In Fallout 4 a terminal in a Red Rocket says a guy showed up with an "old fashioned" petrol engined motorcycle looking for repairs so yeah petrol power was still a thing.
I was at the site a few days ago and uploaded some footage. That supermarket was abandoned for some time so it made sense they would film there. I use to pass by that supermarket for work last year and thought Fallout. I didn't even dream they would actually do a show, let alone use that specific place as a film shoot.
Thank you for making this video. I had completely forgot about the Fallout Movie. Fingers crossed, it does the Fallout Series justice. Thanks again. for the video, I'll be waiting for the next update.
If you notice that one super rusted out vehicle has armor playing over the wheels. I would imagine that was a post bombs drop modification. Assuming that's the case it could be a vehicle driven by characters in the show 🤔
Possibly that's an interesting detail it could be from before also though based lore describing all the instability of America before the bombs it'd also make sense for trucks moving goods and anyone that could afford it to have more protection being sold to them by whatever shady company they have in the fallout universe.
You keep talking about a desert type setting, however without infrastructure and maintenance many places would collect mounds of dirt. When no one is cleaning the mess will remain
Yeah can agree from experience even if You live in a city. We had dust storms as a kid from nearby and distant deserts and Plains and the dirt got into everything and was everywhere stuck around for a good while and I would imagine without maintainince or clean up it would've stayed for good not even mentioning what nukes would do.
I’m quite skeptical so far as we haven’t got much on the show so far, but as was somewhat mentioned in the video the amount of unexplored areas of the fallout universe leaves a lot of fun things for the show to deal with.
I don't remember any petrol cars in either Fallout 3, 4 or 76. Think it would much more true to the spirit of the lore if these were fusion powered. Maybe and hopefully there's a green screen situation going on to make them a tad more Fallout inspired when filming is actually done.
My guess is that the design style would be much the same either way. The fusion cars in the games definitely have plenty of space for a traditional engine.
@@DarthXionGames Not sure there. The fusion cars in the game have 40s and 50s design traits, but they're just enough to convince the user that there's that design ethos behind it. Otherwise they look streamlined and quite futuristic. The mesh of those 2 things is Fallout, be it in cars or in the other 50s inspired things in the game. These set cars don't really have anything like that going on. So to me, this is either what's possible, given budget constraints, or the show takes place in earlier years, which would never make sense of course. I would much rather have them look more like what's generally on Fallout, rather than this. I'm hopeful they'll be processed with green screen, though. If not, i'll appreciate it all the same. But i'd say it's an important detail to get right to have a real Fallout immersive experience, be it in cars but also in other things.
I’d love to see characters riding a motorcycle the lone wonderer even some scenes in a garage working on cars motorcycles power armor that would be SO COOL!!!!!!
Tbh, as much as they make sense I doubt we'll see functional vehicles unless they're vertibirds. Something like the Prydwin is a possibility I suppose too. I'd be astonished if power armour doesn't feature though.
@@bossman7278 the orginal fallout games featured a functional car and they're mentioned in the game as well as WIP vehicles in game around where raiders are too.
I really hope this show isn't crap! I've seen too many IPs get butchered by tv shows recently (Star Trek, Star Wars, Halo, Resident Evil etc), but the Fallout 'universe' is just so ripe for a good tv adaptation! They can't screw this up, surely???

The army jeeps in fallout76 or gas powered because muffler on the driver’s side and one of the tractors if I’m not mistaken

This is awesome I hope the vehicles are kept after words
That's a 50 to 54 Cadillac series 62 sedan, and a very rare 1952 DeSoto limousine.
Dogmeat has to be in the show he’s a huge part of the fallout series!!!!!!
Looks like he will be in it!
awesome vid Darth, please keep us up to date with developments
Definitely going to be keeping an eye out for everything I can! 😁

One of the trucks does look like it's been armoured by raiders or something so who knows?

There are references to them in FO4, and in 76. Not many, but they're there. 😎
@@DarthXionGames Fair enough. I just think the other ones would look a lot more "fallouty".

@@sketch-R not sure what you are saying .fallout4 i think is 200 years after the war, and 76 is 20 years after the war. You have a great week mate.

I was really hoping they were going to remake the cars from the games.
Looks like they've come respectably close to me. 😎
amazon will screw it up
I don't have alot of faith with modern Hollywood. But the 90s movie script was also awful.
