This album got me through the hardest year of my life and came out almost like it was on cue, 1 month after my mom's stage 4 cancer diagnosis. Three years later and she's still fighting. Our motto has always been "You are never alone" and we even got "YANA" tattooed in each other's handwriting. This entire album will always have a very special place in my heart. I'll admit that it took a while for me to get his music but once it clicked I really started to love it. I think our culture is too detached and ironic to truly embrace something like this without destroying it. He is so closely linked to the music. It really is who he is. I don't think he should be bigger than he needs to reach out to his audience and spread the message they need to hear. If it was constantly played on the radio, I think it would lose its power.
