Inspiration is how God gives His Word
Illumination is how God helps us to receive His Word (Psa 119:18)
How does God’s Word enter into the heart (not just the mind) of a Christian?
The five aspects in which the Holy Spirit illuminates us
I. Opening your eyes to the truth (Eph 1:17; Luke 24:25-45)
Open eyes is more about understanding rather than seeing
God opens your understanding to receive the truth
II. Your eyes being enlightened (Eph 1:18)
III. Revealing to you what has been hidden (1 Cor 2:9-15; Eph. 3:4-9)
IV. Teaching you what you did not understand (1 Cor. 2:13; John 14:26; 1 John 2:20, 27)
V. Guide you to further truth (John 16:13-15)
