Very nice motors, most of them wouldn't be any good with speed bumps. Was that first one a mk 1 escort? What you done with your ebike? No videos for 4 months. Busy with other things I imagine.
Unfortunately I had 2 crashes in three months, first one I knocked out my 2 front teeth and had 20 stitches in my lip and broke 2 knuckles, the second one 3 days ago I broke my collar bone so I'll be out of action for at least 8 weeks. Also I'm going to be building a new ebike, there were some design problems with the first.
@@EbikeRyder wow sorry to hear that. Hope you a speedy recovery. I'd better gear up like I'm on a motorbike or move like a novice because my 1500w kit arrives in about a month. If don't mind me asking. How did it happen? What were the design problems?
@@strawman9410thanks mate, first one was totally my fault, took a bend to fast and clipped the wing mirror of a parked car, face planted into the bonnet. Second one a drive hit me because he broke hard and turned without indicating as I was going up the inside of him. I'd fully recommend as much safety gear as you can get, my helmet was split right up the side in the last one, without it , that would have been my skull and I'd probably be dead.
Also the big design mistakes I made were mounting the battery on a rear rack combined with a rear hub motor which put all the weight at the back and high up, making it want to fall over. Definitely go for mid mount battery irrelevant of motor mount for better stability. Upgrade your tyres to puncture proofs, mine are Fincci £55 for pair, and Upgrade brakes as much as possible. If you're using an aluminium frame make sure you use Torque arms to strengthen your drop outs or the torque will destroy the frame fast.
very cool mate
Yeah shame I'm a rookie cameraman, portrait, tut!

Unfortunately got a broken collar bone so gonna be a while until next video but more will come soon.
@@EbikeRyder oh ok well, get well soon and can't wait for the next video
