I've watched that GQ video before, it bughed me a little, but it doesn't really bother me

Just to show how big of an impact Cudi has on modern music, look at Travis Scott. He's said many times that Kid Cudi is his biggest inspiration and that the "Scott" part of Travis Scott is because of Cudi's real name (Scott Mescudi).

Satellite flight was okay but it had its good songs and bad songs. Day N Night was probably the song most emblematic of the mid to late 2000s club boom. He was on the wave of making poppy hits that were somehow both blatantly and lowkey about just being really depressed, which is what's defined much of popular rap music ever since, most notably in the sound cloud/ emo rap scenes
I thought the same thing when I saw the video.
I mean GQ video is really bad but your on the other hand only confirmed what Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin is the most slept on album of the last few years

That was the first song I ever heard from Travis Scott. Heard it on the radio but just heard Travis Scott’s part and I was wondering who jacked Cudi’s flow. Then I realized Cudi was on the track and now I’ve been a fan of TS ever since.
