Tell it girl! your kids probably get better grades missing school then kids that don't miss school at all, and the way these schools are now, they are not teaching about much education, they're teaching more about sexuality, on how to become a homosexual and lesbian and same sex marriage, the school system is literally forcing it upon kids now, that has nothing to do with education whatsoever, such as, math, science, English, history, geography ects., like whose child needs to hear and learn of that perverted teachings, learn of that, they will be the last generation of children, because two women can't create a baby and two men cannot birth a child. Same sex cannot procreate. So yeah, take your kids on vacation, however you please, as long as they don't fall behind on schoolwork/homework and keep their grades up, your kids can go on vacation as many times they want. Like you said anywhoo, next.

It was so cool to see the collaboration done with the video games and coming up with the rules together. They were attentive and understanding. Each one came up with an idea and bounced it around.

I can understand the kids needing mental health days. But have you considered Washington DC tour? The Grand Canyon? Yellowstone National Park? Etc… I can see how people think Disney is educational but do you guys talk about it and all the educational aspects? I’m taking my kids out for 2 days later this year for our first trip to Disney world. But I won’t make a habit of it. I want them to see other places as well. There are so many beautiful places to take them to. Maybe expand your horizons 😊
Im not far from DC and i really thought by now one of these vlogger families would visit a national park lesser known like Gettysburg.
I took my 3 kids out of school to go to Disney for a whole week. They brought their homework for the week and did it in the evening. Worked out great (that was in the late '80s . Then in the late '90s we did it again. Worth every minute of it !!!!
I did too my kids go to a private school i pay i took them out a whole week for Disney and its something they will never forget
I'm in the UK and also in the late 90s my parents would take us out of school for Disney over my birthday coz November wasn't as busy as the summer. The school was fine with it, now they fine you here. If the school doesn't mind and the parent can help the children with what they may have missed I personally don't see an issue
I don't know if this is to the comment I seen but I seen one asking how your kids' school allow you to take them out for trips without there being an issue. You could've been more nice about answering though. You made it sound like you're better because you can do this and do that with them while most people can't. I think it's awesome you can do that but at the same time it doesn't mean make people feel horrible for not being able to do that.

I take my kids out of school for random “mental health days”, kids , just like adults, get burned out and overwhelmed and I believe for their well being that it’s important to take time for them to relax . Life is hard for kids these days , they need breaks !

I’m not sure if it works the same way in the US but kids have school holidays on average every 6 weeks, doesn’t matter if it’s a national holiday or not. Kids shouldn’t need breaks more often then that. How is that in any way setting them up for life in the real world?

I ordered a casetify case with your code and was a little disappointed. The pattern on my case started chipping off within 2 months. For the price I would think the quality would be better. Also be prepared for about a month ship time. Bummer cause they really do have cute options but I think I'll be getting a longer lasting case next time.
The convo with the boys was the most relatable about having kids who can get sucked into games but us moms wanting to want more for themselves!

I wrote a “game time “ contract up with my kids. Just 3 simple rules, which they have to abide too.
I also set a timer for an hour that gives a 30 min count down.

First of all I agree thats silly to say something about missing school but you explained that it's not hurting their school work or anything so it doesn't matter. But the part that is honestly carelessly to say is that someone is "jealous". You don't know that some people cannot AFFORD nice trips like that, maybe some people probably don't live in the same places you do, work the same "job" as you, nor even have access to the internet. Might or might not even have children, people are still hurting to stay in their homes or car working full time, or part time, depending on the system, can't work because of disability, people take some things for granted and you saying that she's jealous is so nasty and ugly for you to assume that. Yes some would LOVE to be able to do those amazing things for our kids but that's just not always the case. Please don't rub that in ones face. Shame on you. It's not a pleasing look.

I bought a casetify case and four months after I got it I dropped my phone out of my back pocket and the case full on fell apart. I emailed casetify and they said there was nothing they could do. I was highly disappointed by my experience and I will definitely not order from them again.
The same thing happens to my kids with games! Good to know it’s not just me.

I'm assuming it's different for each kid- she said attitudes of the boys changed when they are on the games to long, so if Lilis doesn't, there's no need to limit if she can herself.

My question for all of this. Do you not receive a letter from the state saying your child has missed too much throughout the year?Because I know my parents received one once in Louisiana when I had missed just a few days of school. And then they would take my parents to court for missing too much school. I know every state is different but I’m honestly curious, not hating.

I'm a teacher and i find that students or kids do better when I set a timer it gives them a warning to finish up their game or come to a stopping point! I am sure you have tried that but just thought I'd share!

my mom had a business and we would be pulled out of school early either thursday or friday EVERY WEEKEND to go and sell her items out of state and i still graduated in 2020 with straight A's. TAKE THE KIDS TO SEE THINGS THAT THEY MIGHT ONLY SEE ONCE. I have so many memories with my mom on those weekends before she passed away in sep of last year, I am forever grateful that my parents let me go on the adventures with them.

I think its more of the parents who get cps called on them for their kids missing too much school when they are literally sick but people taking vacations 8 times in the school year are all fine and dandy.
I took my kids out of public school for many reasons, but that being one as my son was always sick (from parents being too afraid to keep their kids home and sending them to school sick) and missing too many days.
There’s a difference between public schools and private schools. Hers are in a private school. And if you have a doctors note the absence doesn’t count

I was on marching band my junior and senior year of high school and we went to Disney my first year to perform and Boston my second year. In November 202 for Thanksgiving was our first official family vacation when we went to Florida for a week. And last year before I dropped out of college, my work study took me to Nashville for a week because I worked with high school students.
And your kids really appreciate the trips n have the most fun. Y'all work hard n play hard and None of your kids are even Slightly spoiled so you as a mom have good balance. Your family is Awesome. Hate the haters and LOVE what you said to them!
Growing up my parents took us out of school on Fridays almost every week until we were in high school. We’d work on our assignments with our parents on the ride to Mammoth and then ski for the weekend. We’d then turn in the work on Monday. The school never complained as we always completed the work and actually did better on tests and had a much more comprehensive understanding of the material because of the “homeschooling” we got on Fridays. A lot of their friends did the same with their kids, with the same result, and we all loved those weekends. It was so much more valuable, for so many reasons, than sitting in a classroom Friday afternoon thinking about nothing more than when we could get out of there and start the weekend.
I always say that adults can take days off of work so why can’t kids miss a few days. As long as parents can help keep them on track it’s not that big of a deal!

as someone who played games as a child and still as an adult, give them notice before ending their game time, 20 mins or so and if theyre not finished, let them finish the game or get to a save point then end game time. some games cant be paused and it is so annoying when you get forced to quit mid game especially if they play anything in competitive mode (fortnite, online games etc) as you get penalized for leaving early and can be banned from the game!
I don't want to be a party pooper, but just because the phones don't break visibly doesn't mean they don't get damaged inside..those phones are super sensitive.

Jess at this point you all might as well just homeschool your children 😅 You can supplement their education with virtual tutors or teachers, continue their extracurricular activities , and for more socialization you could join a homeschool pod/group.

Those comments were directed to the specific people that spew hate and lies towards her. So unless you're doing that those comments weren't directed at you and has nothing to do with you. I'm not going on trips as often as her ether but I didn't take that comment personally because I'm not one of the once who leave her rude comments
One thing you could try if they do have a full hour to play on their video game system s is set a timer so they know exactly how much time is left. This way they can choose to play a new round of the game or just start to wrap up the game. This way they can in their minds think about making the right choice and attitude.

I did this with messy activity (I can’t handle it and my kids know this they usually experience it at school only) so over the holidays we made a plan and rules and when the rules were broken I followed through with the plan, it went well in the sense that there were no tantrums when I followed through

Just a suggestion with the games. I think for a lot fo kids the frustration with a hard time limit is that they might be in the middle of a came and lose progress they've worked hard towards if they have to shut of right away. My son is only two but my husband and I realized this is what had happened with our now-adult step son, and have already talked about what we will probably do differently with our son when he is older. Depending on how long a game takes or how long it takes to get to a save point, he will get a "last game" warning or "at the next save point it is time to be done." That might mean his time is cut a little short or goes a little over, but will hopefully average around whatever limit we set, but he won't lose progress.
Y’all have to realize just cause we are in the same country don’t mean everything runs the same California it self runs on it’s own beat anyways. Schools differ from state to state as far as the rules and it matters wether it’s a charter or private or even catholic they are not all the same state to state. School where I live you can’t miss 10 days in one school year or cps gets called so you never know what’s going on where someone is.

I am so happy for you that you got invited to go to the Disneyland celebration! I have been since they decorated Disneyland and it is so pretty!
We take our kids out of school for 2 weeks to go the Disney world every year! And they are all doing more than fine at school and have incredible life experiences of travelling to the other side of the world ❤ we have 11 kids and we completely understand the balance between making sure they are keeping up academically and real world experiences.
Family trips growing up were absolutely amazing. You can always make up the work. We always figured out how to miss the least amount of school possible and took any work with us to do in the evening. My brother is in middle school and we're about to take a 2 week trip and he's only missing 6 days. As long as we kept up grades and finished our work we got to go on AMAZING vacations and make great memories together. Don't listen to what others have to say, those experiences and memories will last your kids a lifetime and those few days your kids miss in school would be completely unmemorable. Ps y'all do realize schools teach to prepare you for tests now right? Like you memorize facts, test on them, and then forget all of the information to make room for the next test. Traveling and experiencing new things is going to be WAY more worth it to those kids js

I heard that under 13 and 13 and older arent allowed to get phones anymore. If u dont beleive me look it up. its on the news website.
That is a proposed thing from a busy body in one state only. The law makers said it was over stepping what are parent rights and their children. Are you over 13 so you can't have a phone. If it was 13 and older no one can have a phone even 100 year olds. Do you have a phone and you are not allowed because you are over 13.

My little brother plays video games allllll dayyy! He wakes up in the morning and gets right on he doesn’t even do school!(im homeschooled) at one point we had to hide the controllers from him. It fr changes your attitude!
Speaking of how great Casetify’s cases are, so recently we had a power outage & I was using my phone as a flashlight to refill my wood stove. Well as I went to throw in a piece of wood, in went my cellphone too 😩 my phone survived!!!! Thankfully it was only coals in there but still. It could have been a total loss lol just the outer rubber pieces melted a tiny bit in some spots but the case itself survived, not a mark on the back piece at all🤦🏻♀️
I went to the Harlem globetrotters when I was like 7 and I’m 17 now and I have the signed basketball and they are still on there. But you aren’t supposed to play with them because of the signatures if you want them to stay….
Yes, they are your kids & it’s your choice what to do with them. However, you have to understand other parents questions and concerns. In my school system, for example, our students are only allowed 10 absences a year.. after that we start getting letters about our kids being held back or us parents going to court about it. So wondering how your able to do it IMO is a valid question. With that being said, people shouldn’t be leaving hateful comments bc it’s not their business & anyone who actually watches your channel knows how much you love your kids.
Side note: yes, I’m a little jealous of all the trips you get to take 😅 I’m lucky to go on two trips a year to the beach for a few days lol. My hubby & I work alllll the time but still can’t manage to afford trips like that & will probably never be able to afford Disney trips. I am truly am glad you & your kids get to make all these amazing memories though. Keep on doing you Jesss. ❤️

I really just want to point out how much you and your family have in common with me and mine, we both live in sacramento, I have 6 siblings so a total of 7 kids in my family!!, Lilia is the SAME age as me.
One of the few things we dont have in common is that you go to Disney alot… ive been once.
Jess you shouldn’t have to explain about taking YOUR kids out of school. It’s not anyone else’s business. They are all clearly happy and doing well. Love your videos ❤
The out of school comments could be a culture thing as well as jealousy. Here in the UK laws in place mean parents are actually fined if they take children on holiday in school time. It doesn’t matter if the child has 100% attendance up to that date and is a straight A student parents still receive the fine. However as holiday prices during school breaks is so much more expensive than booking the same holiday during term time, many still simply pay the fine as it is actually cheaper than sticking to the laws.

If you put expo marker over permanent marker it will come off that's the reason why it's fading expo marker over permanent marker is perfect for when kids drawn something with permanent marker just trace it over with an expo marker and it should be all gone I don't know if it works is all permanent markers I've only tried it with sharpie
Totally agree with you that games are great to an extent. You are an amazing mom sitting down and explaining your thinking and concerns. I give you credit for limiting the game time and giving them a healthy mix of both.

I wish we could take our kids out for trips. In the UK we get penalised and fined if we do
I never got to go on trips during school, so make those memories while you can! ☺️ The conversation with the boys remind me of all the conversations I’ve had! 😂😂
Jess I wore my brother’s Vr when I was having a sleepover with my friend last week on June 29 then I got dizzy afterwards
