- Hi Guys.
In this video I will show you how to draw realistic lips. I will also show you how to draw both female and male lips. I am starting with the female lips - they are just the best for practising because they are so filled with gorgeousness. LOL. I am showing you how to sketch the outlines, draw and blend the shades and making sure the hightlights are keeping the drawing realistic. Drawing lips will of course help you when you draw portraits and people.

It's very individual, so there is no correct answer. So, it depends on who/what you are drawing! :) Use a reference picture

Nina you are quite good and thorough in your tutorials. If I may ask, what do you think is the #1 barrier to breaking through to that next level in making a drawing more realistic? Would you say :
A. Impatience
B. Lack of practice
C. Using the wrong technique or
pencil lead.

I really love your amazing work , your clean style and your super sweet cat .❤ BTW, I have an extra soft black pencil from cretacolor witch is like yours, but I can t sharp it with a classic sharpener . Can U tell me please how did u obtain that lovely sharped pencil, please . I was thinking of trying with a knife and then the classic sharpener I already have ..
Hi Maria! Thank you so much! It is a challenge to sharpen soft pencils. Make sure that your sharpener is good, sometimes you cant notice that its time to change it. Or otherwise sharpen the pencil as much as you can and use a sand paper to do the tip of your pencil. Or yes, you can try a knife too, but only for the tip of the pencil as well. Hope, you'll fix this problem!

Love all your videos!!! Very informative and helpful. The black pencil you are using is that a basic black graphite pencil, a black colored pencil or something special of a black pencil? I can't seem to find a true deep black pencil, graphite or otherwise that I can use for pupils and real dark areas. I have use charcoal however, I would prefer non-charcoal.

You buy it like that. If you want a sharp edge you can cut a normal eraser or use a kneadable eraser ✍🏻✏️❤️

Just make them thinner and use a reference photo :)
