Wow! Great cells of different sizes and again the colors are absolutely awesome together. This painting is dancing all around on the canvas and it all fits and flows together. I think it's very cool and dried just great. 💙
Thanks, Paige. I'm not sure how many more of these I can crank out, but I know I have at least one more in the wings. Thank goodness I picked a color palette that I'm very fond of...because I'm STILL tired of it. Imagine if I'd done the first one with an ugly palette! YIKES!!
Thanks, Teri! I loooooooooove flip cups! Honestly, some people think they're "basic" or "simple"...I'll tell you what though, when nothing else is working, when my world goes pear-shaped, I'll do a flip cup every time...they ground me, and I just think they're fun! I can still sorta see the straight pour in this one, but some of these oils just fragment the lines! Wild.
I love the cells on this one!! I usually use 1 drop per colour and don't get the residue. It's beautiful. Seems to flow so much more smoothy. Me likey!! I can't pick a favourite anymore, too many but I still love that #1 for some reason. This one is really beautiful, of course I said that about the last one so.....I hate too much choice. Great experiments though, thanks!! ❤❤❤
Thanks, Joey! I had to use 3 drops, because that's what I've used with all of the oils. I like them all for different reasons! It's fun to have them to compare, but yeah, I really NEEDED a bunch more paintings...NOT! LOL!!
Great experiment, Kelly! The comparison is so interesting and helpful. Did you torch every painting? Way back when that how you made the cells grow. Just a little FYI... the best cells I've seen from oil is from using glue in the pouring medium. You probably have already tried it, but I thought I'd mention it. You got it all in this experiment 😊🎄❄️🎄❄️🎄 Merry Christmas, Kelly
Thanks, Tera! Yeah, I torch everything unless it's made with housepaint. I find that torching is mandatory for flip cup cells (probably because it's a smallish/deepish puddle), but because the "puddle" spreads more readily with non-flip-cups, the oil can make its way out better. I don't dig glue very much as a general rule, and can make cells with my regular gel gloss pouring medium juuuuuuust fine. Different things work better for different people, though! Merry Christmas to you, as well!
How ya’ doin’..uh! Lol. When I tilt, I like to bring it back to the middle too…. But if I detest the middle? all bets are of😂. Love the look of this Kelly❤ Beautiful. Number 2 and 3 are my favorites I think? All are beautiful though. Merry Christmas🎄
I don't mind the cleaning so much as long as it's 16x20 or smaller...any bigger than that, NO THANK YOU! I love to play with oils...like...these experiments are fun...they scratch my experimental itch.
Amazing pouring experiment with a definitely extraordinary outcome. Many thanks for sharing your experiences and knowledge Kelly👍🏻⭐️🎄⭐️🎄⭐️🎄😘
Thank you, Friedo! I enjoy seeing the differences in the cells/lines/composition from one oil to the other. Hopefully they'll be helpful for people!
Wow!!! This one! So beautiful, so cool... it's so different!! ❤
Thanks, Sis! It's a fun series of experiments...that I think I'm almost at the end of...Praise the Lard!! 😜

Thank you, Raven! I really like this one...it's just so fluid lookin'...and those little lightning strikes captivate my eyeballs!
Good oil for getting cells.. I like this one and the citruscell..Me and Sting use this stuff on our hair too!🌟👱♀️
Indeed. Multi-purpose oil!
Very informative and interesting! Beautiful results!

The oil gave this such a cool look!! Nice seeing the different oils lined up at the end. The one from today is so different than the others.
Thanks, Auggo! Each oil does something different...kinda cool, eh? I never realized how differently they all react!
Really pretty Kelly! 💙💜
Thank you, Paula! I'm astounded at how differently they all react. Good ole oils...something different with each one.
This one almost looks like a flip cup. Very cool though❤❤

@feralart22 yeah, I think flip cups are fun. With or without the oils

I used this oil when I first started and it turned me off bc of the cleaning. But I have to admit I was so excited to get cells then.
