Omg the patterns are all so CUTE. For the Ganni top - I think you should make both the black and white and the one using multiple of your grandma's sheets! Both would look so classic ❤

M8553 - Gina, this looks to have a 4 panel skirt . Hope so as that would add really nice shape to the skirt! And seal it for me over that Arden dress!
I like the M8553 zip front dress and will definitely be purchasing it when it’s available in a few weeks. I’ve looked at Fabric Godmother’s Aspen dress but I prefer the puff sleeves on M8553 and it seems to be a little longer in the bodice sitting more on the waist. I’m a new sewist and haven’t sewn a McCalls pattern yet. I’d choose your grandma’ striped fabric for your Ganni style top.

Pink strip no colour blocking ..I think one colour would Be very sweet...I do hope you will be doing some see alongside with us ...ill bring Tea ...hugs from
Agreed! On reflection the colour blocking will be too much, lots of sew-alongs coming up of course and the wedding series will be starting in a couple of weeks ❤️
I actually love the floral fabric for your jacket and will definitely look forward to seeing this made up. For the Ganni top, I think the black broderie anglaise would look stunning.

Thank you 😊 it's ME2016 in a leopard cotton sateen fabric! I have a sew-along video all about it with more videos so you can see it better if you're interested. It's one of my favourite makes of all time ❤️

they're all lovely, although I would never wear the last dress, far too revealing. My favourite is the Laura Ashley dress and I will definately be making that before spring

Fun to see. First time here. I'm a bit confused. You said you work for Simplicity, in the UK, yet you showed all McCall's patterns. Huh?
Sorry for the confusion, Simplicity is the name of the company. All of the brands used to be separate but they merged, which is where 'Big 4' came from and are now owned by Simplicity (also known as the Design Group) so that's why it's main website in the US is simplicity.com and they are all under the Simplicity umbrella. Hopefully that makes sense x
I would love to make M8554, but having a big bust (36D/DD), my bust would peek out of that hole and make that dress/me look vulgar. Is there any way to make that pattern without the hole? I would love to see a sewist here on YT make one version of that pattern without the hole so it would be suitable for big-busted women.
I'm sure there must be! I want to make it for a wedding in the Summer so I'll have a look at the pattern pieces, looks like it's cups underneath which would just need to be extended to add coverage ❤️
The last pattern was very ugly ...
It's not everyone's cup of tea but it's definitely not ugly 🙄
