I live in new braunfels, close to schlitterbahn, I love it here, this place was my first job and I loved working there

Pls how much are the prizes to this place?
One adult 3kids pls how much?
I wish you would’ve gone on the lazy river with waves! That’s one of my favorite things there, it’s the one underneath the mater blaster!
Right, I forget to ride that when I had the action camera with me.
when i went i stayed there for like two hours. almost died twice 😂😂
Yeah I’ve almost gone Under the waves more than once
I haven’t been there in years last time I went there I must’ve been between 8-10 I’m 13 now
One of the best things in the park
I love that this video exist because I live here and it’s cool to see outside perspectives!
I love schlitterbahn i always go there every summer my favourite part its the waves its not like other water parks waves its much bigger and much funner
Oh and btw, on some tube rides, you end up getting stuck because the current is on one side and you go over lil bumps and you go back. might want to get up and move yourself manually. and pick up your butt because you might hit it on low floors and might scrape it
Thanks for posting this! My boyfriend and I are going on July 4th! Super helpful!!!
Sure! Have fun!
Nice job Ranger! I will definitely be going as I live in Dallas and it's only a 4 1/2 hour drive. Cannot wait!
Yeiiiiii I live here in New Braunfels, TX!!! A beautiful place to be!!
I visited NB back in 2004! Got to go back and see that town again!!!♡
First time I went was 1986 . Such a beautiful , incredible park. Not to mention free parking and you can bring your own food.
I feel so bad the Congo River is not open for you it's the best ride they're top-notch theming
They’re finally open :)
@@jayishere5611 They tend to keep it closed when they have low staffing
It was closed because a pump was broken
Traindude70 that’s not good. I didn’t know that hm
@@jayishere5611 he probably work there same with me
went here 4 times this summer, really fun and i still have rides to get on. i'd recommend going on a weekday because lines are very large on weekends
Thanks SO much for this video! I used to go to Schlitterbaun in the early 80s, when it was down the street from Bavarian Village, and right next to Landa Park resorts. The only rides were four chute rides down out of a tall tower, which you rode on slick mats, and a single tube ride, which the video shows exiting into the giant pool. Back then, that pool was a uniform 15 feet deep, and I was not a strong swimmer, so it always scared the crap out of me to tumble into that pool. They've obviously filled it in. The hot-tub area with the bar was also added early on.
Oh, P.S. You mentioned the exit from the tube ride to the Comal being closed. That made me laugh so hard. Dude, the "hillside" tube ride exit into the Comal was closed in the early 80s when I was going there. I think it's *always* been closed, and they just never put up a permanent barricade.
@@bozimmerman Thanks for watching. Hillside exits into the large pool. Raging River is the one that dumps into the Comal. I have taken this plunge into and down the Comal more than once, and others on this thread have stated that it re-opened later that summer (2019).
Omg...I lived in New Braunfels Texas. It was awesome. I remember going to Schlitterbahn. I remember that my favorite part was the pirate ship. I loved the lazy river, but the big gushers that shot water kinda scared me. The black night took forever, and I wound up bailing when I got to the top. New Braunfels was my home. Unfortunately, we moved away from Texas to the middle of the country. I recommend the Dragons one. It's been a while since Texas, but I remember there being a dragon ride.
Went to Schlitterbahn this week and it doesn't seem like Cedar Fair has changed too much thankfully. The tube chute that empties into the Comal river is still technically operable but it requires a lot of staff so they usually keep it closed. I was fortunate enough to experience it opened last year and I really think they should prioritize keeping it open as it was my favorite part of the day. I do also think they are somewhat limiting capacity on the chutes, as I didn't see anything remotely similar to what was shown at 17:35, and I went on a very busy day.
wow I wanna go there just for that dragon!
The dragon's revenge. Ya it fun but the line is sooo long .and there's a lot of bumps so you will possibly break you back .
If the line is started at the bottom when you get to the top line (cuz the line is broke into 2 parts) is a 45 min line to get on the ride. Worth it cuz as you seen you get soaked in line at the top line. So on the nice 100 degree days in TX you stay a little cooled down.
I am 50 and I grew up going to this park. My fav was the drop into the river at the end of the tube shoot. I hope Cedar Fair does not close that down, it made this water park so unique.
now people complain about waterslides being rough? are you serious they not suppose to be butter their waterslides
watersides that are rough can be dangrous there not coasters its way diffarent water slides have to be smooth for many reasons
Thanks for actually explaining the park
My family has gone to schlitterbahn every year since my mom was younger! And I recommend Schlitterbahn for a vacation because every year holds fun and excitement!
I love Schlitterbahn. A good day for fun and relaxation.
4:32 holy shit do they actually play nirvana at schliterbahn?!
As someone who lives near schliterbahn and has a season pass, yea. They play a lot of different music.
I live here and wow this is surreal
I love the lazy river ❤❤❤
Thanks for repping nb Texas
was there 24 years ago and had a ball. im 62 now . can all this excitement still be safe for a senior citizen? I love the lazy river best. its like white water rafting
I think whether it it is safe for a senior citizen would vary from person to person
I worked there and I met a man that was around 60 with his grand daughter so I assume your probably good, I wouldn’t recommend any of the big slides tho
Love the tour and the mention of two parks in one!!
Wait a second... wasn't this in spy kids 3D or am I wrong?
MatchTerm nah ur wrong .
You’re correct! One of the first scenes of the movie sees the main character Juni meeting with a young Selena Gomez in front of Blastenhoff tower. She hires him to find out why all of the water from the park has gone missing
It's been a long time since I seen that movie but pretty sure it was a theme park not a water park
@@r8myers It was actually filmed here at Schlitterbahn.
How do you guys literally see the exact same slides and tower and say nah, cant be that one.
Schlittlebahn is my happy place! 😍
You obviously aren't from Texas by starting with the East section. Sometimes we don't even go to the East section. Schlitterbahn is all about the toob chutes on the original park, or west section and it's just paradise.
Always start with east, the modern fun rides are there and have long lines. Then head over to the west for the thrilling rides
Oh man.... do you know when Conga is supposed to open back up?? That was our favorite ride and we're going to the park tomorrow
I do not know. Let us all know if you get to ride it or not!
The ride is now open! (I work there so I know lol)
@@jayishere5611 same
I just went yesterday to Schlitterbahn and a lot of these rides I didn’t see especially on the Blastenhoff side. I usually see the surf ride but didn’t see it this year. Some rides in the main park that I loved to ride were under construction or disassembled never to be seen again. I hope that’s not the case with what you said about new ownership.
I love this water park my favorite ride is the surfing one and the torment river
Super cool 😎
Awesome review !
I love their buses
I live in New Braunfels!!!! I always get season passes! 3:38 I do also recommend riding with another rider especially if you are particularly small, last time I rode I weighed to little and got stuck in the ride
Great video!! My family and I have been going every yr since I was 2 and im 37 now. So we know that park like the bk of our hand loll
I loved H.E.B too. That was a sick grocery store.
I'm so thankful I have HEB as my grocery store. Their brand for their food/goods is the best and beats all competitors
Luckily I live right there! It’s so fun!
Me too ✌
I live in austin so its about 45 mins away
a unicorns life I live in Austin too!
Thanks man I really need that because we are going tomorrow and we have to leave our home at about 8:00am😳 but i am really excited
Bootleggers Run is really well themed. It’s at Splish Splash in New York
We are heading to this location next week! Do you recommend the Blast Pass's if going on a weekday?
If you are just there for one day and can afford it, I say go for it.
This place looks amazing!
I'm going here for the first time of my life sksk "boring life" and I'm so excited to go with my boyfriend!
I loved it I went to this one 2 years ago and it was so much fun
They did make there own water slides tubes,etc..at a nearby company named NBG which the Henrie family owned ..well when they owned schlitterbahn...but now that company is now defunct..(NBG)That being said I believe cedar fair is ordering everything..I could be wrong but I'm an employee and that s what I've come to see so far..they are planning on many new concepts but probably not till next year since we're barely coming out the pandemic this season..so I'm guessing next year we will see some new stuff..maybe more peanuts/Snoopy advertising like they have in there other parks..But I will say that I really enjoy working for cedar fair.
It feels weird seeing it pop up on my RUclips feed
looks fantastic
When did you visit Schlitterbahn? I went in June 2017 and I was able to take the Raging River into the Comal River and it was my favorite attraction at Schlitterbahn because of how long it was.
You surely do sound like you enjoy the master blaster
I been in Schlitterbahn and its super fun I been in te family pack and black night slides also were there’s waves
Is it still opened?
Yes
Think I’m going to travel just for this lol
Oh no not Cedar Fair! I guess it's all downhill from here haha! I hope they don't repeat what they did to Geauga Lake. You're in Six Flags and SeaWorld's territory now.
I rode the sky coaster and it wasn’t that bad
I really need to know what time you were filing the master blaster, wolf pack, and Black Knight bc that looks very empty compared to how it was this weekend
I went on the last Friday in May and also the first Tuesday in June. It is VERY important to go early in the season to avoid the large crowds.
The Henrys invented the uphill water coaster and the boogiebahn. Dragon Blaster was the first water coaster on earth.
wait where is this
About 30 miles north of San Antonio on I-35.
Can we have a video for the ones in South Padre Island and Corpus Christi?
14:22 Theres ya boi's.
I work at sclitterban in new braunfels as a greeter its awesome
I actually l like the theming of schlitterbahn
You didn't mention how cold the water is.
May plan to do this in summer 2021
They used to build their own rides
Yeah and we all saw how great that went in 2016
Tubing down that river is pretty dangerous I almost drowned in it and I’m a very strong swimmer
I have a Cedar Fair Platinum pass. Does anyone know if the Platinum passholders can use it at this park right now?
Not right now, hopefully next year but there has been no official announcement yet.
@@IntheLoopPodcast ugh that sucks! thanks for the reply. Im headed to Schlitterbahn this weekend for my bday. First time going. Super excited
2:10 Angry Water Park fanatic here. This is true.
Can a 2 year old go down the tube chutes in the west section?
The website doesn't display a minimum height for the tube chutes. I would not personally take a 2 year-old on it though.
Usually the west section tube rides are a minimum of 48" for a rider, but I might be wrong. They probably have height requirements listed on the website.
I went on the balck knight had my eyes closed hole time
I have season passes & stil haven’t done half of the things available!!! There are always Long lines
What about on weekdays?
It's not as bad on weekdays, but it is still busy.
my brother used to work there as a life guard.
Is this still open?! I wanna go !!!
Still open, but doesn’t operate in the winter months
@@IntheLoopPodcast oh cool 😎 thanks
I was literally there yesterday I’m-
I miss working here😢💔
Bro when did u go? It was so dead definitely a time I’d like to go.
TRILL HOUSTON713 i think it was a monday
@@justsomeone4189 Picking a good day to avoid crowds is EXTREMELY important. Try to go early in the summer and avoid Fri and Sat if you can. I filmed this on 5/30 and 6/3 2019.
It looks dead, but it’s anything but during the season , also make NB small again
I dont think any one is worried but is alooottt bigger irl
this guy sounds like a coaster enthusiest reviewing water slides
Yes, that's a fair statement. I have been to most of the largest US water parks at this point though, and I have made tour videos of many of them.
Isn’t this the place where that kid...and the tallest slide... 😕
That was the Kansas City location
someone shit in the water 12:02
You guys should dedicate a whole day to the poor boy who lost his life there. Hope you guys are safer now!!!
The child was killed at the Kansas City Park (now closed) not this park in New Braunfels in the video
@@IntheLoopPodcast thank you for letting me know
Did I also tell you this water park has to much walking in people steal you stuff like your sandals in then what are you supposed to walk in because the sement is 🔥 hot
Buy a locker dumbass
Do you not waste your money on a season pass for 2021. They cut its hours they no longer close at eight they close at 6 PM. In order to get a reservation which are few and far between you have to give your entire information name email phone number season pass information, every time so if I wanna go today and I want to go tomorrow I have to re-enter this information again. Schlitter Bon used to be fun but now they’re only allowing half the amount of people to come into the park, I think they still let somebody who walks up to pay the full price ticket get in and the people that have season tickets are the ones that have to jump through hoops just to get through the front gate. This is wrong until it changes I don’t think anybody should go to Schletterbaun They should close the gates if they are gonna act like this. This is not what I signed up for and it’s not the service I expected when I purchased my tickets. I gave them half star Oh and they won’t give a refund either.
Dang corona virus 😢
ues
Looks tiny compared to Dubai water park
Very large park
Waste of time and money. Not enough staff long lines no organization. Won't ever go back or recommend to anyone
I wish I hadn't read this because I am going there tomorrow and you just made me nervous.
@@mitchellries256 how was it
@@efrenbeltran7545 Well, it was fun, but he was right about lines being long, and it was so big that we ended up needing two days. I do recommend coming here, but be sure to spend one day at each section of the park, and maybe consider Fast Lane because there were a few atrocious lines.
Shliterbahn Galveston is better
I don't get the hype about this waterpark. There are much better themed water parks out there. This place looks very ordinary.
Huh? People generally don't go to water parks for the theming.
@@CoasterRanger Some do. The most visited water parks in the world are themed. This park is overhyped and very basic imo
@@andrewh4855 Maybe go there before you judge it???
@@CoasterRanger 😄
Since I work there, I kind of understand what you mean. Yes I do think that the park just looks plain, but honestly the rides are pretty fun. These parts of the park is totally family entertaining :)
Omg not gonna lie I work there and this is weird to see 😂
Leyna Loz how old do you have to be to work there ?
Ariyonna Ellison 14
Rayden Richter um no it’s 14 for photographers
Leyna Loz Yo same it is pretty weird
Why do you work for a company that decapitates young children without a care?
It’s weird to see this because I come here every day of the summer cause I live in new branfuels
Im so used to this park that every other park seems so tiny
FoldedPlayer7 123 i also live in new branfels
same
if i could come every day would be life changing
I live in San Marcos and I feel the same lol
Gone here three times and I love it! This was my first major water park and probably my only. My favorite ride is either Master Blaster or Dragon’s Revenge. I also love the surf simulator.
This park, Splash town, and Volcano Bay in Orlando are the top 3 water parks in the country in my experience.
Which Splashtown do you speak of? I haven't done Volcano Bay yet.
No more Splashtown.
@@AmtrakProductions How do you know I haven't been to all the water parks? Cope.
Going to San Antonio next month and was on the fence, after seeing this, I must go!
Nathan I just got back from San Antonio yesterday. Definitely check out SFFT (Fiesta Texas) if you can and SWSA. I haven’t made it to SWSA yet.
CoasterCraziness I love them both I live in San Antonio so I’m familiar with these parks
i was there 3 weeks ago. the master blaster is a lot more intense in real life.
I love Schlitterbahn! Quite possibly my favorite place in the whole world!!! lol
My fiancé and I are going next week for the first time!! We didn’t know what to expect so this really helped a lot!!
If some people wonder why the water looks dirty on some of the rides, it's because the original rides used water which was pumped from the river and returned to the river.
I worked at Schlitterbahn like over 8 years ago ( the year the Congo river opened) and it was closed a lot back then too. 🙄😂
Good video
Curious Cornucopia not surprised
I think it has a lot to do with the river level since it dumps into the Comal. At least that is what someone at the park said to me. Could just be Maintaince issues.
@@davidmichael5573 that could be it. I also think since it has animatronics they tend to break down alot.
I remember back in the day they kept shutting it down for that.
Not to mention people stealing things from the ride.
