My mother grew up in an Eichler. She loved it, but said her mom cried when they moved in, because she didn’t want to clean all those windows. Grandma ended up loving the home. When we visit Los Angelos - we drive by her childhood home. ♥️ This reno is lovely.
Such a Beautiful Home, so wonderful to see it restored. It's funny to think how the owner described Eichler's philosophy as 'designed so the middle class could afford nice homes' when today an Eichler house is probably very, very expensive.
I'm from Costa Rica and was very fortunate to spend work and vacation time in one if this houses. Amazing and the lines very clean. It was 14 years ago my last visit. I think that is is located in a street called Fern. And the number of the house 766 un red. Amazing house with an avocado tree in the back yard and an orange tree in the front yard. I won't forget that house. ❤️
Beautiful job on the house. Previous owner would have been so proud to see this restoration. This is work of love, a delicate balance of bringing the home to modern standards while retaining the footprint of an Eichler home.
Beautiful home. The 1605 is my favorite Eichler model. I really would have tried to keep the natural wood ceilings, though. That is one of the key features of MCM architecture & design, in my opinion. Again, fabulous job!
Gorgeous, one of the two most beautiful Eichlers I've seen. I lived in one in 1980, it was still original which isn't as luxurious. But the windows are always stunning, I love bringing the outside in.
Wonderful job restoring this house! As we glimpsed a bit, there would have been much less white in the original finishes. Exposed wood ceilings and waxed plywood veneer on the walls were the norm. It's lovely what you did with the mahogany screen.
I love Eichler Homes. Too bad there are only a few hundred here in Southern California. This is my favorite Eichler design. The A frame in the middle with the flat roof on the sides. The atrium is what I love and It's the perfect design for me. The only issue I have is I wish this design came with a double car garage. The carport is great but I would like a place to lock up my cars at night and I would like to have a garage workbench.
This is beautiful good job!!! but honestly some of those human statues would freak me out especially while I'm trying to sleep seeing in them in the night :0
I wonder what it would cost to recreate this home today as new construction not to buy and remodel. Of course here in the southern part of Florida where I live I am pretty sure a flat roof would not meet hurricane code.
Wonderful. I got into a comment war with someone who groused that FLWright’s work was often “unlivable.” I replied that Wright (and all other architects worthy of the title) would always say that beauty is often not fully utilitarian. One of my professors in design school said “when you design a pillow with angles get back to me! Until then, learn.”
I like it. My only concern is heating and cooling a building with that much glass. They did not say, but I assume that they replaced all the glazing with dual pane glass. Evan modern dual panes leak a lot of heat, so they would gain some efficiency, but it will never be as tight as a normal house.
We are planning to renovate next year... how much cost approximately for this kind of modern look not Art designs and stuff but rest. If u can let me know that would be great help. Thank you!! It’s beautiful!!

Great Reno, so cool with blend of MCM and modern accommodations
Beautifully executed. Congratulations on a really sensitive, intimate yet openly dramatic treasure.
Beautiful! Love the accent pieces. So warm and inviting!

I love that atrium idea. It's a room within the home, however it's outside. These Eichlers are the coolest thing I have ever seen.
Beautiful and peaceful home. My favourite area is the atrium with the maple tree. Absolutely gorgeous. I want one as well. Kudos to the designers.
Such an amazingly beautiful home. Love the renovation. One day I'd love to purchase an Eichler for my family.
What a fantastic home! The owners did a great job restoring it!

The house is wonderful, yet also the couple are so very warm and humbly poised! Thank you for opening up your lovely home!
Beautiful- love that atrium especially lol. So much light too which I agree - is good for the soul

Beautiful remodel. Tasteful and respectful to the intent of the Architect.
I love Eichler homes. That would be my dream home.
Simply a stunning home. It's nice to see homes with this much style and design in america.
Lovely, I have seen in Sunnyvale and one in Palo Alto. These are now multi-million dollar houses, :)
what an amazing home! i love that mobile/ kinetic sculpture with red dots hanging from the ceiling! and that atrium! omgggg
That room divider is a winner. Wonderful.
I've always wanted to have a tree inside my house😍
The Atrium is wonderful. Like a zen garden.
What a nice feeling to live outdoor indoor living

Stunning......just stunning!
This is my dream home! I LOVE everything about it! ❤️❤️
love the wooden artwall hanging above the fire place!
Love this Couple; and the Home they Created / restored!
Nice remodeling of this house! Even though I don't really care for mid-century modern designs, this house does bring the outdoors in for sure.
...ah you can also say, YOU live in MY dream home. As in, " I can honestly say I live in my and B's dream home". Well done you two! Well done.

This house is stunning!
Oh my gosh. I’ve saved tons of pics of your house in my Houzz idea book! So glad to learn more about it! It’s a beautiful renovation!

what a wonderful house i love to see.
They did a great job on bringing it up to today's standards I wish Eichler built more homes in Southern California.
Beautiful done!
Awesome home. Not too big to manage and great outdoor space.
This is what my dream house will look like
Absolutely stunning. I want one!
Very beautiful!
This is the house I want to live in when I get old.
lovely home!

Amazing job!! Wow!
Breathtaking
Simply my favorite 👌🏾
One of the best houses I ever seen
Amazing house 💖
Stunning

Gorgeous
Wow I love this!!!!! My idea of the perfect home.
with every indoor-outdoor house video, I always think: what happens when it rains? 😂
Since the place the tree is standing on has rocks instead of the floor that's used throughout the building so I think that acts as the drainage
Frank Tiemens No, I meant how do you keep the entire place dry? It is an indoor-outdoor house after all. Wouldn't it make the entire place humid?
wow beautiful
lovely.
Love it.
love it!!!
I love it!
I love it
i'm dying to do a native landscape for a really nice eichler. i've worked on a few nice ones, but i have some ideas i think are going to blow it away!

May I be so lucky to get to live in somerhing similar 💓
Wonderful revival blessings 360
Beautiful house! Too bad you had to paint over that wood on the ceiling bit I probably would have done the same.
Dream home!
Dream house❤️
my fav part os the little courtyard
Absolutely gorgeous! How many square feet?
Lovely. =)
Video's too short! Beautiful home.

Beautiful home! Can anyone tell me where to find those chairs at 1:20? or the name of that style of chair pleeeeease! I'm obsessed
Love
Very nice, I do see the similarities to a FLW designed home.
What's the spinning orange circles outside?
I would love to know the ceilings white color paint name and a sheen
The red phone...oh yes!
my dream house
I looked out of the corner of my eye at 0:48 and thought there was someone in a bathtub. Then I realized it was a statue head on a white buffet. 😆
My god, fucking beautiful
Wow I feel like I'm living in nature right now
I love the sculptures that are featured throughout the house. Who is the artist(s)?
the first one I saw startled me a bit. looked like a person had just been lopped off at the shoulders. LOL
❤️❤️❤️
I think credit should be given to the architects. Eichler was the developer. I believe this was a Jones/Emmons design?
Wow
What stools are those in the kitchen?
The tile job is nice …. but buffing the original concrete floor would have been better . More minimalist and authentic !
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I love the house but its need more color on the walls.
why the chopped off people tho
