I loved this song when it was released probably in 1986 when I was in grade 10. Today I am 50 years old and still love this song as much as I did it in the past. Love from Pakistan 🇵🇰 ♥.
Your father Kishore Kumar was one in a million. A real star, a genius & an institution unto himself. You have as his son inherited his melodious voice. Till date Kishore Kumar is my favourite singer followed by his son Amit Kumar. God bless you in every turn of your life.
One thing is clear Bollywood is Chamchagiri, talent is secondary, otherwise y wld such a great voice & human being is not having the fame that he really deserves, Amit Kumar's Voice quality even in this age is absolutely stunning, remarkable.
@@hrishikeshgitay4148 Of course, he has an incredible voice quality, just like his dad. Songs like Kehdo ki tum ho meri, Kaisa lagta hai, Jao tum chahe jahan, Tip tip tip baarish shuru ho gayi, etc., are great examples of his mesmerizing voice quality. Just listen the song 'Aa baahon mein aa dekhu tujhe main pyar se' (Movie: Mahasangram,1990), his voice sounded absolutely magical in this song. I had listened numerous songs of Kishore Da,but the voice quality which Amit Da showed in the song 'Aa baahon mein aa dekhu tujhe', that kind of voice quality I couldn't find in any of the song of Kishore Da. Although I am a big fan of Kishore Da,I had to admit that Amit Da even surpassed Kishore Da in some of his songs. But,sadly, this legend was underrated. People didn't know much about his singing capabilities.
After Kishore Kumar he should have been the leading voice in Bollywood anytime. it’s a dirty game but cannot hide the sun or it’s rays you are born to do this Amit Da. God bless .
There is not a single singing mehfil in my life which I haven't graced by singing this timeless piece of yours. It's such a huge shame sir that the world was deprived from the likes of you. You are no less than your legendary father.
I thought this composition cannot be improved...after all this is an RD composition...but once again only Amit Kumar can prove somebody wrong...and the legacy continues..
Amit kumar is a gem... I listened to the original song n this one...his voice is like wine... Older the better... Mature yet melodious... Can't get enough of this.. Long live amit
His only problem is that people like to see him as a protege of his famous father. But he himself is a great singer with a power of modulation of voice coupling with melodious touch.
I don’t know why people still compare him with his father!! ...he has such a melodious voice ,sooo soothing and strong. Amit Kumar is someone who has been overshadowed by his father though he is pole apart and gifted with extremely romantic musical voice
Well, that's his destiny. He was born to the most versatile genius of all time, Kishore Da. He was advantageous because he got to learn everything directly from one of the greatest legends of all time, but at the same time, he was disadvantageous too because he was always under the shadow of his legendary father. But, the fact can't be denied that all the songs, which he sang, were superhits and evergreen. Be it 'Bade acche lagte hain' or 'Dekho maine dekha hai ek sapna' or 'Ye zameen ga rahi hai' or 'Dushman na kare' or 'Roz roz aankhon tale' or 'Kehdo ki tum' or 'Kaisa lagta hai' or 'Tip tip tip barish' or 'Jao tum chahe jahan' or even 'Laila o laila'. A versatile singer, indeed. The songs like 'Kehdo ki tum' and 'Tip tip tip barish' put him in a different league of singers. We should be glad that he is still singing for us, even at the age of 68, and continuing the legacy of Kishore Da.

Wow..Amitda's voice sounds as fresh as his 80's voice..This is a mystery..In fact his voice in this song has that added feel of sweet honey..When other contemporaries of Amitda have lost their original touch, he sounds better & better with each passing day..While hearing this song I felt that Amitda has added 50 years of his best experience into this song..If it is allowed to air on FM channels the listeners will just love it...Thanks Amitda again for giving this wonderful gift to us..It is like breathing fresh air in polluted Bollywood music.
I'm from Iraq since I was a child and I watch Indian movies and songs, but I used to think that the actor is the same who sings until I grew up and discovered the real legends behind these beautiful voices and I became a fan of them now despite my late acquaintance with them, but I am one of the biggest fans of you Amit sir and one of the biggest fans of Kishore Kumar sir . I wish I could be something in Bollywood, but I think it is a difficult dream to achieve 😅.
Dada aapko bachpan se suna hai ... from love story days ... aap hindustan ke top 10 singers mein se ek ho dada ... you have your own style of singing and very original voice. No one can beat you ... you are simply brilliant. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
I think he was unlucky in his career .. lot of competition from likes of Kumar Sanu Abhijeet babul; all we’re trying copy kishor da . But real waris is Amit Kumar
Actually, that is not the case with him. People think that they didn't get more to listen from Amit Kumar and he sang a lot less no of songs than his contemporaries. Actually, he sang a lot of beautiful and melodious songs, many were superhits and many went unnoticed. Even he sang 170 Hindi songs for the legendary RD Burman. He sang a lot no of songs for Laxmikant Pyarelal, Bappi Lahiri, Rajesh Roshan and Anand Milind. He was quite unlucky and always had to face a stiff competition from his contemporaries. His career started from mid 1970's, where he had to compete with the musical legends like Rafi sahab and Kishore Da and also his new colleagues like Shailendra Singh and Suresh Wadkar. Then, came the 1980's, Rafi sahab was no more and Kishore Da alone dominated the whole music industry till his death in 1987. In this decade, Amit Kumar had to compete with the so called clones of Rafi sahab like Anwar, Shabbir Kumar, Mohd Aziz, and together with the musical stalwart like SP Balasubrahmanyam. Shailendra Singh's career was finished in 80's decade, while Suresh Wadkar was still singing in 80's, together with Amit Kumar. After the departure of Kishore Da, Amit Kumar dominated the music scene from 1988 to 1991. From late 80's to early 90's, Amit Kumar and Mohd Aziz were the most preffered male playback singers in Hindi films. Then, came the 90's decade, and it marked the end of the era of legendary music composers like RD Burman, Laxmikant Pyarelal, Kalyanji Anandji, etc., and even Bappi Lahiri, who was a very popular music composer of 80's, slowly faded away in 90's. 90's marked the new era of Bollywood music with the string of new music directors like Nadeem Shravan, Anand Milind and Jatin Lalit, and the new playback singers like Sanu, Udit, Abhijeet and Vinod Rathod. During 90's, Anand Milind were the only new age music composers who regularly worked with Amit Kumar and were quite successful in utilizing him. Even Jatin Lalit too tried to utilize the talent of Amit Kumar, but not as good as Anand Milind did. While, Nadeem Shravan worked only with their favourites Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan. Amit Kumar and Suresh Wadkar were the only singers, who started in 70's and were still singing in 90's. Suresh Wadkar faded away in 90's. Amit Kumar was continuously singing till mid 90's, then he decided to voluntarily quit Bollywood, as the conditions of playback singing in Bollywood, changed drastically in 90's. Dominance and interference of the music companies increased a lot in 90's. Running behind and pleasing the music directors, became a regular work of the new playback singers in 90's. The careers of the playback singers were lying in the hands of the music companies, and it was at their discretion that they want to promote which singer in Bollywood. Kumar Sanu was highly supported and promoted by T-series in 90's, and also he was a favourite of Nadeem Shravan, the most successful music director duo of 90's, which flourished his career a lot. Kumar Sanu's career flourished till late 90's and after that he slowly lost his charm and became completely nasal. Abhijeet was not a very dominating singer in 90's, but yes, after the success of 'Yes Boss' in 1997, he achieved some fame and popularity. Abhijeet's only achievement in his career was that he was the voice of ShahRukh Khan for quite some time, nothing else he could achieve in his career. Sanu, Abhijeet, Udit, Babul Supriyo, Vinod Rathod, etc., they all slowly faded away post 2000, and it marked the new era of Bollywood music with the singers like Sonu Nigam, Shaan and KK. Sonu Nigam and KK were singing from mid 90's, but they became leading singers only post 2000. Then, their era also came to an end after 2012, and it began the era of Arijit Singh and Atif Aslam. And now, Arijit Singh is the only good singer left in Bollywood, who is singing now. Currently, the Bollywood music is dominated by some useless rappers and autotune singers. This is how the scenario of Bollywood music changed time to time from 1970's to till now.

Baap re... That was Heavenly Sir ji. Such a refreshing treat. Sir, I always feel your father, The Great Kishore Da, was someone from a heavenly abode who somehow lost his way to this Earth. We Indians are blessed to have him and his incredible renditions. Thank You.
Its sad that this great singer had been neglected through out his career inspite of having such a melodious voice. Had Pancham da been alive, Amit Kumar would have created history. What a song and what a voice!
Amitji is an ocean of talent. He can mimic, articulate extremely well.He can fit into films for a smaller roles. He speaks his heart out. It is well known he is a talented singer and a Multifaceted personality. 🌹🌹🌹
2:41 to 2:43 lesson for all singers. You don’t need any extra “Harkat” to make song beautiful. Sing it plainly and from soul and it touches millions of hearts.
Yes. Nice observation. I remember one song 'Dheere dheere chori chori', from the film 'Imtihaan' (1994), sung by Amit Kumar and Alka Yagnik. Amit Kumar sang it so beautifully, plain and with soul. And yes, there was one more song of Amit Kumar's 'Dil jigar ke jaan accha hai', from the film 'Jaanam' (1992), sung together with Anuradha Paudwal. He sang it so softly and gracefully. Amit Kumar and Anuradha Paudwal duet 'Kaisa lagta hai' from 'Baaghi' (1990) was a smash hit song of early 90's. He sang it brilliantly and his voice suited superbly to Salman Khan. He is very versatile. His voice could be softer and silky in some songs, while it could be heavy, masculine and powerful too in some of the songs like 'Kehdo ki tum', 'Jao tum chahe jahan', 'Tip tip tip barish shuru ho gayi' (my most favourite), 'Dushman na kare', 'Pehla pehla pyar hai jaanam tere liye', etc. His voice modulation was outstanding in the song 'Sanam mere sanam' from 'Hum' (1990). And the song 'Aa baahon mein aa dekhu tujhe', from the film 'Mahasangram', sung by Amit Kumar and Anuradha Paudwal, is an absolute melodious gem.

Amit Sir why were you being compared with anybody. I am 45 years old I born in the era where love story songs were everywhere. I can say that your voice is so so soulful and crystal clear. Why much songs were not offered to you back then is still a mystery to me but I'm into music like from my head to toe and the way you take Alaap OMG!! Your voice is a clear combination of Indian and Western voice.
Dear Amit sir, if you are reading this: When I played this song I cried. Not becoz i was sad. But I did not know there were emotions stuck inside me. your voice made those emotions come out . Music is soothing and healing and I felt that today. Miss all the days of old as there was so much purity in music and in voice. Now Only thing we feel is boycotting Bollywood and boycotting Mafia.
@@mkbskb1 This is the magic of the 'melody' of this song. Music can heal any pain. These kind of soothing and melodious songs can make anyone nostalgic and emotional. These melodious gems have the power to dig out the emotions from any individual. Just listen this song with your eyes closed, you will feel calm and relaxed. I don't know how many times I have listened this song (may be more than 100 times), still never got bored of listening it and everytime I listen it, gives a soothing and pleasant effect to the body and mind. The magic of music and melody. Only a true music lover would understand it.

Your comments are showing your craziness, together with your maturity.😆😆😆 Sorry to say, but I don't think you had any keen sense of music. As I had already said in my previous comment, only a true music lover would understand the emotions of a melodious song. Only a 80's or 90's kid would understand the feeling, emotions and memories attached with these kind of songs.

Iam ashamed as a Bengali we couldn't recognise your true potential. And you were not paid your due properly. The industry couldn't use you to your fullest. Yet you will always rule out heart as a fragment of Kishore Kumar. A true gem that deserves to be placed on the crown.
Absolutely correct. Amit Da is a true legend. Just listen his songs like Kehdo ki tum ho meri warna (Movie: Tezaab), Kaisa lagta hai (Movie: Baaghi), Jao tum chahe jahan (Movie: Narsimha), Tip tip baarish shuru ho gayi (Movie: Afsana Pyar Ka), Dekho maine dekha hai ek sapna (Movie: Love Story), Ye zameen ga rahi hai (Movie: Teri Kasam), Tirchi topiwale (Movie: Tridev), Sanam mere sanam (Movie: Hum), Dushman na kare (Movie: Akhir Kyon), Kajal kajal (Movie: Sapoot), Pyar tum mujhse karti ho don't say no (Movie: Ghayal), Mujhko ye zindagi lagti hai ajnabi (Movie: Sailaab), Dil ke aasman pe gham ki ghata chahi (Movie: Romance), and many more. From Rajesh Khanna and Anil Kapoor to Salman Khan and Amir Khan, he sang superhit songs for almost all the actors. Listen his song 'Aa baahon mein aa dekhu tujhe main pyar se' (Movie: Mahasangram), his voice sounds magical. What an incredible voice he had! Tremendous versatility! Even leave all this, just listen his soulful & heart touching song 'Har ghadi dhal rahi shaam hai zindagi dard ka doosra naam hai zindagi' (Movie: Saaransh), this song shows his depth of talent. What a great singer he is! I am 100% sure that many of the so called popular singers of nowadays would fail to sing this soulful song of Amit Da. This masterpiece song, from 'Saaransh', is enough to describe how great this singer is and what a talent he was. Bollywood wasted this singing legend and they failed to recognize the true legacy carrier of Kishore Da. Even after singing so many superhit songs, Amit Da never received his due respect and recognition from Bollywood, which he truly deserved. I can't understand why Bollywood favoured and preffered some nasal singers and copycats (the fake voices and the clones of Kishore Da), over a true gem like Amit Da.
This is not true because there was the time when he was at the top and he left bollywood on his own will ..He is great legend in many interviews he said .. I left bollywood because I felt "ab bas bahut hua "
@@jeweldutta2557As he himself revealed in one of his interviews, that he was disrespected in Bollywood and he felt that a lot of backbiting was happening behind his back. R D Burman's death in 1994 was also a big reason, as he was the mentor of Amit Kumar, and Amit Da shared a deep bonding with Pancham Da. Do you know that he had sung 170 Hindi songs for R D Burman? As Amit Da had himself said that Pancham Da was like his father. These circumstances forced him to leave Bollywood. He was a top male playback singer in Hindi films, from 80's to early 90's. In fact, he was the second most preffered male playback singer in Bollywood, after Kishore Da. During early 90's, he collaborated with Anand Milind and sang many hit songs for them. He never ran behind the music companies and music directors for work, which many Bollywood playback singers used to do in 90's. He believed that his talent would get him work. In around mid 90's, he quit Bollywood and started performing in live shows and concerts all over the world. As far as I know, after quitting Bollywood, he only occasionally sang in Hindi films, that too especially in the music direction of Jatin Lalit, in the movies like Raju Chacha and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. He sang two songs 'Dil dil ka ye kaam hai' and 'Kahin se aayi rani kahin se aaya raja' for Ajay Devgan in Raju Chacha, and he also sang for Amitabh Bachchan in the song 'Bole chudiyaan' of Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham.
@@hoomanbeing9075 Again, you started doing the same thing, which you were doing in the previous videos. You can't see people appreciating and admiring Amit Kumar. So, again you came here to degrade his personality and image. What's your problem, man? Why you are insisting the people so much to listen to someone else? I think people are smart and wise enough to decide that who is a better singer and whom they should listen to? Again, without any doubt, I would say that Amit Kumar is most closest to Kishore Da, no chance for anyone else. No means no. If you remember, we had a long discussion on such matter before too. 'Roz roz aankhon tale' is remembered as the song of Asha Ji and Amit Da. 'Roz roz aankhon tale' belongs to Amit Da, not Kishore Da. Everyone had loved Amit Da's voice in this song. One point which I would like to stress upon is that Amit Kumar could very easily sing and sound like Kishore Da, and he had proved it through his numerous hit songs, but he didn't want people to call him a 'copycat of Kishore Kumar',that's why he tried to change his voice. 'He had all the qualities of Kishore Da, together with his own uniqueness'. Honestly speaking, even though I am a big fan of Kishore Da, I had the guts to say that Amit Kumar was more versatile singer than Kishore Da and I can prove it through the songs. If you need I can mention as much no of songs as you want, to prove that Amit Kumar was more versatile singer than Kishore Da. Not only versatility, even you will find many people (I had seen in various videos on RUclips) who think that Amit Kumar's voice quality was better than Kishore Da and upto some extent, it's correct though.
Amit Kumar's voice takes me to a different world where its Just peace and nothing else. His voice also makes me cry and breaks my heart. Kishore Da and Amit Da are Angles who heals everyone's heart from every days wear and tear

One thing is clear Bollywood is Chamchagiri, talent is secondary, otherwise y wld such a great voice & human being is not having the fame that he really deserves, Amit Kumar's Voice quality even in this age is absolutely stunning, remarkable.
True. Amit Kumar should have sung so many of hit songs hugely popular today. Anyway all his songs are super hits.
This is the truth of 21st century not just Bollywood
Unfortunately Bollywood no longer creates songs to match his voice

I don’t know why people still compare him with his father!! ...he has such a melodious voice ,sooo soothing and strong. Amit Kumar is someone who has been overshadowed by his father
though he is pole apart and gifted with extremely romantic musical voice
Ye comparison ke liye hi Amit Kumarji ki singing career thik se khara nehi kar paya!!!
His father overshadowed world
Well, that's his destiny.

I think he was unlucky in his career .. lot of competition from likes of Kumar Sanu Abhijeet babul; all we’re trying copy kishor da . But real waris is Amit Kumar
Undoubtedly true...
Same feelings here,😊
Actually, that is not the case with him.

Nicely observed 👌
@@anjanabanerjee1452 I can’t understand. Sorry. Can you translate it?

True evaluation 👍👍👍
This is not true because there was the time when he was at the top and he left bollywood on his own will ..He is great legend in many interviews he said .. I left bollywood because I felt "ab bas bahut hua "
@travellers diary any idea why he said that ?
