    I lived in Germany for 2 years. When I left, I decided to make myself a souvenir gift and bought this watch in Nuremberg. They’re great. Titanium is very comfortable, in winter it does not cool like steel. The instructions say that synchronization should be carried out under the bright sun in open space. I was sitting in the back of the room, the window was 5 meters from the sofa. I directed the light from the table lamp to the watch and the clock immediately connected to the satellite and adjusted the time. This is the second time my father and I traveled by car. We moved to a country with a different time zone and on the move at a speed of 100 km/h I pressed the bottom button and the clock connected to 8 satellites and changed the time. I was impressed. Very technological, tactile comfortable and the weight of this watch is small.

    Good watch while it lasts, There is no company in South Africa that can repair it. Any maintenance must be done overseas at an exorbitant price, keep that in mind when buying.

    I got the DLC /black one, really beautiful, the crystal is superb,zero reflections and the lume is fantastic. Worth the price,nahhh,but i love it. I would say this watch should be no more than £750 for what it is

    I got the sbxy061. Same case shape and dial texture but radio controlled solar movement. It gets rid of the little subdial and the 2 side pushers. A cleaner look but unfortunately you lose the gps functionality

      Agreed that a cleaner more symmetrical dial would make these Astron GPS models appealing to even more people.

    It would be amazing if the camera had a zoom . Might as well as put it on the other side of the room.

    One downside of a watch like this is that the time zone information does get stale, countries and regions change time zones and the dates that daylight saving time starts and ends on a regular basis, so over time you may have to override the automatically selected time zone on some places on this planet. It would be nice if Seiko added a way to update the time zone information, like my $300 Garmin does. It's still a very cool watch.

    Please help, I am about to sell my Astron because I simply cannot understand how the watch does it’s daily time adjustment automatically. I feel stupid walking around outside under the open sky waiting for it to happen. I have read the instructions. I’m tired of holding the button down to make it happen.

      Hi go outside in sun. Stand still. Press /hold the lower pusher for 3 seconds. It should then begin to set time. May take up to 60seconds. Keep face still pointing to the sky.

      No, but it does track the full calendar date internally and you don't need to adjust the date.

    Beautiful watch, but the price is ridiculous for what it is. If you want it for the looks better to just save up for a defy skyline imo or go the opposite direction and get a casio edifice

      Honestly, I can't say when wearing it I feel like it is an under $2,000 watch. The case, bracelet, and dial quality alone do it for me. Add the GPS movement and you have something techie and uncommon too.

    just buy a accurate watch. then you have never to update time...quartz is a second off a year or something... just a useless gadget... for 2K there are much more exclusive watches to buy.. like a entry level rolex no date. ohhh yeah i hate the Royal Aok imitation af the casing... Personally, I disdain the imitation of the Royal Oak casing - designers should strive for originality.

    • @urbanstreet_4282
      @urbanstreet_4282 3 месяца назад

      Are you stupid? You talk about buying an accurate watch and then suggest a mechanical rolex xDD?? A mechanical watch will never be able to hold a candle to a quartz in terms of accuracy (no matter how expensive the watch is). The Astron in particular is hard to beat in terms of accuracy, as it corrects the time daily. The statement that this is a useless gadget is also complete nonsense. Mechanical watches need to be adjusted once a week. Someone who is interested in the Astron is unlikely to want to do this.
