I'm running out of superlatives to describe the realism of your paintings. So, I'll just say........amazing! On a side note, my style of painting is more impressionistic but I sure do enjoy watching your videos. As always, thank you for sharing your talent with us.
I'm from the states... and I adore you! My lord I could listen to you talk for hours..HOWEVER..you have taught me sooooo much.. and I'm so grateful for your videos
I watch your videos because they are so informative but also helps me relax. I have used your tips in my own paintings and they make such a difference. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with us.
I learned a lot from you. I always searched some tips and I found the solution from you. And also the lectures. My sister was asking me to paint a family tree. And I put some Japanese tree. And she said there must be a background. So I draw some drafting. Its a japanese garden. And trees from far in a distance I've got from you. Your techniques help me a lot. Now I am painting a tree that lookslike real. And I found you. I have only problem using paint when painting distance. Sometimes I paint all clear color but I found its must be faded. When you pour the water, my imagination was you pour me a water in me. Its a joke. I was smiling here. Thanks Michael.
Painting and choice(s) of music terrific. I missed your videos for awhile but am very pleased to again be able to enjoy watching you produce beautiful paintings.
Like always, when i watch one of your videos, im half way down the road to throw away my brushes and search another hobby. But you also made me want to be a better painter...its funny how this works. Very nice picture, it is harmonic but it is not boring. One could imagine to hike on the side of the river, or have a nice picknick in the shades of the great tree. Your pictures are story tellers, thats how i see them.
Ummm.. was feeling bit blah but now I'm walking into the world you created and it's a lovely place to be. thank you for sharing your art....heart. I aspire to do even a tenth of what you can do. I wish an entire wall in my livingrm was that scene.💖
@@debbielynn7881 you're most welcome Debbie, you should also check out kevin hill. He is a bit like a young version of Bob Ross in his calm manner, but better at painting. Not hyperealistic though like Michael here. Hope you have a better day tomorrow.
Nickhead87 While technically you are correct.. artistically to recreate ..not an easy feat. I cannot do that perfectly... and I paint. So it is creative in paint.. in attempt... and in his perfect touches. 😉
I'm working on a painting with pink trees like crepe myrtles and this really helped. Of course, the colors are different but how to lay in the foliage is what I was looking for help on. Your painting skills are AMAZING!
Loved the playful intro to this video. Thank you for this painting demonstration (and all of them for that matter). Thoroughly enjoy your videos. Your art is absolute perfection.
wouah super réaliste !! merci pour cette technique , je ne comprends pas pourquoi vous avez des personnes qui n'aiment pas !!!! c'est vraiment magnifique!!

Hi Michael, i m glad to see your painting i really enjoy it a lot! This lesson was like psychological medicine for me and also i learn some tips! Thanks for this and i hope to see you soon!
Great lesson!I'm about yo paint acrylic trees and will try, very carefully,do use your method.Your videos are the best and only wish I knew as much about painting,as you might have forgot.🤣Great work MJS.
I think I now know why I've had so many problems with my scenic paintings. Just my luck, I'm a coffee drinker! In all seriousness, thanks for another inspirational painting lesson Michael.
Your paintings are like magic ! Superb ! I've just bought the set of brushes that you are using, from Rosemary & Co and I will give it a try although I'm not a painter, for me is just a hobby :-)
I want to use acrylics for whole of my paintings, just because acrylics paint is what mainly have in my collection of colours. Can’t afford both sadly. But, Im thinking to use retarder in the detailing and still use the blocking in method for the base as explained here. Because it really, really does help prepare your composition in your mind and it helps me develop my painting as I go. Acrylic dries very quickly without the retarder of course, but with retarder does give me about an hour for each section on the canvas. Loving this style, as I don’t need tons Of colours out on the canvas at one go. Just the colours used for the sections being worked. Doing it Way also I found lifts my layers out more and gives me or depth. WOW thank you for your help. I love this style.
You Michael can see through the tree to the limbs on the far side and imagine them as you paint. Not just putting dots on canvas but feeling the tree as you paint
Great cuppa, exactly the tool I use also, ha-ha. Problem my tea cools too quickly or is it get too concentrated in my painting time passes by too quickly. Anyway that’s what my husband says.
you're what I call the master of landscapes bc I've watched 100 or more videos of various artists and yours are always the most incredible .
The way you paint foliage never ceases to amaze me. Such fine minute details, really brilliant. Thanks for sharing.
It's amazing how realistic your paintings look. I would love to see you paint a flower garden or a field of flowers with trees.
