  • In this video I run a little Q&A with my wife Jen as a fun way for you guys to get to know her better. For those of you who don’t know, Jen is my wife and also my little behind-the-scenes RUclips helper. All those clips you see in my videos where I’m in frame and the camera is moving were shot by Jen. She also helps with ideas, critique and endless support.
This video is also a mini-review of Hollyland’s Lark M1 wireless mic system. I used it for about two weeks before making this video and came away quite impressed. It’s an easy to use and reasonably priced way to capture good audio. Perfect for the run-and-gun creator.
    As always, thanks for watching!
Disclaimer: Although Hollyland sent me the product to review, for free, they had no involvement in this video. These are my own opinions and I actually really like the product. I receive a lot of offers to review products and ignore most. I say "yes" to products that I would choose myself and ones I think may be of interest to folks watching this channel.

We live just south of DC in the US and the summers here are hot and humid, although not as hot this summer. Some years ago we vacationed in the Gatineau area of Ottawa and absolutely loved it. Warm enough during the day for the lake and cool enough at night for a lakeside fire. We hope to make it back soon. Cheers!

Our summer has been hot but not as hot as last year when we pushed over 40C for a week. We've gone about two months now with barely a drop of rain. Cooler mornings and nights now though, which is nice. Cheers!

Thanks so much! Jen's a natural so I need to get her in front of the camera more. Molly has really slowed down sadly, so hikes are getting shorter and fewer. Lucky to have both of those girls in my life. Cheers!

Very nice video once again Jen and Steve. Please don't make us wait two years before we see Jen again. Question: Why do you look older while Jen looks younger than the last time you two did a video? Cheers to you both, Bob

Hahah! It's her Finnish heritage. She doesn't age. Hope to get Jen in front of the camera more, she's a natural. Cheers Bob!

really great and short one - still remember the spark diving into the water and your solution for that.
Had forgotten that you had lost a spark earlier I guess.
Hockey means Ice hockey in Canada , not the summer olympics hockey even though this is here a womens sport too and quite successfull regarding medals where ice hockey successes are very limited

Thanks! Losing my original Spark happened I think about two months after I got it. Thankfully DJI support replaced it under warranty after reviewing the flight records. My second Spark had a few misadventures too but it still works perfectly fine.
You are correct. Hockey in Canada is ice hockey. Cheers!

You guys look so healthy! Any diet tips or you think it’s from tons of exercise?

    • @SteveCoutts
      @SteveCoutts  Год назад

Well, thank you. We do move a lot. Mountain biking is our big activity in the summer and it does burn a bunch of calories. Jen makes me workout more than I want to but I like the results - haha!
It doesn't have to be hard core exercise though. Just do whatever gets you off the couch and keeps you moving. It's great when you have a favourite sport or activity because you burn calories without it feeling like work.
Walking/hiking is probably the number two activity for us in terms of time spent doing it. Molly gets walks plus we do a few extra loops around the neighbourhood daily. Hiking usually on weekends if we're not biking.
I really think walking is underrated as a form of exercise. If you changed nothing else but started walking minimum 20 minutes a day, 7 days a week, things would change. It needs to be done with purpose though.
Other than that, cut back on the junk food (my weakness) and drink plenty of water. That would be a good start. As your body gets stronger and healthier, you tend to become motivated to do more. Good luck!
