It is strange how the levels seemed so much longer 30 years ago. I also never made it past vulture as a kid. Also, I think I just haphazardly clicked on locations. I had no idea what was going on 🤣.
No one would, especially when it was 1st released. Back then there really wasn't anything like it so it blew away peoples minds. Nowadays it obviously comes off super cheesy but that only adds to its charm.
Too much pun power in a single game disc. I actually had this back then. For some reason, I always thought, as a kid, that finishing the game on the hardest setting would change the ending sequence (I thought Venom would disappear from the next to last shot instead of sitting there, stalking Spidey). I guess it could have been a hint of a sequel? but that never happened obviously.
18:50 *Half Life 3 confirmed.* 51:01 *DrDisRespect detected.* p.s. this game looks super fun and engaging. I can imagine what gamers felt in 1991, crazy!

Lololol god no!!!! Those were Russian animators who didn’t know English or about Zelda’s universe No where near the same quality. Of course they r similar how fluidly wonky and meh figure drawing skills they both r
For the final mission, couldn’t Spider-Man just bring Mary Jane to safety before he even fought Kingpin? I didn’t know how dumb Spider-Man is. Maybe it was just the developers.
Peter Parker sounds very similar here to his voice in the 80s Spider-Man cartoon (Not & His Amazing Friends the other one). Peter also kinda looks a little like Venkman from Real Ghostbusters
Hey there speaking of superheroes going a little off-topic for a sec, just a little recommendation for your long list of plays Rent-A-Hero You're Welcome.
(Crossover with Sonic and friends) Narrator: These are the New York offices of the Daily Bugle where young Peter Parker is employed as a freelance photographer! Peter's work on his large daily newspaper has brought him into contact with some of the more unsavory characters that roam the streets of the city! Peter: Boy, what an ugly bunch! A nastiest batch of criminals in the worlds and New York's got em! Lucky thing they've also got Spider-Man! Narrator: Only Peter's wife Mary jane knows his extraordinary secret that he is not merely the pleasant and conventional young man he seems! Peter: Mary Jane! Mary: Hi tiger! Peter: hi honey! What's up? Mary I was just on my way to the studio to take today's episode of secret hospital! Thought I stop by to get a kiss if you're not to busy of course! Peter: Now there's something I'm never too busy for! (Mary chuckles and gives peter a kiss) Amy: (Sighs) Romance! Sonic: Yeesh! Mary: That outta keep me happy until dinner! See you then? Peter: Yep! See you tonight! Max (Secret life of pets): Tough love, huh? Gidget: Yep! Woman: Help! Help me! Sonic: What the? Peter: That woman! What the? She's being attacked! Sonic: You're right, man! Come on, guys! We gotta do something! Narrator: When trouble arises as it does so often! Peter Parker is no longer just an ordinary Newspaper Photographer! But something else entirely! Someone with the strength, endurance and power of... Spider-Man: Looks like it's time to call on: You're friendly neighborhood, Spider-Man! Sonic: And the Super Smash Bros. Squad as well! (Later) Old woman: officer, that nice young man in the warm underwear saved my purse and all my money! and along with his friends as well! Policeman: Good work, Spider-Man! Even you as well, Super Smash Bros. Squad! It's a good thing you came along when you did! You're the best friend this city ever had! I'm just glad you're on our side! Spider-Man: I was just doing my job, officer! happy to be of help! Sonic: Us, too! Old woman: Young man, I don't know what I would have done without you or your friends! But you really shouldn't run around in public dressed like that! Spider-Man: Yes, ma'am! I'll keep it in mind! Bolt: You bet he will! Policeman: Good-bye Spider-Man! Even you as well, Super Smash Bros. Squad! (Both Spider-Man and the Super Smash Bros. Squad take off) Old woman: That young man is a real hero! Policeman: He certainly is ma'am! I don't know what the city would do without him! And his friends! (Later that night) Peter: Let's see what's on TV! (Clicks the tv remote) Sonic: Yeah now shall we? (TV turns on) News Reporter: We interrupt our regularly scheduled broadcast to present this special emergency report from Wilson Fisk a concerned citizen and one of our city's leading businessmen! ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Fisk! Sonic: What the? Peter: Kingpin! Tails: It can't be! Peter (Earthworm Jim): I don't believe it! Mary: What do you suppose he's up to now? Sonic: I don't know! Peter: Whatever it is it's bound to be bad news for New York! And for Spider-Man! Sonic: And even for us, Super Smash Bros. Warriors, too! Kingpin: Hello citizens of New York! it is my painful duty to make you aware that a monstrous crime has been perpetrated against us! By a man we thought was our ally! it has come to my attention that Spider-Man has turned renegade against the forces of law and order! Max Goof: WHAT? Peter: Hey that was back when Jonah had everyone convinced I was a crook! And I didn't hurt those cops! Classic Spyro: He would never do anything like that! Kingpin: He is perpetrating one monstrous crime after another! All across our city! Peter: But I never did that! Knuckles: He would never! Old woman: Oh, my poor doggy! Kingpin: And now he has devised the most ghastly crime of his career! He has planted a bomb that will explode in exactly 24 hours destroying the entire city! Peter: I certainly never did that! Sonic: He would never do such a bad thing like that! Kingpin: I am offering the reward of $500,000 for Spider-Man's capture in hopes that he can be forced to reveal the location of the bomb before it is too late! We must protect ourselves from the super criminal, Spider-Man! Shadow: This has gone way too far! Sonic: You're right, Shadow! Danny: Kingpin is seriously gonna regret this! Tucker: You're right, dude! Bolt: That Kingpin creep makes me so mad! (Growls) Mary: Peter! What are you going to do? Lucky (Pound puppies): Like what? Peter: If there's really a bomb! It'll be Kingpin's doing! Hank (Talking Tom and Friends): Peter's right! Peter: I'll have to find him and disarm it in the next 24 hours! Danny: (Going ghost) And were gonna stop him! Mary: But the police are gonna think you're the criminal! Max (Secret life of pets): She's right man! Besides, even if the police think that were helping you, they're gonna lock us up, too! Spider-Man: Don't worry about that, Mary Jane! Even you as well, Max! The Police know I'm on their side! Sonic: And besides, they can't try to lock me up! Mega Man: I can actually doubt that! (Meanwhile) Sarge: I want an all point bulletin for the arrest of Spider-Man! Policeman: Considered done, sir! Who would've thought Spider-Man would turn on us! Now were gonna have to turn this city upside down to find him before that bomb goes off! Let's get on it! (Intro music)
(Crossover with Sonic and friends continued) Spider-Man: Why don’t you come clean and tell me what the Kingpin is up to this time? Is there a bomb planted somewhere? Bolt: Is there Doc Ock? Dr. Octopus: Yes, you rataniod moron proper good it would do you! Even for the rest of you fools! Kingpin’s fixed it so you never be able to disarm it either! It takes five keys to stop the bomb’s eternal clock and they have to be inserted in the proper order, or the whole thing goes boom! (Laughs evilly) Knuckles: Oh man! Spider-Man: I don’t get it! Sonic: So do we! Spider-Man: Why would the Kingpin wanna blow up his own city? Bolt: Just why? Dr. Octopus: This isn’t about one measly city bug breath and for you as well, fools! It’s about world domination, and getting rid of you once and for all! You be much safer when it happens and never you be! (Laughs evilly) Spider-Man: Tell me where to find the keys or I’ll cut you up for calamari! Bolt: Yeah! Doc Ock! Tell us now or I am gonna use my eye lasers to cut you into smytherines! Dr. Octopus: I don’t know where all of them are! But you might try looking in Central Park for one of them! And if you want another, you have to go to the sewer and take it away from the lizard! Spider-Man: You’re using Curt Connors a friction as a tool to defeat me and my friends? Hasn’t that poor man suffered enough? Shadow: Yeah! Has he? Dr. Octopus: I find Connors to be very useful! But I don’t be you be that simply pathetic after he beats you to a bloody pulp! Spider-Man: Why don’t you stick tight for a while, Doc! Sonic: Yeah, Doc! Spider-Man: The police will be by after I call them and tell them where to find you! Meanwhile, I got some keys to find! Sonic: Yeah! Us too! Let’s go!
If SEGA had cut out the animated cutscenes, the voice acting and the CD quality sound, they could’ve re-released this as a Genesis/Mega Drive game. I’d have brought it without a second thought. Between the slight graphical upgrades, enhanced gameplay mechanics, extra levels and extra bosses, this is basically a new game.

anyone would do that trust me
That thumbnail is class!!
It is strange how the levels seemed so much longer 30 years ago. I also never made it past vulture as a kid. Also, I think I just haphazardly clicked on locations. I had no idea what was going on 🤣.

1:04:45 Does anyone else notice Venom in the background?
For real…like a symbiote spider man
I do not remember the acting or animation being this bad.
No one would, especially when it was 1st released. Back then there really wasn't anything like it so it blew away peoples minds. Nowadays it obviously comes off super cheesy but that only adds to its charm.
Really? I thought whoever voiced Spiderman was pretty good at his role.
Those are some weird ass game overs and continues
and here i thought you had to fail mysterio's pinball game, so there was a way out of it, that's neat
Seriously..the puns 😆
Too much pun power in a single game disc.
I actually had this back then. For some reason, I always thought, as a kid, that finishing the game on the hardest setting would change the ending sequence (I thought Venom would disappear from the next to last shot instead of sitting there, stalking Spidey).
I guess it could have been a hint of a sequel? but that never happened obviously.
Enemies getting their ass beat to the music. Fire song though

La batalla contra Misterio fue mejor aprovechada que el otro juego de Spiderman basado en la serie animada.
that music during the cutscenes sounds so dramatic like a cheesy TV novel lol
Amazing soundtrack
Great upgrade on the MD original.

p.s. this game looks super fun and engaging. I can imagine what gamers felt in 1991, crazy!
Why's Doc Oc dressed like Shaggy?
1:08:19 wow, kingpin is youtuber!? he say "is a shame that i don't bring my camera, but im allways remeber this moment"

I always wondered that myself
Otro gran trabajo musical del genial Spencer Nilsen.
Who has tickets for -No Way Home- MysterWorld?
Did they hire the same people that did the animations for CDi Zelda games... because this feels about on-par with them.
Onpar? This looks like a disney movie compared to that
Lololol god no!!!! Those were Russian animators who didn’t know English or about Zelda’s universe
No where near the same quality. Of course they r similar how fluidly wonky and meh figure drawing skills they both r

The theme song in this game is so much better than the classic Spider-Man theme.
Jameson's ranting always sounded to me like he was saying "Hello, Greyhound, who the hell's paying you?"
Wow this game is truly a masterpiece compared to other marvel's games of the era.
As I have seen in other RUclips videos, this video game has an alternative ending, when you fail to save Mary Jane, the game has another ending.
The game has more than one ending
Look at the end of the video
AKA, "The Game Where Spider-Man Can Get Hurt by Rats" 🐀
Rat bites hurt, dude. New York Rats on top of that.
1:09:44 Game over
This game is cool 👍
For the final mission, couldn’t Spider-Man just bring Mary Jane to safety before he even fought Kingpin? I didn’t know how dumb Spider-Man is. Maybe it was just the developers.
Peter Parker sounds very similar here to his voice in the 80s Spider-Man cartoon (Not & His Amazing Friends the other one). Peter also kinda looks a little like Venkman from Real Ghostbusters
My computer prof in highschool worked on this! Planning on buying this
Awesome Video! Why does Jonah want Spider-Man behind bars?
wtf? his arms, look at it 5:52
Loading time? The Game has a f* loading timessss?
How does Venom look drastically different each time we see him?

Hey there speaking of superheroes going a little off-topic for a sec,
just a little recommendation for your long list of plays
Rent-A-Hero
You're Welcome.
(Crossover with Sonic and friends)
Narrator: These are the New York offices of the Daily Bugle where young Peter Parker is employed as a freelance photographer!
(Mary chuckles and gives peter a kiss)
Amy: (Sighs) Romance!
(Later)
Old woman: officer, that nice young man in the warm underwear saved my purse and all my money! and along with his friends as well!
Squad take off)
Old woman: That young man is a real hero!
Policeman: He certainly is ma'am! I don't know what the city would do without him! And his friends!
(Later that night)
Peter: Let's see what's on TV!
(Clicks the tv remote)
Sonic: Yeah now shall we?
(TV turns on)
News Reporter: We interrupt our regularly scheduled broadcast to present this special emergency report from Wilson Fisk a concerned citizen and one of our city's leading businessmen! ladies and gentlemen, Mr.
(Growls)
Mary: Peter!
(Meanwhile)
Sarge: I want an all point bulletin for the arrest of Spider-Man!
Policeman: Considered done, sir! Who would've thought Spider-Man would turn on us! Now were gonna have to turn this city upside down to find him before that bomb goes off! Let's get on it!
(Intro music)
(Crossover with Sonic and friends continued)
Spider-Man: Why don’t you come clean and tell me what the Kingpin is up to this time? Is there a bomb planted somewhere?
Bolt: Is there Doc Ock?
Dr. Octopus: Yes, you rataniod moron proper good it would do you! Even for the rest of you fools! Kingpin’s fixed it so you never be able to disarm it either! It takes five keys to stop the bomb’s eternal clock and they have to be inserted in the proper order, or the whole thing goes boom! (Laughs evilly)
Knuckles: Oh man!
(Laughs evilly)
Spider-Man: Tell me where to find the keys or I’ll cut you up for calamari!
Bolt: Yeah!
Us too! Let’s go!

have you done the mega drive version? (probably yes)
Anybody else love doc oc's laugh 💀

I had the genesis version it was hard I never beat it but it didn't have much items than the Sega CD version
That scene in Marvels Spider man on ps4 where you hunt the vigilante imposter and he talks like this version of spider man and peter says I don't talk like that no one talks like that ! 😂
