heres a tip i use: 1. FREESTYLE THE ENTIRE SONG, JUST RANDOM SHII DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU SAY JUST DO IT 2. GO BACK AND REPLACE THE LYRICS OR KEEP SOME PARTS FROM THE FREESTYLE 3. DO STEP 2 ABOUT THREE TIMES SO YOU HAVE RANDOM VERSES AND PICK THE ONES YOU LIKE THE MOST AND KEEP THEM.
great tips! One tip I have is: don't be too proud to write down the lyrics if you struggle to find a new bar. It really can help because you can focus much better on what's good and what's not🤝
and Audio Record! especially if u smoke haha. i only do my music stoned. matter fact i am stoned rn. anyways, i always watn to much that even when i find a good flow, if i change for 5 second to another flow i cant find my original flow no more.... so yea as said, if your a smoker you should record it . i mean if its bs you can still delete afterwars. have a good one. ;)
If you are a beginning artist, best advice i can give is to ALWAYS use beats that have a melody and just go along with the melody. mumble to the melody and just say random words until you get a good idea in your mind about what you want to say. Just match it to the melody itself. once you get better, you can go for experimental rap/other genre songs where there isn't much of a melody and you will have to create your own melody/counter melody to the drums being used like what gunnr is doing in the video
I have a question i bought the industry preset and i love it but i found out the adlib vocal preset fits my voice better in general so is it bad to use that for the whole song ?
same ngl i just freestyle on the entire thing and do take after take after take till it sounds good and just keep revising till its as good as i want to. Thinking on it too much just stresses you out, NO SHAME IN DOING MANY MANY MANY takes too, most pro singers spend days in the studio for this reason
I used to try to write bars one after another before or after I heard a beat for it. I decided that was too hard to make coherent verses with most of the time unless it was all in your head so now I write a story and don't think much about rhymes, then go back and rewrite it so it fits a beat with rhymes. I like the approach of freestyling like this for a melody but maybe I just haven't done this style enough.
I been looking at youtube fl studio turoials since i was 15 im 26 now with a full career and life is totally different but THIS IS THE BEST TUTORIAL HANDS DOWN. DUDE IS AWESOME
another thing you could try is to use a line from another song you like that you think could fit as a jumping off point (be sure to take it in a different direction ofc and use just as inspo you dont wanna just straight copy)
you have to adjust your auto tune to match your voice specifically, i recommend not touching the flex tune setting and just adjusting retune speed to >11 and your humanize setting shouldnt be above 50 whilst your vibrato adjuster shouldnt be going outside the -4.4 -- 4.4 range. But thats just me and make sure you are rapping at least a little in key.
i have a question, when i load up my ken carson plugin it says there was an error setting the state of “Auto-Tune Artist” is that normal? if not how do i fix
pro tip: a song 99% of times WON'T sound good the first time you sing it, or just if you re-read it and it doesn't fit well, that's why you always write and/or sing it more times, very RARELY, a song will come out good the first time you do it, basically only people with a gift from God or a Musical Ear, but trust me just work and don't expect everything in your first months, and don't underestimate what you gon do in 2 years.
any suggestions you have for a vocal preset similar to trippie redds new mix on allty5? could you listen to that album and let me know if your trippie redd miss the rage preset would work for those type of rnb songs on allty5?
