hey Leth O, I'm planning to go wild camping at South Stradbroke soon, just with a few mates. As I'm really new this camping stuff, I've been being a lot of research on wild camping at Stradbroke, but can't really seem to get any straight answers (it's really turning my head in, lol). Would you be able to help me out here? I'm not to sure where to go, I don't wanna break the law or anything, haha. All the best mate.
Hay bud all good we just camp near the tip of south Stradbroke island but at the bush part not on the sand. You will see other campers there aswell when you go. Have a good one bud maby we will see you there

@@lethosadventures It reminds me of my own situation a few years back. When my boys were young teenagers I used to camp in my boat in Jervis bay. I had a camp cover made and it was like a floating four man tent. We'd camp in the bay looking back at the beach while others camped at the beach looking out to the bay. I had a Quintrex coast runner 460 back then. have since down sized to a 12 foot tinnier again as I live near a nice little river that is better suited to it. Safe travels mate 😄👍

@@lethosadventures Yeh. It’d be awesome. There’s something even more awesome about camping out in the boat. Getting rocked to sleep and the sound of water lapping on the boat too. Your boat would be big enough I think. Like a floating 3 : man tent. I used to take all the seats out of mine and use the eski as the seat to free up space too
@@TropicalZooms yes thanks iv already planned it I’m thinking of just getting a mosquito 🦟 net for it and just laying that over the Bimini and using that as like a tent
Looks like alot of fun. Did you have to book the campsite or is it allowed to just rock up and set up camp there?
We went up north of south Stradbroke island where everyone camps wild. We didn’t have to pay anything it gets a bit busy sometimes up north of the island it’s great 👍 we planning to go up soon again. Great fun

Hi mate, great video! Quick question, we are looking to head to South Straddie this weekend for camping and wanted a get away like this, it's just a boys trip so rather rough it than hang out at a more domestic family site, what section of the island is this and where did you launch from?
hay bud I launched from cabbage tree point boat ramp and where we stayed was near the north tip of south stradbroke island at a place called the bedroom. it on the beach. heres a link im not sure if it will work but its a map of cabbage tree point boat ramp and the bedrooms on south sradbroke Island. we might be headding up there on sunday if you see my boat give us a wave :)

We will head there on Friday and come home Sunday afternoon, will definitely say hi if we see you, my tinny is white with a full blue length bimini on it, likewise if you see us come say g'day! Quite the co-incidence to come across this video, I watched your tinny build one previously as I nearly contacted you to buy it when you were selling it on marketplace when I searched for my current one!

@@lethosadventures Cheers that link worked perfectly, I also spoke to the fella at Cabbage Tree General store and boat hire, he was very helpful. I'm going to look at the weather in the morning before making the call to come down, if it's windy we will go North Straddie in the 4WD instead.
