- Brian Tyler, who composed the scores for Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3, and Furious 7 has created a musical theme for the 115th U.S. Open, which will air on the Fox network and Fox Sports 1 beginning June 18 from Chambers Bay in University Place, Washington. Conducting a 90-piece orchestra, Tyler created a four-movement theme that runs six minutes. “Brian is one of Hollywood’s hottest composers and we were honored that he chose the ‘U.S. Open on Fox’ theme as his next big project,” George Greenberg, Fox Sports executive vice president of content integration and presentation, said.
FOX SPORTS
The worst part of the US Open going back to NBC is that we won’t hear this anymore
ya but we dont have to deal with the idiots like holly sanders and joe (f)uck
Fox still uses this for its Westminster Dog Show coverage
And on the Belmont Stakes
NBC's classic song shits all over this. You're nuts
But the NBC open music is far better
You made golf epic. Go home, guys, he's done it.
Possibly one of the greatest orchestral movements ever made in living history. This piece can be used in a massive array of video promos, not just golf but war, peace etc. It sums up just about everything America is as a great nation, great people you name it, it's got it all and Brian captures every detail from the word GOOOOOOOOOOOOO - truly a master craftsman in his prime :-)
I feel bad for the composer. This is a very good piece that fits the theme of the US Open but is disliked by many simply because it isn't "In Celebration of Man".
Idk, this one is kind all over the place and drags on without repeating something we can get on board with. Kinda sounds more like a movie score for a long scene with lots of emotional twists, and maybe that's what he was going for but I got bored here. Clearly a great piece, very talented musician, but Celebration of Man just fits so much better imo. We can say it's from nostalgia and I can't rule that out but I just prefer that shorter, simpler song so much more.
@@AbleAndersonwell he is a film composer, so….
After NBC regained the USGA rights Westminster Kennel Club has used it as the song for WKC dog show
If only golf was as exciting and action-packed as this theme implies it it
Can't wait to hear this with the images of Pebble Beach in the background!!!! Hopefully Tiger is in the mix :)
It’s back for the Belmont!
And Saratoga Saturdays!!!
If you excuse me I’m going to save the world with a golf stick
What an awesome song.
This theme is used on all Fox golf broadcasts.
Because the only tournaments they have are USGA ones
Well, at least it's not the falsely known "Fox Sports Theme" better known as NFL on FOX. Imagine what USGA on FOX broadcast would be with the NFL theme compared to this.
Can I Log In before they had this theme written, fox used the NFL theme for the 2014 Franklin Templeton Shootout. It was quite jarring and out of place. A fox camera tower also ended up affecting gameplay as it turned out to be directly in the players lines at the hole.
awesome!!!
Good job Brian
At 0:07 when the french horns started playing, it reminded me of Chicken Run.
Oh French horns and trombones 🎶❤️
This song is up there with the old NBC theme
Awesome ❤️
On repeat
I love it! The video's not bad either. :P
Great piece of music, video is good but not great as it contains footage from the Ryder Cup? This is the US Open golf theme.
like if you’re going to miss this amazing theme now that US Open golf is back to NBC
FOX Coverage was meh....but the theme was tops!
At 2:30, I hear Man of Steel
Mix of the old and new. Copland, Williams and Zimmer. It works, real good. How do you not think of the great American West listening to this? I admit it took some time to grow on me (probably in deference to old theme), but I love it now.
Imagine if Fox Sports decided to include the Fox NFL Theme Intro for golf.?
Who is that in the scene with Jack and what tournament? Seve? Canttwll
супер
круто;)
Do you even golf bro? ;)
Great theme, crappy network
This is about the only way to make rich men hitting balls with long syicks across a field interesting.
In Celebration of Man is better. NBC!
Malcolm Parran move on
In Celebration of Man has nothing on Legend (the Open theme) though. It may not even have too much on this, but just my opinion
Are we playing professional golf or electing a president...this theme has as much to do with sports as an episode of the West Wing...Yanni's themes are tops.
The theme is good, it's not a Yanni theme, but he can't be the end all be all of themes
