Feeling scared yet? What did you think of our list? In the video we asked what survival horror game did you play first? Matt: For me it actually wasn't on a Nintendo console. I guess Nintendo hasn't had much of a history of horror titles in the past but that's changing a lot with the Switch. The game that started it for me was Silent Hill 3 on the PS2. Still one of my favourites too. But how about you?
Darkwood is a real definition of horror survival. I always get goosebumps on this game especially during nightime. The other ones Are too overrated and ain't that scary as darkwood. Little Nightmares 2 is also a good horror "little" game 😊
Darkwood is so underrated. I've played it a lot and it's really great. I really love how salvaging and inventory management plays a big roll on your survival. I also love the unique way how you vision works, you can hear everything close to you but can only see what's in the line of sight from your front. I wish there were more survival horror games like it. Games like this proves that it's not all about the graphics. For those who are intrigued, I would suggest watching Markiplier's gameplay video for this one.
Yeah I've played outlast and the whistle blower DLC and outlast 2 on switch, scared the fuck outta me plenty of times, great replay value during Halloween too
@@matthewcurley7911 I think there's a 3rd one coming. Man, that first game with those jump scares would literally make my left arm numb. Not sure how good that is!
This is the first video I've found that lines up the Switch Survival Horror games available perfectly. Great video! I'll be working my way through the list 🙂👍
Watching your list it occurred to me: If Nintendo can get RE4 running on the Switch, there should be ABSOLUTELY NO REASON that SILENT HILL 2 can't be ported over... of course there is that one HUGE problem with that...KONAMI! d>_0b
It's got to be Resident Evil 1 on the Playstation 1. Made worse by the fact that my parents neglected to buy a memory card so dying meant restarting the whole game :(
The only of the list thst I don't heard about is The Park, need to check it out. The game looks very gliched, but, if someone see Welcome to Hanwell in promotion, check it out, I think is one of closest things we have for a Silent Hill on Switch
I'd have Alien Isolation in the top 10. No game does tension like that one. And it has to be just about the most impressive port on the switch I've played yet for matching both visuals and performance to the original.
@@andre785 I wouldn't hold out on a big discount but it does manage to go on sale. Just not frequently. I think it drops to $25 or so every now and then.

Resident Evil on PS1 was my first survival horror game. Then Silent Hill and everything since... 😝
Silent Hill 3 scared the bejeesus out of me as a teenager... I think it's still one of the most oppressively scary games ever made
Don't try and hack your friends Instagram account, that shit is a scam... never mind illegal
Amnesia the dark decent

These lists are really not helpful

Omg poor kid 😢 Memory cards were crucial back in the day
Outlast is the scariest game I’ve ever played

Very helpful information. Also, it could be even more so if you add the MC score. Thanks anyway.
Stories untold is from the same makers of observer.
Love them both.
First horror game I played was fatal frame 2 Xbox

I'm really excited to get that one, but waiting on a big discount since its pretty pricey.

@@adamdavis1737 the biggest discount I saw was 30%. If it ever gets to at least 50%, I'll definitely get it.

It kinda did feel like a survival horror-ish game. Very different from all other doom games.
