How to keep your mini schnauzer's beard unstained

- Staining is a common problem in a bearded breed like the schnauzer. Whisky, Shadow & Homer had stained beards at one time too, but thanks to a priceless grooming tip from our friend, Mary (TheShopgirl2000a) , we were able to restore the whiteness back to their trademark beards. :)
Thank you, Mary!

So cute how he lays down for you to dry the hair. Too cute!
+cacatuatua Thank you! I thought the way Whisky always flops down for her is very cute.
Amazing! How did you manage to lay down to be dryed?🌺
I'm floored! Good tip with the cool air, I'm going to try that.
We went short beard and never looked back. My mini looked adorable with a puppy cut. Your three were lovely and I'm enjoying your videos, thanks!
Agree the short beard looks very adorable as well. A teddy bear look! 🥰
Thanks for the compliment & for enjoying their videos! 😊
@@kidowmer I lost my guy just over a year ago at almost 14, I miss him so much. I started watching Schnauzer videos, and of course yours came up. Your trio were quite the characters and your trick videos are amazing! Well done! 👍 I've also watched quite a few of your recent videos, you have a keen eye. Thanks for those too.
@kittycuddler5973 I'm so sorry for your loss. Having lost my trio over the years, I fully empathize with your pain.
There is a saying that dogs only fault is that their lives are so short..😪
I hope the sweet memories your beloved schnauzer left you will comfort you always 🙏
Thank you for all your generous compliments & for letting me know you enjoyed watching my trio's videos. It truly means a lot to me that their memories continued to be enjoyed by others.
Thank you again for watching & for your lovely comments 😊
@@kidowmer Thanks for your kind words. I can't imagine not only having three Schnauzers but then the emptiness after their loss. Good thing you captured so many memories. 👍
I have quite a few videos and tons of pictures of my guy, that and the few Schnauzer channels I watch definitely help. I wish I had seen your trick videos when Rosco was still alive, I would have tried a few. His favourite trick in his later years was 'find it' where I'd hide a few treats for his nose to seek out.
For now I'll look forward to your nature breaks and slowly catch up on all the other videos that pop up.❤ 🐦
The ' find it' game is neat! I played that game with my trio too! They would stay behind the baby gate, & then upon release, would excitedly go hunting with their noses to the ground. Love their antenna-wagging tails when they found one!😂
Very happy for you that you too, have lots of preserved digital memories of your dear Rosco!
And thank you so much for sharing about your beloved companion ❤@@kittycuddler5973
Your schnauzers are so cute, they tolerate bath time and drying time quite well.
They're the best dogs~ so glad to see yours are so loved!
Thank you so much for appreciating! Yes, I love my trio with all my heart. They mean the world to me. :)
This has to be one of the cutest videos ever! I can tell how much you love for your dogs. I have had Schnauzers for years and have never been able to keep their beards as white as your guys. I've done everything from changing foods, to using bottled water, avoiding beef, you name it!! I groom my own dog and I do keep her beard pretty clean but it still has some stains.
Thank you so much for sharing your routine. I will start washing that beard everyday.
Wish me luck. And BTW, you should market those shower jackets! I'd buy several! Adorable!
Thank you for appreciating this video. Like you, I struggled with keeping their trademark beards unstained. Then one of friends shared this tip with me, and ttue enough, it worked wonders. Only issue is that it takes lots of effort, washing & blowing them twice a day, after their daily walks. Also, when giving wet food, I feed them by hand, so that their beards remain clean. Guess you could tell how much I love them by all these tedious procedures, but to me, they are worth all the effort, cos they give me much, much more in return.
Good luck with yours! And thank you again for your kind words. 🙂
I’m trying this ASAP! My pups bead is turning brown and he definitely likes digging out back. He too loves baths & the blow dryer.😂 Schnauzers are the best. Your pups are so beautiful and calm😊
I hope it works for you too! It takes a lot of patience & perseverance before you can see the results. Also, it'll help if you feed your pups by hand if you are giving them wet food.
Thank you for your compliments. Yes, agree 100% that schnauzers are the BEST! 😊
How soooooooooooooooooooo adorable!
And how so much they enjoy their shower!!!!!!!
Thank you so very much my dearest friend for sharing all these so very heartwarming moments with us and letting us knowing how to solve a rather common problem at the same time!!
SpiralBlue Andromeda Thank you, dear Kat! Perhaps you could pass the tip to your schnauzer loving friends! :)
Oh my gosh.... the cape! Where did you find that doggie cape ! My little girl is still convinced I'm trying to drown her with the baths, lol. But a cape for beard washes would make it so much easier to keep the rest of her dry and make the beard washing a lot quicker... less chance of drowning too 😅
Love your humour! 😂
The cape is a DIY! Cut from shower curtain, the edges lined with soft satin ribbon ( sewn on) , then held together with velcro. ( also sewn on)
A simple idea, but it did the job!
Sending your girl all my hugs & kisses 😘 😘😘
Thanks for watching!😊
I'm a bit unsure how helpful this video could have been for my Aunt's Schnauzer. The reason why his beard got so dirty was because about 90% of the time when he walked around he always had his head stuck down in the floor trying to find and sweep up crumbs of food. I tend to see schnauzers beards as brooms instead of decor.
Haha! You're absolutely right about the broom part. My trio often use their wet beards like brushes to write calligraphy on the floor too! Nevertheless, this method of keeping their beards unstained has been effective so far. so maybe it is worth a try on your aunt's broom sweeper. :)
Well, it would have helped, but the dog past away a few years ago. Still though, I might very well get a schnauzer of my own in the future, so I'll probably want to heed this advice.
I'm sorry for your aunt's & your loss. I hope you will enjoy the love & companionship of this wonderful breed one day.
That would be mine.
@@adammalkovich187 honestly, my life would not be a life without a schnauzer - been that way for the past 50 years! They are just the best!
Question.. where did you get the dog cover up? your video is amazing..
Thanks for the compliment!
The "dog cover up" is a DIY! 😊It is simple to make, basically cutting the shape from a shower curtain, & then attaching Velcro at the edges to hold. The collar is lined with soft satin ribbon, so that it is comfortable for my doggies.
Thanks for watching!
Homer is so handsome with his clean beard.
Homer thanks you for the compliment! 😊
People commenting are so unnecessarily rude sometimes.
My parents have a Schnauzer - adorable little bugger but always getting his nose into things and winding up with a ginger beard. Thanks for this :)
The ginger beard as you put it,is because of their saliva.
Oh my lord. My dog would die if I did this to her. She has always hated baths! I will try it, though. Thanks for the tip.
Lol, I feel ya my mini too! As soon as I turn on the hair dryer even if he's not near me, he starts running around. Also, he gets so pumped up after a bath that I have to let him get it out of his system before I brush his hair out. lol!
Mine does not put up with dryers either ; groomer does not even try. But he also gets the Zoomies so much after bath , he is self drying anyway. I throw towels on floor prior to bath, dry as much as I can with towel and let him rip and run on the floor.
our schnauzer hates baths and brushing and everything hygiene related
If you don't mind me asking ... what food do you feed your schnauzers?
I would imagine it would be a pain to wash it and blow dry it everyday, but I do think that it would do the trick. Blow drying it really is the key, keeping the beard dry. Thanks for the tip.
+HeeBin Yim You're right in that it is quite a chore to keep them clean this way, but there is nothing love cannot overcome :) The joy of seeing them fresh & clean is worth the effort. Thanks for watching!
Oh ma gosh, that CUTE plop on the floor to give in to the pampering...ouch my heart lol
It's cute, right? I'm never tired of their actions & they always makes me smile. :)
The mini I take of Murray is away for the winter so it cheers me so to see your pups!!
+the drisk Tq! Hope they brought you smiles! :)
All the time smiles and warms my heart Murray is the same age as whiskey
Hi Annette! Thanks for the credit! I loved watching your video it kind of reminded me of me! haha! Your welcome Annette! Sorry I haven't been around lately.. That's a long story... which I would prefer sharing privately... Thanks for sharing the video & I hope everyone is doing well! Love you, Mary, KKWN&B
+TheShopgirl2000a Hi Mary, it's great to hear from you. We hope you & your furry gang are happy & healthy! We had always wanted to thank you for the invaluable tip which really did the trick for our trio. After trying out various methods & shampoos, we were really at a loss over how to ever get rid of their stains, so imagine our relief & delight when we began to see the fruits of carrying out what you had suggested. Such a simple but brilliant grooming tip. We can't help but THANK YOU again for sharing such a useful tip with us. Our fondest thoughts & warmest wishes to you, KKWN&B
Awesome! I've been trying to figure out how to get this done. Thank you so very much!
Glad you found this video helpful! 😊
adorable. My Schnauzer mix (Schnoodle) would never sit still for me rinsing his muzzle. It's the one thing he will not let me do. But , still appreciate your video. Also love the apron , omg ! TOO adorable. (just saw your comment that you did it as a DIY)
right on .
I can imagine how adorable your schnoodle must look. Twice as cute as a schnauzer! :) Thank you for appreciating this video!
thanks, of course , I think he is the cutest thing in the world. :) His personality is one of kind ....a real charming stinker ! Such a toddler personality sometimes. MIne is miniature Schnoodle. We met a Giant Schnoodle yesterday/ all black, who was gorgeous.
Don't worry about that. Just washing their beards does not make them white. If there's iron in your water, like there is where I live, it will never get the beards white. There are special bluing shampoos that I have used in the past that worked miraculously. But, alas, I can't find that one anymore.
They are adorable… any specific shampoo that you use?
Thank you. No specific shampoo. My groomer friend who suggested to this cleaning said that combing through under running water is what matters.
Thanks for watching this! 😊
You’re an amazing animal trainer! Schnauzers are beautiful!
Thank you so much! ❤❤❤
What’s the tip tho? Just bathing, combing, drying? I couldn’t read the letters so not sure if I missed something! Super cute video tho!! Handsome boys!
Combing through the beard while running water through at the same time. Tq
Adorable dogs and I can tell how much you love them :) I have a mini schnauzer too and there's no way he'd let me do any of that to him. He's my "grumpy old man" lol but he's awesome!!
What is this little waterproof thing your puppy is wearing in the shower called please?
It's a DIY bib, similar concept to those used by hairdressers, in this case, to prevent my doggies' bodies from getting wet. It was fashioned out of shower curtain, & fastened with Velcro.
Thanks for watching!😊
You did not explain what soap/ shampoo you used?? Cute obedient dog.
Ordinary shampoo. In their case, I used Neem. I believe it is the combing that is important, not the type of shampoo.
Great video. What is the product you use to get the stains out? My miniature schnauzer stains bad
Thank you!
The advice I received from my groomer friend was to comb through the muzzle with running water. No special shampoos used.
Also, when it comes to wet food, I handfeed my doggies.
Thanks for watching! 😊
I love how yours comes and lays down to dry for you. Gonna have to try this with my teacup baby.
Yeah, she never failed to make me smile when she 'plopped' down for her muzzle to be blown. She loved to be pampered this way. :)
There is no such thing as a teacup schnauzer

I am sorry but I don't understand what is happening. Are simply washing their beards after every walk? Do you use any products, like soap, shampoo etc?
Yes, washing their beard under running water while running a comb through. ( to remove all the fine dirt) We got this advice from a groomer friend & tried it out. It worked for all my three schnauzers. We only use shampoo if they are particularly dirty, esp after long walks.
What s sweet pup to put up with all that so well.
Is your dog just naturally calm like that? My two mini’s don’t really like to be bathed. One absolutely HATES to get wet, and especially hates when I even touch his “muzzle!” I’ve wondered why he so hates his jaw area touched as he has no dental issues. I need to google it.
Yes, my doggies enjoy their grooming. It has been part of their routine since they were pups. I hope you'll be able to figure uout your mini's problem. Thanks for watching!
Around where I work I always see this little wise looking dog dude as part of dog posse the little dude leads the dog pack during walks. Just goes to show the wisdom that little dog dude exhibits. I call him the master yoda dog dude he has a long beard too.
How often do you wash their beard? Thanks!
Daily, after their evening walks & dinner
Thank you for watching!😊
I have a schnauzer like yours is black and silver/white and when I try to blow dry it, it won't stay still it runs around until I put the blow dryer down it comes back to me
Such a good girl that lets her beard be combed and blown dry
We can do it at home too or go to a Dog hairdresser ( Sorry for my english I hope you can understand me ) Edit: Which Shampoo you use and the comb is a special one? Where can we get that which is on your dog in the bath. Is it good if we always use shampoo?
Yes, done at home.
Use the same shampoo as you use to bathe them.
Use an ordinary comb, preferably not metal.
The "poncho" to keep them dry is DIY, cut from shower curtain, with velcro sewn on the edges to fasten around their necks.
I only use shampoo when their muzzles are very dirty, Most of the time, I just use running water.
Hope you'll find the above helpful. :)
Opps... elegance first! They seem to like the shower... Is it warm or a little cold water?
Nice to learn this technique... Maybe I will need it... Never know... Cheers, Eddy.
+Eddy Sun Music Probe Yes, they do. The temperature of the water we use for them depends on the weather, we'll use cold if weather is warm, & vice-versa. I hope you'll find it useful for you one day! :)
Where did you get the shower coat bit from? To keep their front dry whilst washing their face. I have a 8year girl miniature schnauzer and her beard is pretty bad to say the least.
It is a DIY shower coat, cut from shower curtain.
This looks like great information but the writing is so small and blends into the background.
When I was a kid, our vet told us the staining was from the food she ate, she got a bath weekly and didn't really go on daily walks... but I have a black schnauzer now so I guess it doesn't really matter, lol. I guess just keeping the beard clean probably helps with food staining too...
Thank you so much - I was asking what to do in a dog barbershop - they don't know !!!
You're welcome! :)
Awesome video and dogs are so beautiful!!!! I was also wondering where you got that cover, now its time for DIY:) Have you ever tried special dogs whitening shampoo?
Thank you so much for the compliment! The 'cover' to protect their bodies from getting wet was a customised DIY, cut to shape from a shower curtain, & then sewn on with velcro for easing wearing & taking off. :)
Yes, we tried several whitening shampoos before, but they didn't work well. It was only when we ran a comb through their beards under running water that we managed to get rid of the staining.
Thanks for watching!
It worked great. Thanks for the tip!
So happy it worked for your pet too! :)
What cute dogs!
Tq! :)
How do you guys keep their beards from staining? I have a white schnauzer and still a puppy but having a hard time keeping it not stain unless I give him a bath every week. Glad to hear any tips... thanks.
That's what we did & do, washing their beards daily under running water & running the fur through with a comb. It is very tedious, but so far has worked for my schnauzers.
I love their little shower coats. If you make them I am sure many would buy them. :) You say "after each outing" to wash the beards. You cannot mean after each time they go outside. How often are you suggesting? Thank you
Eden Blue Haha! Yes, good suggestion to make "doggy ponchos" for sale.
Yes, it is after each daily walk. Schnauzers are very inquisitive dogs & love to sniff out the environment. I don;t really stop them cos they seem to really enjoy their rich social life! :) Unfortunately, their beards do get stained if the undesirable elements they picked up along the way are not washed off. This explains the rinsing I have to do after each walk.
Thank you for watching this!
imma gonna try that. Wherever did you find such a cute shower drape? do tell, thanks!
The shower drape is DIY, cut from a piece of shower curtain :)
hey hi great idea! TX SO MUCH!
Awesome!
Thank you for watching!😊
So what did you use to keep white ???..
Washing their muzzles daily as shown.
Is there a product involved or just water?
Very good, thank you. I like this. Where did you buy those shower tops ? We have 2 , love them !
Thank you! Happy you like this! Those shower tops are home made DIYs, cut & sewn from shower screens. :)
Mmmm , very telanted, I will source out a large baby bib, may be it will work. thank you
What’s the frequency of water and comb v shampoo weekly?
Water & comb daily, shampoo once a week, & also when they get exceptionally dirty.
Thanks for watching!
thank you for sharing this precious tips, i have a white schnauzer so i would like to try it on my 5 month pup. Could you please telling me what shampoo are u using for these 3 furkids? cause i see they always lick their mouth when its wet.
Hi, I mostly use Neem shampoo for them. They don't usually lick while being shampooed, but they love to lick & drink the water from the shower head! :) Good luck with your furry baby!
thank you fyi ❤️
sorry to ask you again, do u also clean their beard after every meals? and if u do, how did u clean their beard, same in the bathtub?
You could use a whitening shampoo from Matrix. Go to your nearest salon they may have Matrix for white hair. I also use a mint drop in their drinking water. HOPE this helps your fur babies!
Hi there! What was the time span between the before and after? I'm curious if I try this method and do it consistently, how long will it take until I see results on my schnauzers. I have 3 also! 1 white and 2 salt and peppers.
Hi! Great to meet a fellow schnauzer lover! :) Mine took at least a few months. I think there are many variables as well, for example, some schnauzers drool a lot, which makes the problem harder to resolve, whereas, others remain relatively dry, for example, Shadow, my middle 'child'. He has less of this problem compared to Whisky, my eldest. Other variables include things like whether they eat wet food, whether they do long walks....but I think that the most important thing to remember is to be patient, cos ultimately, I believe it will work as long as we keep at it. Even up to now, I have managed to keep their muzzles unstained. Good luck!!!
So the key is to wash it? Brilliant!!
Possibly running the comb through their beards. Sorry if you feel disappointed that there wasn't any magic solution. 😒
I love it! Where did u get the grooming coat ?
+Magaly Pineda Thank you! The 'grooming coat'' was a customised DIY, cut to shape from a shower curtain, & then sewn on with velcro for easing wearing & taking off. :)
kidowmer I love the coat you made!! You should make and sell them. I'd be a customer for my schnauzer girls!!

Wow what good dogs
Tq! :)
We rescued a sweet old guy who was a train wreck. They had to cut off all his beard . I can’t wait till it grows back in
Soon you will have a handsome little guy!
Great tips!!! what shampoo de you recommend? My dog's beard is so stained :(
Priscila Edith Vázquez Medrano Tq! You could use a natural whitening shampoo, or just an ordinary pet shampoo. The idea is just to remove accumulated dirt. I think going over the fur with a comb & running water is more important. Good luck with your schnauzer! :)
My schnauzer had a throw-up and I want to get at the smell on her beard...Anything dry I could use for just this purpose???
Oh my gosh! This is so cute. I have a mini schnauzer myself. She hates when I wash or touch her beard. Is your schnauzer the same way?
Tahnie Marie Thank you! No, my trio do not fuss about having their beards washed & blown. They are used to the routine. :)
Can we say SPOILED!!! They are a great breed.
I love this video I have 2 mini schnauzers this helps a lot plus it was so cute how good they are for you ❤️
Tq so much for your kind comment! Glad it was helpful! Love & hugs for your two darlings ❤❤
Very nice! It is so nice to see Whisky with such shiny-white whiskers. I made the video full-screen, but I could not make out the text until :46, at which time it became clear. I watched it several times. I don't know if it's my computer or if others had this problem. Now that I think I have bored the Trio so that they have quit reading, I have a secret for you to share with Homer. Homer has nothing to worry about, his whiskers are still the whitest! hehehe
chihuahuabulldog It's true Homer has naturally white whiskers, & I bet that was why he was the apple of Daisy's eye! :) Thank you for watching, Ann! We send you tons of love & warm hugs
kidowmer Those whiskers are what caught Daisy's eyes, but it was Homer's wonderful ways and devotion that won her love. Oh! I meant to say how cute it is the way Whisky plops down for her human to tend to her every need. :-) I have to get the snorkel now so I can safely enjoy all those tons of lovin'. (I keep it close at hand.)
chihuahuabulldog We will send you more then, so that you can make full use of your snorkels! :)

omg! I wish my baby can stay still in the shower like ur baby's , he hate bath , hair dryer and the brush 😕
Oh dear...maybe a little positive reinforcement might help sweeten the deal for him? An especially yummy treat just for him, for taking the shower? :)
My Mni Schnauzer's beard is never dirty however that may be because we put her food in a flat dish instead of a bowl so she doesn't stick her head inside
That's good to know! I'm guessing your mini schnauzer is likely to be a dainty eater. Mine are hungry wolves! They tend to bury their whole muzzle into their food! 🤭😁

Awesome tip! Where can I find the shower capes?
markian17 They are home-made! Cut & sewn from shower curtains! :)
Can anyone tell me where I can get one of those shower covers for my dog?
It is a DIY, cut to shape from a shower curtain, and with velcro sewn at the edges.
Use a children's hair cutting cape ... available at most beauty supplies.
Hi, what is the cover your dog is wearing in the shower and where did you get it? Thanks
Hi, it is DIY, using a shower curtain, cut to size with binder sewn at the edges to prevent tearing.
Where did you get his little apron?
It is DIY, made from shower curtain. :)
I want my dog's beard to whiter but she hates baths and we have to shave her every summer anyways because I live in Florida. But at the same time when she's inside she shakes because she's so cold, but then doesn't want to go on walks if her hair is long *face palm*
Do u do this every day ?
Yes, twice a day in fact.. All three of my doggies love to be blown, brushed & fussed over.
There is a Honey Shampoo which comes in a liquid or solid bar. It is much better for
your dogs than the perfumed or stop itch ones. As for the White beards, you can use the
Bright eyes accessory on them,it soon takes the brown out.
Thank you for sharing the tips. :)
My Schnauzer also has stained paws I imagine because she licks her paws. Did you have this problem also?
No, Am lucky mine do not lick their paws
My miniature schnauzer is coming 7, he hasn't had a white beard or paws since he was a puppy:/
It is a challenge to keep their white fur. I struggled with the problem too!
We have a water system at home, O use blue shampoo, and my girl still have problems in her beard and tear stain. What's your trick, wash them daily? Any special shampoo?
Perhaps you could try this: With water running through their beard, try combing their beard at the same time. I did that twice a day after their walks & feeding. It takes time, but it eventually worked. Good luck!
My trio have no problems with tear stairs.
What did you use to get their beards clean??
I use Neem for them.
I Have a white mini female and wondering what else would you recommend for the upkeep of her white coat. Do your dogs suffer from allergies or flem? Thanks!
White mini schnauzers are beautifully elegant! I'm sure yours is just as striking. :) The other tip might be that I avoid letting mine eat wet diet by themselves. Most of the time, they have dry kibbles, but if I serve them wet food, I feed them by hand. Besides, they enjoy the attention as well! :)
Only my youngest, Homer suffer from occasional schnauzer bumps, but Whisky & Shadow have very healthy coats.
+kidowmer i was told "bumps" was from processed meats in their diet.. vet told me that
+kc-n-sassy9807 Thanks for sharing the tip. You're right. I've been trying to adjust his diet to rid of the problem.
Tropiclean Spa Facial Scrub Tear Stain Remover it smells of blueberries and just let it sit in beard for few mins every day for 7 days - u will notice such a difference - even on their body. love it . And completely natural.
Just a small criticism. Make your font a bit bigger in the slides
Point taken. Sorry for the small font.
Do you use a special shampoo for their beards?
No, just their ordinary shampoo. I use Neem shampoo for them

Where did you get the apron they were wearing?
It's a DIY, fashioned from shower curtain.

I love the shower jacket!, well done!
Do you do this daily or more?
Thank you! Yes, they get their beards washed daily, after their daily walks.
What shampoo do you use for your dogs beard?
+TheOchenzloy Neem Pet Shampoo. Sometimes we use Groomer's Edge. Thanks for watching! :)
I am told that the staining on their beards comes from saliva..Do you find the Proline shampoo to help
Florence Sommer You're right, I think their drooling contribute to the problem. It doesn't help that wet beards tend to pick up dirt a little more so than dry beards. If I am not mistaken, the Proline shampoo you mentioned is a product from Chris Christensen? We used some of his products before, but not Proline. I'm sure most shampoos help, just as long as they help wash away foreign micro-particles that get stuck to their beard fur..
Thank you for watching this! My trio send you warm hugs & friendly woofs!
Florence Sommer Just another note, I do not use Proline Self-Rinse shampoo, so I am not in the position to comment on that.
Why do the ears stick out like that on the two?
I love my shnauzywowzy and will tell you...comb peroxide through beard wait 5min and then wash. The small amount won't hurt them and will help breath too. My one 16y still has all teeth.
Thank you for the tip!
You cannot read the writing on the top of the screen until almost the very end of the video. What is the trick? Could you write it out for us please? Writing with white on a white background doesn't help.
They do have snow-white muzzles now (lol) and thanks to Mary for her valuable grooming tip :-)
Why is my schnauzers beard brown? It use to be white! How do I make it go back to white?
Try what is suggested in this video. Thanks for watching!
awe I wish i knew this years ago. my girl's beard stained but her brothers didnt. odd huh. I was told a food stain and not to bother trying to rid her of it lol
No worries. You can still try this cos a s the new fur grows on the beard, the muzzle will start to turn whiter...😊
So cute

Mine used to have a white beard, then about 2 years ago it all went dark red coloured. Inc her paws that she licks.
Yeah, unfortunately staining is a common problem with schnauzers.
How can I get mine to stay still when brushing? Its almost imposible to bath or brush my schnauzer! 😞 what's the secret?
Mine got used to the routine because we started from puppy stage. They have gotten used to the routine. In fact, my eldest dog, Whisky, loved the routine!
nice tip :)

Wish mine was this fucking calm lol
I bet yours is just as adorable despite him/her not being calm. I just love their mischievous & inquisitive nature.
Comb gently much?
Yes
@@kidowmer alright good. It didnt look like it on the vid but im sure its fine. Im a man with a long mane (beard) so i can relate to if combing was too fast it can cause discomfort im sure its thr same for a dog aha
@@michael4218Thanks for understanding. For sure you would, since you are similarly endowed with an attractive beard. 😊 I'd only comb through their beards while running water through the latter. That way, there's no friction and the comb runs through smoothly without 'pulling' at their fur. I do take great care not to cause them any discomfort or pain cos they are my beloved doggies. I love them very, very much.

My crazy dogs love camping they see the tent and it is all over not 1 moment of silence till we are in the car!!
