  • Welcome back, to day 8 of our 14 day journey!
    Today we learn a new trick called the southpaw. This trick adds a ton of visual flare and feels great to perform. I consider this to be an essential skill in any jumpers arsenal of moves.
    Hear the rope. Feel the rope. See the rope.
    Most importantly, remember to have fun! There are no wrong answers.
    Let me know how you did in the comments below!

    Jumping rope isn't a usual exercise. I like the fact that it's about linking my mind with my wrists and my legs movement.

    Day 8 completed! 🥳👍🏻 I love your 14 days program. I don‘t do it in 2 weeks. That would be too much. Some units I do twice. And I need rest days in between. So for me it’s more like a 14 weeks program. 😅

    Great tutorial. I look forward to trying your tips to help me not end up with the tangling I keep seeing. Lead arm behind the body and don't allow the hands to come too close to one another. Got it!

      Hello, friend! 😄 I do not have a southpaw double under tutorial yet--but that sounds like a fun one to put together. I'll put this at the top of my "to film" list! :)

    What's the difference btwn a side swing and a southpaw. Can't tell them apart

    • @Forte.Athletics
      @Forte.Athletics  3 года назад

      A southpaw is technically just one side swing followed by an open swing. It’s pretty much a side swing 🤪

  • @donothellodereal2591
    @donothellodereal2591 2 года назад

    When im trying this in my non-dominant hand i just keep on doing the side swipe, I cannot do the southpaw on my left which makes me anggryryyyrryr.

      I feel you-the learning process can be frustrating at times! As you practice, just remember to cross your wrists when you perform the southpaw on either side of the body. Make sure the moving arm crosses over the stationary arm! 👍🏼 you got this, my friend! 🙌🏼
