome 3, Tanjiro will probably not meet Inosuke and Zenitsu, since he can undergo the final selection much earlier, as he was held back mostly because of the boulder, which he no longer has to go through
This also applies for the second outcome, where since Tanjiro has the mark, he finishes his training and slices the boulder much quicker.
Also, since Tanjiro gets the mark early, this means that Zenitsu becomes the second person with the mark, thanks to him meeting all conditions at Natagumo. This also means that Rengoku obtains the mark during his fight with Akaza, and same for Tengen at the Entertainment district.
Now following your theory of "Muzan might go into hiding for another century", since Tanjiro has unlocked the mark, he can teach his son hoe to use the Hinokami Kagura, which would mean that his son also gets the mark, and thus another set of marked hashiras appear. So regardless of Muzan fighting the corps now or a century later, he still would have to fight a full set of marked slayers.
Again moving to the third scenario, since Tanjiro becomes Tomiokas tsugoku, he would become recognised by Oyakata-sama quite early, and since Oyakata-sama knows about the mark and its relation with sun breathing, Tanjiro might learn Sun Breathing even before the Final Selection.
The fact the marks were lost over the years seems to refute your theory, showing unlocking the marks via training isn't a dependable way to do it generationally. Let alone that no slayer would have experience with anything moon level.
But if tanjiro had really been the mark since the beginning, then maybe his father could have shown him some techniques or not?
In the og story final arc started bc Muzan decided to attack all of the hashiras due to Nezuko being able to live at the sunlight. That means in the 3rd scenario Nezuko wouldn't know her resistance to sunlight bc Tanjiro easily killed 4th upper moon, so Muzan will not attack and final arc wouldn't be started. I think the 3rd scenario would go as the 2nd one where Muzan just wait for Tanjiro to die of old age or mark

Tengen would still retire. He stated at the end of the Entertainment District that he planned on retiring right after killing an upper moon, which he does, therefore he would still retire.
I think you got 2 things wrong in the last one:
1. Tengen would still retire as he retired because he made a promise to Kagaya that he would kill an upper moon before he retires.
And even if we say that Tengen doesn’t retire:
2. Tanjiro wouldn’t become sun Hashira because there can never be more than 9 Hashira.
Giyuu wont die because he’ll see the power in tanjiro and not turn his guard down + just because tanjiro has the mark doesnt mean he has transparent world
heres a good anime plot: we would reference the first scenario and tanjiro kills giyu, now hes on the run andhis enemies are both humanity and demons, hashiras chase him down across all of japan and try to get him but he trains all this time, the plot would be about his adventures escaping from hashira levels and escaping demons, he slowly but surely finds books that teach him about everything he needs to know, these books are scattered around japan with each book containing knowledge of everything and a cluse as to where the next book is, the hashiras are searching for him and so is muzan and no one has any idea where the books are, the story will be about adventures of getting the 20 books of enlightenment and he soon becomes powerful, his goal at first is just survival, now his goal is to become the strongest and to make demons and humans live in harmony and him being the leader.
Tanjiro's mark means the other Hashira would also unlock their marks far earlier in the story. Rengoku would have been marked and held Akaza till sunrise alone and lived or maybe even won being able to hold him in place long enough without Tanjiro. Akaza must die to the Sun because he conquers beheading but this time wouldn't give up since he hasn't grown as a person enough yet. Even without Tanjiro being much stronger, Tengen would have easily killed Gyutaro and Daki alone even without overpowered Tanjiro because he would have unlocked his mark and won the 1v1 vs gyutaro quickly, being much faster than him. If Akaza dies then Muzan might send Kokushibo and Doma just to kill Tanjiro alone like how he told Daki to kill the slayer with Yoriichi's earrings

well, i think the second theory that tanjiro wouldnt learn water breathing quickly, because people born with selfless state, transparent world, and demon slayer mark they have a hard time learning other breathing techniques. Because they are meant to learn the strongest Breathing style of them all, Sun breathing.
I believe there are two plot points not considered. First being Tanjiros first meeting with Muzan in the city. How would than pan out differently. And second being isn't there something that states the slayer mark is contagious
I'm pretty sure muzan would sent kokushibo to swordsmith village. Remember muzan calls kokushibo business partner because he kills sun breath user.
In the first they wouldn’t have even gotten past the spider fam because as you pointed out insole would die die to being over matched but remember zenitzu was poisoned by the spider demon(if he were to fight him)
If he did that Muzan won’t even appear because that bastard fears Yoriichi so much so that even after he learned he died he waited for like a couple decades just to ensure he dead
I think at the swordsmith village, muzan would realise how strong the demon slayers are so he would send someone like Douma to take care of it (the reason I chose Douma was because Douma did want to go to the swordsmith village)as 2 upper moons have already died. Douma would be really excited seeing Mitsuri there and he will likely kill her and absorb her after this, there are 2 upper moons left (gyokko died) Hantengu, and Douma. These 2 are extremely powerful demons and even if Douma was in a playful attitude the demons would most likely win (scenario 2)

I think the second version is the most likely cuz a few of the moons would’ve probably believed yorichi was reincarnated or something and muzan would’ve went into hiding after his upper 3 died. Not to mention tengen would’ve actually retired cuz he struck a deal to rest after he killed a moon. I think the story only works the way it does because tanjiro is never at one point strong enough to outclass any of the upper moons he’s faced while facing them which would give muzan the idea that he is still very killable. No way muzan doesn’t use his immortality to his advantage and hide till he gets old and dies.

I find these theories good,but I have 1 thing I disagree with. Akaza isn't dumb. He wouldn't let his head be cut off. Akaza would simply flee like he did in the original as soon as the sun rose. Making him survive,but so does Rengoku. Ontop of that,in the fight Akaza wasn't even serious,and Rengoku might have activated his mark due to tanjiro already having his during the mugen train arc,making Rengoku rise in power tremendously,potentionally surpassing Sanemi (maybe even Gyomei)

If they were to easily kill Gyutaro his sword wouldn't have shattered into pieces thus never needing to go to the swordsmith village. Mitsuri and Muichiro's chance of awakening their slayer marks would've been significantly lower due to having lower exposure to Tanjiro therefore killing both of them and the entire swordsmith village. Nezuko wouldn't have conquered the sun therefore Muzan would have no need for her and would still be searching for the blue spider lily. If Tanjiro became a hashira wouldn't he be assigned to different locations alone (without Inosuke and Zenitsu)
you cant also forget that because Tanjiro would have the mark with rengoku, it would allow rengoku to activate his mark as well. hence why he couldnt activate it before when tanjiro didnt have his.
Why does no one even consider how the demon mark even works. Anyone can get it as long as their life is on the line. The temperature in their body increases causing their strength to then increase but at the cost of literally having the worst fever in existence. Yorrichii was the only person born with the mark which is literally stated in the manga that he could die from just one scratch. If tanjiro awakened the mark from the beginning then he would have died when he dropped hot boiling water on his head :D
