It's sad that David Crosby passed away today. I've listened to C. S. N. Y. My entire life and now I remember the old days as a hippie. And the music plays on.
When your young, you see life with such clearity. You know in your soul what's right. Then we live, and the years build and grow. We look back at our life, and we can't even pick the point, where we became the person we don't even understand.
We became what we are....but our foundation is solid as a rock & if we can take time to listen this masterpiece...that means our soul is still fu....ng there ( excuse my french ) I guess I grew after 65 great years
I can’t stop listening. My hair is longer than I would have normally. I understand what they are talking about. In today’s place, I will grow it longer. Like Johnny Cash, I wear the black, and I will grow my hair until we can all connect.
This is the only song this big fat bunch of junkies wrote that I still love to this day. EasyRider is the best movie, such a powerful message. RIP dude
It's 2022, and "I almost cut my hair," but I'm letting it grow because I want to stop looking like a policeman. Some people thought I was, so I said to my self, I'm going to let my own freak flag fly, like the song says. It's hard to manage, but easier as it grows longer. So, next time I take off my motorcycle helmet to my seldom seen friends they'll wonder, "Hey, who's that ugly guy?" It's getting very long, and I don't care, I don't want to get shot looking like a cop, so I'm gonna let my freak flag fly. Yes sir, long freaky hair is back in style, like it was born to be wild.
I still don't know when I got old or how I never saw it coming,,but now I'm here and I just thank God I had great music then and still listen ...
Amen!
All I can say is wow, wow, wow.....this is such a great recording!!!!!!
Crosby ❤
RIP Crosby rimarrai nell'olimpo della. MUSICA e sarai ricordato.sempre..
One of the greatest songs about self-empowerment ever produced, this version is especially rare because of the extended jam.

Io ho la loro stessa età sono felice per la giovinezza che ho passato con la loro musica. GRANDI è dir poco
Crosby's finest hour in my opinion.

Wow, that was deep. And so true. In my 60s

Speak for yourself - A little older & smarter - but I still know & understand myself✌️
You need to go back brother seems like you lost yourself somewhere instead of growing into your true self.
I was never in the service but after 17 years of law enforcement, I understand this song more than ever. I am 47 years old.
It's a state of mind
The best version, everything is so on point and by the time it has finished..........feeling old, but a little wiser 😊🤘
This ages well but NEVER GETS OLDE
One of my top favorite rock songs. Love it! It means freedom of personal expression to me.
My favorite version of this song. Usually more partial to thr live version of music but this is my favorite tempo of this song.
Thank you for making this
This song meant a lot to me. 70's growing up in Oakland/Berkeley area got hassled a lot by the police. Largely because I had long hair.
one of my all time favorite bad ass song. love that groove. I feel like I owe it to someone.
I love that line, "I feel like I owe it to someone."
Love❤
My sister and I would sing along and crack up! Haven’t heard this in years. I think she still has the LP😒
Everybody plays lead in that one part ❤😂🎉 awesome 👍😎
Dentro del blues y rock, es algo sublime.... desdé que lo escuché ....ya más de 40 años, lo disfrutó mucho...desde España saludos.
Está padrisisísima esta canción ❤❤❤❤❤
Essa versão é espetacular.
Imagine sitting beside a stranger on a park bench or in a bus or a plane, and the stranger looked at you and spoke the lines to this song.

Here in Germany they’re prohibiting a visit to the barbershop for unvaccinated.........so it reminded me of this song.
“Gonna let my freak flag fly”!
Let it fly high for everyone to see, brother!
Could be because you had the flu. For Christmas.
Buen tema buena banda

Had to do with Vietnam and the young men who had to get there hair cut as they were drafted. I owed it to someone ...
I almost cut my hair the other day, it's getting kinda long. But I didn't because there was a 39 minute wait.
