Thanks for sharing this video. I do agree that re-painting the yellow walls white will make the space look nicer while also matching your existing furniture pieces (including the TV feature wall). Perhaps can do as a weekend project.
Your carpenter may have cut some corners. My sliding wardrobe has been in use for 19 yrs, no such issues. Do treat the sliding door with tender loving care though 😂. Agree with the dish rack's useless cover. The pneumatic that holds up the heavy cover will get worn out soon, and becomes a real hazard to your head! Just removed it for your own convenient and safety.
I do not have mould issue with this type of tv cabinet and i have used for more than 12 years. It could be other issues like workmanship or environment.
For the dish rack cover I do find it helpful cos less bugs get into it. Mine dry overnight but here’s what I did, I remove the bottom tray so water drips into the basin directly. Secondly I kept my kitchen window open all the time. The breeze can dry the dishes. Third, insert all the dishes properly into each slot. This ensure there is gap and air between each utensil. My plates are dried quickly.
Sliding door wardrobe has a down side. Dust gathers at the edges of the door. As for feature wall didn’t do it. They take up space for headroom. I just buy a tv console from Taobao that match my colour scheme and as much as possible closed drawers. In fact none of my carpentry are closed door. Wardrobe I asked for handles which my contractor was surprised. Trust me I got advice from my friends cos closed cabinets means dust can’t get into it. You wipe the outside. Easy Peary. The handles on wardrobe are used everyday to hang some stuff. Nowadays the rooms are small you don’t have luxury to install a clothes hanging rack already.
I just live in my new 2 room 45 sqm bto 3 weeks now. My flat all white. No tv cabinet wall because I don’t watch tv. Kitchen only lower cabinet no upper cabinet. Is good enough for storage. Full length wardrobe sliding room. A bit of regret because it really trap dust and I find troublesome need to stand on stool to reach the top. Overall cleaning is easy and d fast.
Sliding doors are okay. It's just the quality of your sliding door is lousy. If the tracks at the bottom is made of a single piece of metal, then you will not have metal popping or breaking off from the wood.
i am going to buy a wooden kitchen cabinet, can i place it at the corner like your kitchen cabinet or have to left some space left and right side, so that have some ventilation, otherwise it will grow mold? please advise?
Any other regret ? Got plan to do reno to enhance it ? I do agree the tv cabinet is a past display, u lucky that sliding door can slide to cover up toilet enterance. Your yellow wall do not match up with blue curtain.
Totally agreed to your points...thanks for willing to share👍👍..stay safe and Happy ❤❤
Thank you. Have a good day too.

Came here to say this too. It's really the carpenter not doing a better job. If it's a good job it'll definitely last decades like mine too.

I think this depends on your kitchen dimensions. For my home there are a bit of space next to the fridge.
