Man I'm glad I watched your video, didn't know what to do w that breather oil cap,my machine didn't say to put that on. There was already the red one on but didn't have the cap on top that reads oil
I’ve always found pulling the trigger while starting the engine puts less strain on it. When he mentioned throttle was “stuck,” my experience was that it was just very stiff from being new. No problems during first use and ran great.
Just picked one up today from a neighbor who is moving. She bought Lowe’s not that long ago for about $600 used it only a few times sold it to me today for $100 because she’s moving.😮🎉🎉🎉
I agree this has a good pump others dont have the pump lubrication less expensive models. And good engine too reasonably priced!! Do you still like it?? Thanks!!
If you ever use any detergent always use your pump saver after use. I use pool essentials to wash my siding but did not flush out the line after use. Bad decision, when I returned to use it the small iron ball in the soap line attachment was eaten up even though I used the proper mixture. When I removed the fitting attachment for the soap the small spring had some junk in it and like I said the very small iron ball was partially eaten up. I cannot find my manual and I need that replacement part. Also need the original siphon part, that was also eaten up. I bought one at Lowes but it is not the original. How can I get the original replacement parts?
You said to find the dirtiest funnel but please don’t do that. It is a brand new engine that works like your car engine. My suggestion is that do not use any funnel and place the oil bag directly into the fill hole. No funnel is necessary.
Wish I was as as you used mine twice 2 hrs each time now it won’t start went on you tube tried everything they suggested still no go replaced carb replaced fuel pump ckecked the governor setting checked the valve lash has fresh gas fresh oil changed the plug poured gas into the cylinder no start ready to put out on the street “free”
Also i bought it on Amazon but as i was redoing everything the motor on the bench i noticed redrilled mounting holes to the frame also some cooling fins are broke off says to me this had been returned and refurbished got dam
How can you say it’s one of the best homeowners pressure washer. You haven’t even used it yet. I thought my 3400 psi pressure washer was great too, until it wouldn’t start after 6 months. I let it set for the last 6 months and then pulled it out and fixed it, had to replace the spark plug which is hard to get to. If I ever buy another one it will have a Honda engine.
The reason I can say that is because the Honda engine used in it isn't new. It's been around for several years and is considered the a great engine. Also, the pump is a very good pump. There are some higher quality pumps, but not in the price range you'll find this pressure washer in.
Is the engine supposed to make that sound after spraying for a bit? Sounds like it want to die for a second. I just got the same one on Amazon. I picked up a psi Guage to test if it really was 3300psi as well. Turns out it's 3000. I was expecting that cause psi claims are never as advertised. It's still a great machine. Many models can be 600psi below or more as advertised.

the thing about those honda engines is that the dipstick is completely pointless and only confuses people, you're supposed to fill the oil all the way to the top of the threads, whether that be on a gx 120, 160, 200, 240/270 or 340/390. the dipsticks are just there to mess with you because they really don't serve a purpose.
My understanding is Simpson supports the idea, to fill up with oil until it just starts to drain out. The dipstick is only for checking for oil levels periodically, things happen.
How can I get replacement parts for soap attachment fittings? No soap was coming out of the wand using the correct nozzles ( black, and [ pink for a two-story home])
I've probably used it 15 times since I've gotten it. It's been perfect every time until today. For some reason I have no pressure. The honda motor is running great. I'm about to start taking apart the AAA pump and see what's going on... Never worked on a pressure washer pump, so hopefully there isn't too much wrong.
@@JonnyBlazeTCB I don't know how they'd know you messed with it if you put it back together the same way you took it apart. I contacted customer support and a rude woman on the phone gave me the name and address of the nearest warranty repair shop.
@@JonnyBlazeTCB after I took the pump apart and put it back together, it worked fine. I still dont know what caused it to not spray, but it's worked fine several times since then.
Biggest piece of junk I’ve ever bought wait untill you need to use warranty Simpson don’t stand behind there products I’ll never buy Simpson again should have got a kranzle or ar blue for same money and yeah the Honda motor great motor whys the piece of junk hop around and exhaust glows red hot since the day I got it never again Simpson and on Simpson website it says ot is commercial it’s not even good enough to be residential

Great vid! This helped me learn the difference between the GX and GC models.
Glad I could help!
I think honda says don't screw the cap all the way down when you check the oil , so you had the right amount of oil.
True !

Wow. Lucky. I got it on sale, but you stole it.
@ yeah man it was crazy. I’ve used it a few times now. That thing is a beast with that Honda motor.
This is even considered a entry level pro pressure washer. Can’t wait to get one.
did you get it? how is it so far
This is a really nice unti. I would call it prosumer

Yeah, it may 'peak' at 3300 psi, but I bet you're right that manufacturers lie about the real PSI.
How is it the “best power washer” but it’s brand new just out of the box and you’ve never used it?

Did you try pulling chem or soap from downatreamer?
I haven't tried it. Never had a need to.
The Bauer predator from Harbor freight has 3200 psi & 2.8 gpm, it is also cheaper !
I went with this for the Honda engine. Feel more confident in durability.
The pump seals leak
Throttle isn’t stuck it’s locked by Honda

Good to know. It was right at the top of the threads before I dumped a little bit out.
Works like a champ when you don't screw it all the way down... just like the instructions say 👌🏼

I was getting soap at one point, but just stop due to the damaged iron ball in the fitting provided for the soap tube. This can be seen on the pump.
Hows it holding up?
