Seems like BNSF is operating CNW style over there. Back in the day when the Santa Fe ran this line, it had the very same method of operation in these parts of New Mexico west of Belen to Gallup and on east of Winslow, AZ.
I dearly miss the Santa Fe. It was so good to see the two Warbonnets on that last train. I only wish you had zoomed in on them. They are becoming harder and harder to find.
As a retired OTR trucker I remember back in the '70's and '80's talking to trainmen (don't know if engineers or conductors) on the CB anytime the interstate paralleled the tracks. Wonder if they still do......
