I have really enjoyed the couple Fredrik Backman novels I have read (A Man Called Ove, Britt Marie Was Here, and My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry). Many of his titles are long! I have several more TBR, but I haven't read much at all since 2020. I need to get into audiobooks....
I’m intrigued to read more of his work for sure! Audiobooks have been THE reason I’m able to read as much as I do, haha.
I never got a chance to comment but wanted to tell you we love Patrick Rothfuss in my house so I immediately bought this book when you showed it. It is even more beautiful in person I hope they eventually make more available in the US

Your nails still look great! I’m so self conscious about mine because my nails are bitten and awful 😂. That book is beautiful and I’m going to go check out the blurb for it after your video. Sad that the third has taken so long to come out! I think there are enough Brandon Sanderson fans out there then you’ll be just fine starting with him. Yeah it does have a slow start but it all comes together after a few chapters amazingly. I’m so excited for this! I probably won’t follow on good reads but I’ll be here for the videos!

I started my Year of the dragon for Lunar New Year this weekend and went with The Lightweaver by Ravynne Phelan. Working random with a smaller square kit because 2/3 of the kit is made up of like 5 colors and I will surely get board lol
Oh good, it definitely will help that you’re used to epic fantasy! Ooh the Lightweaver has such pretty colors but I can understand wanting to shake it up a bit with something else, hehehe.
I’ve having a Diet DrPepper with you. I think you will do great with your book RUclips videos. I missed your first one, but I intend to go back and watch it. As far as the snakes are concerned, I would have left the premises 😅 yay, I had 2 rescue cats named Smokey and Bandit. Then I have Oscar, he is more human than a dachshund. He truly thinks he needs to do everything we do or go.

The other book I've read about that author is Anxious People, Was a bit hesitant due to the hype, but really enjoyed it!

The book is beautiful but the fact that the series is taking so long angers me so much! I don't like to read books until the series is complete so I have the other books sitting on my shelf to read and I refuse to read them. I hope that it's worth the wait but I do wonder if he's actually writing it. I use Libby a lot. I would love to have Audible too someday. I enjoy listening to something when I make art and I enjoy non-fiction audio books. I have a hard time with listening to someone read fiction books to me. I like to use my imagination on what the characters sound like and most of the time I feel like the readers get it wrong. It's extra weird listening to a spicy book being read (hehe).
I actually don’t mind that it isn’t finished yet - I really love watching theory videos on YT about what people think is gonna happen and guessing at all the hints Rothfuss has dropped throughout the first two books. Once we have it finished, all that will be answered and it’ll lose its mystery! Haha. I’m still hoping he finishes it so we can eventually find out what happens, but for now I’m enjoying all the speculation. Ah that’s understandable that you want to imagine the voices for yourself. None of my kids enjoy audiobooks either. To each their own! Haha yeah it’s definitely a bit weird listening to spicy scenes 😂
